Cinderwitch | By the gates
I suppose the smart thing to do would have been to walk away slowly. I was, after all, still invisible. However, thinking I was discovered, I panicked. I started to run, zigging and zagging through the streets. My footsteps pounded, and I tried to keep my hood up, but it flew off a couple times anyway, I'm afraid.
I came to a dead end and whipped around. Dropping the cloak on the ground, I prepared to fight.

Hey, sorry I haven't been on in a while, though I am glad you guys continued the storybook. I was afraid it had died.

Guard/near the gates, early morning

David was doing his rounds, when the sound of pounding feet reached his ears. He spun around, no one was in sight. The sound was still clear in the morning fog. He decided to follow the sound, it lead down an alley. Cocking his head in curiosity, he warily walked toward the sound.

Spoiler
Cinderwitch can do whatever she wants to him... nothing too serious though.

Baltazar Drake | Argos

I chased the sound of running until I pulled what was a cloak off the Dragonborn I once treated. I looked at her in the eye. "What the blazes are you doing here? I thought I got you out of here safely." I studied her wing. It was still wounded. "Mind if I could finish treating that wing of yours? You can't really fly with a wounded wing."

Cinderwitch | A street in Argos

I relaxed my stance and lowered my fists, but there remained an icy, cautious edge to my gaze. "Hello, Baltazar," I said. "I was just wandering around, and um.... oh yes, I'd be greatly obliged if you would, please." I discreetly picked up the invisible cloak before falling into step beside Baltazar. "So, tell me about yourself," I said.

Mayor/walking to the forest/early morning

The morning fog still lay heavy upon the town of Argos, no one would be able to notice his absence.
He had told his guards not to disturb him, he said that he was going to nap for a couple hours.
So gullible.
As he trekked up the hill towards the forest, he became acutely aware of his surroundings. The dew on the grass soaked through his shoes, giving him cold and wet feet. As he walked farther, he saw the trees thinning; he quickened his pace.
In front of him was the huge gaping mouth of a cave. There were wooden doors in the mouth to keep out un-wanted visitors.
It was the hideout, of those trying to rob the town. He swallowed the lump in his throat, he was betraying his town, but it was for the greater good. Meaning, his life depended on it. He approached the great wooden doors, and knocked, two quick, one thump.
A small square cut into the door opened, an eye studied him.
"What d'you want?" The gruff voice asked.
"To speak with Cinderwitch." He replied. The lump was back in his throat, he forced it down so he could speak. "I have some information that I think you might find useful..."

Spoiler
Sorry about that. I know, real shocker. But it was getting...stale, too boring, not enough action. Although I don't intend for him to be caught for a little while yet.

Baltazar Drake | Argos with Cinderwich

I thought over what I could tell her. "I may not look like it, but I was born half dragon like yourself. My dragon parent was my mother who was a forest-dweller. When she found out she was pregnant with me, I don't know what she thought. After I was born, my mother left me at my father's doorstep, since Dragonborns in my mother's tribe was forbidden and the penalty was death for both the Dragonborn and the human parent. I guess my mother didn't want me to die, so she left me with my father in order for me to live. I ended up being raised a Fighter and grew up with very little friends to play with in my childhood. After I finished training with my father, I was given a job by the royal family. I don't get enough money to be considered rich, but it was enough to keep my father on his feet. Whether he knows it or not, he's weak and ill, so I give him the most of my pay to keep him fed and well.
As for my mother, I visit her every so often. I look human because my medallion completely hides the evidence of being a Dragonborn from other dragons. She gave it to me because she still fears I would lose both my life and my father's if I was found out. Her tribe doesn't know I'm her son, which is a complete secret we keep between each other. So now here I am as a loner, working just to keep my father well and on his feet." I looked at her. "Now you know about me. Why not tell me about yourself? I'll listen."
Look down and show some mercy if you can.

Cinderwitch | Argos with Baltazar
"My mother was offered as a maiden sacrifice by her tribe to the local tyrannical dragon, my father. Needless to say, she was not exactly...fond of me. She died when I was quite young. My father never cared if I lived or died, so I had to take care of myself."
We arrived at Baltazar's hut and he showed me inside. I sat on his cot while he collected a bowl and some salve. "I've got a lovely cave high in the Eternity Mountains in the far west," I said, "I've been living and collecting my hoard there for a number of years. Haven't you got a hoard of some kind?" He sat next to me and I held out my wing for him to take a look at.
"I know," I said with a twisted smile. "All that gold I've been hearing about is yours. You're guarding it, and only pretending it's for the kingdom. By-and-by it will all come out that the treasure really belongs to you."

Baltazar Drake | His hut with Cinderwich

I went to treating her wing. "I know that natural dragons like my mother and your father are jewel hoarders, but I haven't hoarded any kind of jewel in my life no matter how great the temptation is. As for the treasure, the royal family never trusted me with that secret. They believed that I might give in to my dragon instincts and steal as many jewels as I could carry. I'd fly backwards from here to my father's hut just to get my hands on at least one jewel I could have for myself and a large sack of gold to give to my ailing father. Even though I'm half dragon like yourself, I just can't seem to be clever enough to just grab a jewel and a sack of gold and leave before someone caught me."

Cinderwitch | Baltazar's hut
For a fighter, Baltazar was one of the better healers I'd seen. He was more gentle when handling the injury as many of our class. Actually, he seemed generally less uncouth than most fighters I'd met. "You're guarding something and you don't even know where it is? That's ridiculous," I said. There goes my chance to get any information tonight.

I studied him for a moment. I almost felt sorry for him and his ailing father. I debated inviting him to join us in taking the gold. He could be a valuable asset as an insider. Then I remembered that I was already sharing the gold with someone and shut my mouth. For all I knew, there wasn't nearly as much gold as even the most conservative guesses I'd heard in the taverns.

Baltazar stood up to clean away the honey and yarrow salve he had been using. I yawned and stood up, making sure to grab my invisible cloak. "This night has been very long," I said, "I really should go. I hope to see you again soon." With a flick of my tail, I left the hut and headed back through the forest in the direction of my cave.

Mayor/ in Cinderwitch's cave, it's starting to drizzle

Spoiler
All right, I just wrote a really long reply...then it somehow got deleted. So I will make it short.

The guard opened the doors to the cave. He took Mayor West by the shoulder and led him to wooden table and chairs. He sat. Then a question popped into his mind that he had been meaning to ask. He turned to the guard and asked, "Do you guys have a group name, or something I can call you?"
No reply came.
Bother.
Then a series of knocks were heard at the door. The guard nodded, and opened the door, revealing Cinderwitch.
He sat straighter and smoothed any wrinkles in his suit. He never understood why he found her so beautiful and facinating. She moved swiftly to the table and sat, interlocked her fingers and said, "Straight to business, what news do you bring from Argos?"

Spoiler
I couldn't remember if I had given the mayor a name before. So his name is West.

I went behind West and looked down at one of his pockets. The map to the gold was sticking out. I crouched down ,reached towards it, and took it. I walked towards Cinderwitch and layed the map on the table.

Oh thank goodness! Where the heck is Skye? Let's get this thing moving again!

Cinderwitch | Her cave

"What's this?" I said, my eyes shining. "The map to the gold?" I scooped up the map and tucked it into my belt. Stading up, I said, "Thank you, mayor, but it seems your services will not be needed anymore." I snapped my fingers. "Bryan, you may... dispatch our guest." I left the room, heading to my own chamber to ook at the map and gloat for a moment, and to get some sleep before returning to the town to take their gold. An evil grin shadowed my face at the thoughts, and I held up my ear to hear the marvelous shrieking sound of the mayor's demise.

Spoiler
Wow, Cinder's so... EVIL right there!
