I took the stairwell and there Kira was. I sat down on the roof, staying arm's length from her in case she didn't want anyone too close to her. "I'm sorry I mentioned your skin tone. I just couldn't help but speak my mind. The tone in your voice tells me you're not in the best terms with your father. Do you know him?"
Look down and show some mercy if you can.

I leaned against the midevil stones that made the castle, as I thought about my mom who died where I stood. I soon heard footsteps coming up and soon hear his voice.

"I'm sorry I mentioned your skin tone. I just couldn't help but speak my mind. The tone in your voice tells me you're not in the best terms with your father. Do you know him?" He said.

"No I never knew my dad, all Queen Baltazar will tell me is that he left mom in a rage after some arguement." I replied without looking at him.

I just realized I had told him a small piece of my family history, a guY i don't even know, I just told th only story I knew my father by.

Out of the corner of my eye, there was no doubt Kira was of Egyptian descent. A little lighter than my own skin, but still part Egyptian. If she's of Egyptian descent on her father's side, then he had to be darker than she was. "That's awful. I suppose your mother wanted to tell him something, but your father was too furious for a discussion, huh?" I sighed. "I once left the woman I loved when I found out she killed my new generation. Even after so many years of procrastinating, I still love her and miss her. I came in hopes of making amends with her and to thank her for giving me someone I've spent five centuries with." I didn't gaze at Kira, still feeling at fault for Delariva's death.

Something hits me in the back of the head something yelling to be that this wasn't right. I turned to look at the man my heart pounding in my chest, could it really be him.

"Uhh, yea. Wait who were you hoping to make amen's with exactly?" I said.

I had a serious look on my face my heart pounded in my chest, if this was him, then this would be my only chance to kill him.

There was no way I could lie my way out of this situation, but I had other ideas. I stated in Egyptian that she wouldn't believe me if I told her. After this, I returned to English. "You suspect something and you're hoping to take the shot while it's still in front of you. I can tell just by hearing your heart pounding in your chest. You and I are of the same kind of creature. You're a vampire as well as I am. Five centuries in your eternal lifetime, which is young compared to my age."

"I don't care what your age is, who were you planning on making amends with? What was her name." I growled though gritted teeth.

I curl my finger's as I wait my anger rising, this couldn't be him was it? Vampire King Fidelis Nemisis? The one who sired me?

I could hear her heart pounding more, fueled by her fury. I noticed she was becoming paler and her eyes as red as her nails. How could she do that? Only I could do that. I got on my feet, getting ready to escape if there was going to be a fight. A part of me wouldn't allow me to lift a finger at or on Kira, almost like I felt a connection with her. Besides, at the physical age of seventeen, she counted as a woman-child, both of which I don't feed from. If I had to, I might as well break her neck.
The part of me who wanted to spare her kicked me where it hurts the most. What was I thinking? I can't hurt her. She could be of my bloodline. I can't hurt my own blood. I mentally swat myself in the wrist. My own blood? I must be mad. "If I told you, you might not believe me. Normally I'd name names, but in this case I won't."

My anger was ready to explode, I turned as pale as my mother suppsedly was, my eyes turned blood red with rage. I punched the pilier to my side to try and curl my anger, but it was hopeless.

"My name I am Princess Des, daughter of a glorious vampire queen, daughter of a foolish vampire king. My name is Kira Des. Daughter of Delariva Des. Daughter of Fidelis Nemisis and the most powerful vampire in the world." I growled deeply.

When I heard her state her title and my own name was in the same breath, there was nothing I could say or even think of saying. I could barely move as I stood in front of her. Gods, what have I done? The threat of my ultimate test was Kira, my own daughter. Just as I warned Delariva I might do, I fainted right where I stood.

The fool faint's where he stood from my words, what a weakling. Strongest vampire in world my foot. I go downstair's ordering for him to be retrieved and not allowed to leave the castle dawn was soon approaching as guards ran up the stair's to retrieve him. As dawn approached I went to my mother's room where I slept the day away confident in beating my father the next night.

When I came to, I was in the same bed I once slept in during my first time in the castle. I got out of bed and tested the door. It was locked, no doubt by some reinforced alloy that could keep a vampire in the room. I sat down behind the desk and tried to remember what vampire Queen Victoria told me. I murmured under my breath, "Vampires as old as two millennia and over have little to no chance of procreation if they weren't virgin mortals when they were turned. The exception to the inferitility rate among vampires would be those who were turned while still virgin mortals, which are very rare even in the jungles of Africa." I pounded my fist against the desk. "I'm such an imbecile. Because I was a virgin when I was turned, I had a better chance at procreation than the rest. Because of my immature moments with Delariva, I've sired the threat of my ultimate test." I sighed in defeat. My eternal lifetime was about to come to an end by a child of my own blood and there was nothing I could do to make her have mercy on her own father.

I pace, a horrible feeling twisting in my gut, and leave the apartment against Fidelis' wishes. I reach the castle, surprised this is where he went, just before dawn. Slipping inside like the first time, I wait until dusk to snoop around. I realize I'm shaking and try to bury the fear, looking for Fidelis. A servant spots me and I curse myself mentally, trying to get away. Another one stops me and I run a hand through my hair.

Wonderful, just wonderful. Why didn't I just follow what Fidelis taught?

They latch onto my arms and drag me somewhere. I decide not to struggle, not wanting to create that big of a scene. Fidelis had said he'd be back before dawn. Something went wrong. He always kept his word.

I swallow when I see who I'm brought to, relieved it's not my murderer. I'm not sure I could keep up my resolve in front of her...

I sat at my mother's three way mirror, looking at myself. I was told that this way my mother's old room before she had passed away to meet the god's of ancient Egypt for her crimes, which was foolish of her. But she was still my mother nonetheless. I sat there patiently as I thought of how to go about killing my father, I want to make him wish he had never sired me and so that he would never hurt anyone else ever again.

Kenia Baltazar

My servant's bring before me an intruder, from what the guard's tell me. I get up and walk over to him as they keep him restrained, I hold his head up and recognized him immediately.

"Release him." I order.

He falls to his hands and knees and looks up at me as I walk back and sit on the throne. He get's to his feet and looks at me.

"I'm sure you don't remember me, so allow me to introduce myself. I am Queen Baltazar, I was once Madam Des most loyal lieutenant during your first stay here. But sadly Madam Des is no longer among us. But enough of that. You shouldn't have come here Arlan, Fidelis is mere hour's away from his duel with his enemy. He may not survive and if you are discovered to be with Fidelis then I fear for your life." I said.

"Release him," She orders.

I drop to my knees and bite my tongue, not wanting to dig a deeper hole for myself.

What? Fidelis may not survive?

"I want to see him," I say with more resolve than I knew I had, "Now."

"So be it, guards escort Mr. Arlan to Fidelis." I order.

Two guard's come but don't touch Arlan.

"This way sir." One said.

They went off to Fidelis' room and I prayed to the ancient god's of efypt that Madam Des will soon return.
