I wake again, no better. The dream hadn't even come, cruel thing. I sit up weakly and look around, finding Fidelis by the door. I yawn and take in the room again, part of me still thinking this is a dream. No old memories resurface as I think, reminding me how lost I really am.

When the requested prisoners arrived, I locked them in so they wouldn't escape. I pushed a pressure point so they won't fight, then gave one of them to Arlan. "You look starved, dear heart. Go ahead and feed. It's for your health. A starved vampire is more insane than one addicted to innocent blood." I latched on the other prisoner and drank him two mouthfuls close to dry. After I had my fill, I broke my prey's neck for an extra measure.

Fidelis receives two prisoners and hands one to me, asking me to feed. I don't hesitate, sinking my fangs into the prisoner's neck and taking in mouthful after mouthful. How long had it been since I fed? I shake off the question and can't help but drain the prisoner dry.

I stopped Arlan from draining the prisoner dry. As Arlan looked at me dazed, I broke his prey's neck. "I taught you how to feed, Arlan. You must never drain your prey dry or your prey will take you to death with him. I don't want to lose you on that account." I caught a servant from passing by and told her to dispose the bodies. Once that was done, I sat before the hearth. "I thought you knew what I taught you. There's still much I wanted to teach you, but you left on the night of my 5020th rebirthday. You would've known as much as I do by now if you never left."

Fidelis stops me from drinking the prisoner dry and has a servant dispose of their bodies. I look up at him, dazed, and listen as he reminds me that I shouldn't ever drink someone dry. Nodding, I swallow and come out of my trance. I look down as he continues and sits by the hearth.

"I thought you knew what I taught you. There's still much I wanted to teach you, but you left on the night of my 5020th rebirthday. You would've known as much as I do by now if you never left." He says.

I swallow and cross my arms over my chest.

"I'm sorry," I say again.

I heard him apologize and I sighed, still staring into the hearth. "I know you are. It's just hurt for me not to bring it up when things don't happen like they used to. The last lesson I was trying to teach you was how to use your physical charm to lure a girl towards you. Your first attempt went off to a good start until Delariva killed the girl you were talking with. It agitated me for your lesson being spoiled. I still want to teach you everything I know. It's the least I could've done for saving you from being drained to death."

I nod and hesitate before joining him at the hearth and sitting at his side.

"Can still teach me," I say, looking at him.

He could. I need my memory, need to know how to do what he wants me to. I don't want him hurt over me anymore. Not again.

I took his hand. "Then I'll resume your lessons, but as it seems I might have to start from the beginning. I'll have to teach you how to hunt all over again. It's going to be a long time of education, but I'm not quite known for being impatient." I stood up and kissed his cheek. "It'll be worth the stress. With you back to me, I'll always feel at home and willing to teach you at any time." I led him back to bed. "For now, we must rest before the sun rises. Tomorrow night, I have a personal date with Delariva to take care of, so you'll be resting alone tomorrow night." I kissed his forehead and fell asleep before dawn rose.

The next time soon came and I rose with the stair's and moon beaming down at me. I get up and go over to my three way mirror, closely fixing my make up as I hear a knock on the door as I see Fidelis walk in. He gave me a friendly smile and walked over to me as I went on with finishing my make up. He stands at my side and looks in the mirror, we looked like a couple together in the mirror, as I finish I finally stand and lean against FIdelis as I embrace his should and his arm goes around. I look up at him as I felt him caress a more private place.

Once again, I allowed Delariva to make a man out of me. She gave me exactly what I came for in her room. When I woke up, I gathered up my clothes and redressed myself. When I found my vest, I spotted a small book. Curiousity made me go ahead and read it to see what I could find. The entry I opened to was shocking. It was entirely a written confession, written by Delariva's hand. She ran into Allan who had a bloodslave of his own the night of my rebirthday. Delariva attacked Allan, drained him dead, and left his body there where the sun would turn him to ashes. When she heard me crying about Allan not coming to comfort me, she felt horribly guilty of her crime. I shut the book and ran back to my room. "Arlan, wake up. We're leaving this place right now."

I'm awoken by Fidelis' voice.

"Arlan, wake up. We're leaving this place right now," He says.

I sit up and look at him, confused. I furrow my brow and wonder why he wanted to leave, thinking he liked it here.

"W-why?" I ask, standing.

I packed up my clothes, ink bottles, and quil in a suitcase. "We can't stay here anymore. The lady of the house lied to me." I locked the suitcase. "You died, but Osiris had mercy on me and put you in the body of another vampire. Delariva drained you and left your body to burn by sunlight. She killed you and lied to keep me for herself." I put my suitcase in his arms and held him in my own. "We'll have to hide somewhere other than the apartment. No doubt that's the first place she'll look. Thankfully, I know a place to hide." In rapid speed, I carried him to an apartment that was mine under a false name. It was an exact replica of the apartment I once had when Arlan was Allan. "They call this a penthouse, the best apartment in the place." I let Arlan explore on his own as I returned to Delariva's castle. She was clothed when I came. I growled at her. "You lied to me. You took me Allan would come back when he wouldn't because you murdered him. He was my sacred treasure and you took his eternal life."

Fidelis packs up his suitcase and sets it in my arms, taking me in his.

The dream... In no time, we're in another apartment that looks exactly like the first. He sets me down on my feet and I look around, numb from the clearing images of the dream.

"They call this a penthouse, the best apartment in the place." He says.

He disappears as I walk around. I drop on the couch, wrapping my arms around my chest, and close my eyes to see it all unfold again. The faces are clear and the fog is lifted.

I died.

In Fidelis rage he charged me grabbing me by my neck slamming me against the wall, I didn't fight him tho, I couldn't fight what was true. I couldn't bring myself to hurt him. Tear's ran down my face, I didn't expect mercy for my crime. I waited for him kill me, but I wasn't met with any such force. He drops me and takes a few steps back.

"Don't come looking for me, I'll kill you." He says quietly.

He storms out and I look up to see Kenia come to my side, I make no effort to hide my tear's as I get up with Kenia's help. And fall into my bed, weak and upset. I mention one last thing to Kenia.

"Don't go after him Kenia." I said with seemingly final words.

Although I wanted to kill her with my bare hands, a part of me refused to allow me to do that. A part of me wanted to spare her. I knew what it was. Although I was becoming furious at Delariva for lying in my face, Hathor gave her to me as the mate I've secretly longed for. I returned to Arlan and held him in my arms, both our chests together. "It's alright now, dear heart. We're together again as we were when you were mortal. My Arlan, my restored sacred treasure. I never let you go and never will. Without you, I'm never home. You're my new generation, the son I never had."
