I stepped on the shield as I looked down at him, as I held BloodFang to the shield. I readied a slice as I prepare to speck.

"Blood Fang is strong enough to cut though that worthless piece of crap," I said slicing into the shield to prove a point.

I became hesitaten as he didn't say anything, why was I? I were mere seconds away from ending my father immortal life forever. And yet I can't bring myself to kill him, I begin to force my self to turn the sword around slowly and raise it into the air, I feel a tear slip from me as I'm about to stab down when I hear it.

"Kira!" I hear a woman's voice behind me.

I turn towards the voice as Fidelis upheaves and throws me off, I crash to the ground and BloodFang falls away from me.

"You naughty naughty girl! Attempting to kill your own father!" I hear the female voice scold.

Fidelis

I managed back on my feet and found the source of the voice. "Delariva!" I embraced her. "Oh good gods, you're alive." I looked at Kira. "Our daughter's been hellbent on killing me for the past five centuries, only because of that night I lost my temper." I returned my gaze to Delariva. "And I'm sorry that happened. I never should've lost my temper like that."

I giggle as he embraces me tightly. Hearing how Kira's been a very very bad girl, he finally let's go of me. I take a deep breath as I feel so loved right now it's good to be alive once more.

"Well Fidelis, I been trying to get here for the last day trying to stop our daughter. I died five hundred year's ago to go see your anicent Egyption God's, and I had a deal with them to save your hide from our daughter and to admit the crime of me killing Alan to Arlan." I said.

I see Kira reaching for her sword, but soon step on it and pull it away from her and then take poession of it.

"And you young lady won't be getting this back for a good fifty year's or so." I scold her once more.

"But!"

"No butt's Kira, your father had all the right to leave me five hundred year's ago, he had all the right to be angery with me. All tho it was unfortune it that his anger had the best of him or I would have told him about my pregeancy now isn't that right big boy?" I look at Fidelis.

Fidelis

I chuckled. "Exactly. Although our daughter here has your speed when she's angry, she packs quite an impact when she's calm. She may look like you, but by the gods she has my eyes and a lighter version of my skin. I knew she was of Egyptian descent, but I didn't know she was my own blood until last night. After that, I fainted right where I stood. I told you that would happen." I crossed my arms as I looked at Kira. "You should've given me a better chance to explain myself, young lady. Because you tried to kill out of misguided anger, you're grounded."

"Yes you are indeed grounded, unless you want to fight your mother who won't hold back like your father, I suggest you got to your room, now." I glare at her.

Kira goes down the hall groaning and moaning, as I turn to Fidelis and wrap my arms around him.

"God I've missed you do much in the last five hundred year's, but I got to finish my end of the deal and tell Arlan of what I had done." I said.

Fidelis

I held her in my arms. "After that night I lost my temper, I've been missing you. Even now in my new place, a woman's touch is greatly needed. I came here to apologize and make up for all those years apart." I looked at the east. Dawn was coming and we were on the roof. "Oh gods." I managed to get her into the shadows of the doorway, but it was too late to save myself. I was burning so much, the sun was too powerful to endure. I was incinerated with nothing but ashes left behind.

"Fidelis!!!" I cry out.

There was nothing left, Fidelis had burned to ash. I curl my finger's in a rage as there battle had forced up here, Kira had pushed her father up here so he would die by sunrise, The same way I did. I walked down the steps depressed at what I just witnesses, I walk down the stair's and into the throne room where Kira was sitting on the side of the throne waiting for me.

"Come sit here mommy." She said cutely.

Spoiler
Edited part at the bottom. The rest of it should be fine, seeing as he left before Fidelis was killed and still somewhat believes he's alive until the end, where he kind of sort of feels him gone. Anymore problems, tell me and I'll fix it.

Arlan

I'd watched it all. Everything. His arms around her...Her arms around him... I hear my name mentioned a few times, but can't watch any longer. What he has with them... He has what he wanted with them. He is happy. I wish I could have seen that before. I wish I would have known that before.

I don't move, thinking about what to do. I want to run again. I don't ever want to come back here, but I'd caused him enough pain. Leaving the first time had killed us both, me literally and him emotionally. I can't do that to him again.

Glancing back at them, I bottle up all my emotion and bolt back to the room. If things were to be as they are, they will not find me cowering in the shadows. They will not find my eyes rimmed red and assume it's because I'd watched. If they must find me at all, my eyes will be rimmed red because of the thought of Fidelis dead. If they must find me at all, I will be sitting up, head held high, and expressionless. If they must find me at all...

I compose myself and sit near the window, nowhere that I had seen Fidelis at, that I had lain with him, that I had sat with him. I see dawn approaching and know that he wouldn't want this, no matter how much I thought it was my only way out. I slip off the windowsill, pull the curtains, and slide down to the floor. My arms wrapped around my chest, something inside me breaks again. For the first time in my immortal life, I'm awake and alive after a sunrise, even if half of me feels dead.

I get up out of my throne and head to my old room, tired and exsuated from today's event's. I find Kira in my bed but don't bother to wake her, I get in bed with her and wrap my arms around her and hold her protectivly in my arms as I pass into a dreamless sleep.

Realizing that sitting here isn't going to do anything and that no one will find me that moment, I take one of the lighter blankets from the bed and wrap it around me. I sit back against the wall beneath the window and curl up, setting my forehead on my knees and falling asleep. No one will walk through that door. No one will give me second thought, for I'm just a background image now. Nothing special. Not anymore.

It's been twenty year's since my father's death to the sun, five hundred year's of misguided anger. Had gone out the door for him to only minutes later have him die from the sun, in the twenty year's since his death mom had established a new day here at the castle. The day is called "Mourning of The King" she did it in honor to remember my dad who died saving mom, Since dad's death mom had become the new eldest vampire in the world and unchallenged queen of the world. In those twenty year's for me however, I had grown to be the captain of mom's security team and watched the border's and field's of the castle for any activity. It was the day of Mourning of The King today it was raining, dark and gloomy. The silence far eeire, I stood on the roof doing another security check as I see Arlan.

Twenty years. Passed like days. With each one that passed, I felt myself growing more and more out of touch with the person he saw in me, with the person I'd been loved for...lost for. I'd done some things he would never approve of, never forgive me of. But he was gone. I'll burn in the fiery pits of hell or whatever afterlife I'm taken to. I don't care anymore. Peace is something out of reach.

I'd drank from an innocent. The one crime I know would have killed him if he knew. I don't remember why I did it, just know that it was out of spite. The only thing I remember of that night is screaming at my own reflection, just because I thought I saw him standing behind me.

And this Day of Mourning... I only mourn the man I thought I knew. I only mourn what he took from me. I only mourn what I lost that damned night I saw him with her. And I don't care how selfish, how stupid it is. He'd ripped me from my life, loved me, then turned away for someone else. I am not the helpless child I had been viewed as when he was still here. It took too long for me to realize that.

I walk up to the roof, unsure as to why I'm still here. I could never return to either apartment, not after what happened in them. Kira is up there when I arrive, stirring up inconceivable emotions within me, and I force myself to walk to the other end, even if I can see absolutely nothing from this angle. I don't speak, crossing my arms over my chest. Isn't that the respectful thing to do anyway? Let her mourn? I'd been with him too long not to at least let her have that. Even if the very sight of her reminds me of what I'd never have.

Arlan, what can I say about him. The secret I promised to keep with me would stay with me, even mom didn't know what Arlan had done. The poor child he had attacked and drained dry didn't have a chance against Arlan, I promised Arlan that I would keep his secret and I have so far. I move some of the paper's on my clip board so I was looking at the back, a two photos tapes to the front of the clip board that showed Arlan and dad smiling happily in one photo and in the other me and mom smiling for dad who I knew one day would soon return.

"You alright Arlan?" I ask him.

The rain was pouring like an ever-roaring waterfall, some drops kissing my face in spite of the hood on my head. I've been awake for an hour and already hungry from my journey from the morgue to the castle. A part of me was broken, but strong enough to lead me to where it wanted me to be. The castle had the windows shut, no doubt to prevent the rain from getting in. According to the local gossip in a tavern not far from here, tonight was of mourning. The twentieth anniversary of vampire King Fidelis' ultimate sacrifice to his Queen. I was told he was burned by the sun in attempt to save his Queen from suffering the same fate he did, so this day was made in honor of his death. I stayed outside the moat, waiting to be let in. Because I was in front of a castle, it was best that I show some proper respect.

I set my eyes on a figure standing before the moat and take a moment to assess the situation. A visitor? Unlikely. I turn to Kira as she asks if I'm alright and choose to ignore the question.

"There's someone waiting to be let in," I tell her, "Male, from the looks of it."
