Artemis Climalsi | With Drayden and Ryder

I sighed. "I've been asked that for years since the Daylights first began. I know where the pendant is, but I can't just grab it from the current owner. It has to be given willingly. Since it was first made, I watched it switch hands from generation to generation. As far as I can tell, neither one of us- Daylight-Cillians and Nightwalker-Morganians alike- is on the winning side. As long as the pendant remains in the hands of a human, both parties have to take cautious measures to acquire the pendant. I myself might be closer to acheiving the goal better than the Nightwalker-Morganian group will ever be. Because I'm technically a friend of the family, the pendant is close to being in good hands." I looked at Ryder. "Don't start picking a fight with Tiger. He's not my cat, but he can act like it anytime he wants."

AJ and Flame|Artemis's House|Night

AJ woke up to the sound of talking so she got up and walked into the kitchen to get a drink. Mabye you should ask first? Flame thought to AJ. Ok then, I will. AJ thought back, stubbornly. AJ walked out of the kitchen and into the lounge room. There, she saw Artemis and the two people from earlier.
"Hello?" she said, confused.

Ryder

The little girl from earlier walked in.

"Hello?" she said.

"Oh, a snack!" Ryder said impulsively. Drayden chuckled, Artemis punched him in the shoulder.

After I punched Drayden on the shoulder, I growled deeply, baring my fangs. "Don't even think about hurting that girl. She's my guest, so you two boys better behave. As long as you're under my roof, no one hurts anyone unless I say so. I'm the boss of the group, so leave the girl alone or I'll rip your heads off." I was very serious with my words. Even Mia knew that I mean anything I say.

AJ and Flame both growled angrily as an aura of dark purple surrounded them both. Can I take him out? Flame thought, eagerly.
"No! Flame you may not Take him out! Understand!" AJ said, trying to calm herself and Flame down.
"DAMN! WHY NOT!" He howled.

I clenched my fist and got on my feet, stomping towards the fox called Flame. I growled, "Listen, fox boy. You're not going to cause any harm to Drayden or Ryder. I just said that nobody harms anyone under my roof and I meant it. I don't give a damn if you're an animal or not. Nobody's hurting anybody under my roof or in my presence." I raised my voice angrily. "Does anyone ever listen to a damn word I say?!" I was panting after this. My fury always wore me out.

AJ started to cry and Flame started to howl. They both were not happy but the dark purple aura had made them more powerful and yet twice a weak.
"I-I'm s-sorry!" AJ and Flame cried. "I just can't control my temper!"
"Flame never has had any control over his temper but I-" AJ got cut off by Flame.
"She is the one who stops me every time! WE'RE SORRY!" Flame wailed.

I arrived home happy to see that Ubee had not only, not chewed up my sketchpads, but also hadn't used the bathroom on the floor. I took that happiness and faced my mothers bedroom, walking slowly down the hall.
I knocked "Mom? You there?" I asked slowly then pushed the door open to see a lump under crumpled blue sheets that was my mom. "Hey Mom! I got you something!" Her head poked out from under the sheet and I handed her the slightly crumpled roses.
"Um, thanks hon. I should get up shouldn't I?" She asked sadly. I nodded pasting a big smile on my face and pulled her arm dragging her out of bed where she fell into a heap on the floor.
'Ow." was her only reply before she rose and headed to the shower, her creepy bedhead casting odd shadows around the badly lit room.
Know that she's back in the atmosphere I'm afraid that she'll think of me as a plain old Jain told a story 'bout a man who was to afraid to fly so he never did land. ~Train

Devil, I wrote to the listed morganian-nightwalkers yet no one had replied so I think its just the two of us :( for now

Blaze Carver - morganian house - midnight

I counted to cracks and blotches of chipped paint on the ceiling as I listened to the grandfather clock's pendulum sway back and forth in a rhythmic and lazy beat. For the past few days, everyone was keeping low profiles, but just in a day's time, everything was going to start.

Bella snuffled beside me and I turned to my side to reach for her ear. Slyly, she leapt on to the bed and wrapped herself around me; nose tucked against my neck and tail thumping happily on my knees.

Pffffft, yeah right...fat lot of help sour lemon juice would do. When life also throws me a bag of sugar, then we'll start talking.

Drayden Underhill/Artemis's apartment/night

Still rubbing his shoulder, Drayden gave a great yawn, interrupting the fight that was going on. He glanced at the clock, it read 9:00 pm. Gosh, it was late, not late for normal people but late for a Daylight.
"Hey Artemis, d'you mind if I camp out here for tonight? I still don't have a job to pay for a place of my own." With a glance at Ryder, he added. "I would also like to know if you have any plans of making a move against the Nightwalkers and Morganians. It's been a little while now, and I'm itching to eat someone." He glanced at the little girl before saying, "I might go looking for them myself if I don't eat someone in the next few days. Excusing the little girl of course." He stood up and walked over to the fridge, "Meanwhile, I'll help myself to some blood."
He grabbed a bag filled with blood and started glugging it down. Boy was he thirsty.

Ryder/ Artemis' apartment

"I'm not usually this hungry, grab me a bag would ya Drayden?" he said

Drayden dropped a bag at his lap, he bit into it and sucking lightly like he would through a straw, trying not to be too messy.

Artemis Climalsi | His Apartment (night)

I shrugged. "I would've had a plan if I knew who I was up against. So far, I've have jack squat on the leader of the Morganians and Nightwalkers, which makes me think he's either hiding or taunting me. Either way, I can't let him know I was out and about this afternoon. Although daytime is a Daylight's best strength, Nightwalkers might get smart to walk around past their bedtime. Every Daylight knows that I don't have a bedtime because I haven't slept in five centuries." I looked at AJ and Flame. "Get back to your room, you two. This is vampire business and it gets pretty nasty in the presence of..." I grinned, showing my fangs. "...fresh blood."

Alphonse Dean

I looked at Mia's face in the moonlight it was full of concern. I knew little of Artemis's past he spoke very seldom to me, except for those rare occasions. "Mia I suggest we head back to Artemis's apartment I believe we shall find him there."
I held her hand tight, "Would you rather we walk or take the fast way."

Mia squeezed my hand, "I really would like to check on him. I'm sorry I have to end the night like this."

I smiled, "It's perfectly fine I understand." I pulled her into the shadow of a nearby tree. "No stay close this spell is tricky at best." I focused on some flowers I had placed in Artemis's apartment last spring. Orchid's my personal favorite, slowly vines began to snake around Mia and I from the ground. I whispered in to the vine, "roots call to roots let us travel thine ancient vine."

Drayden Underhill/Artemis's apartment/night

Drayden chortled at the little girl's face after Artemis bared his fangs at her. She glanced around at them before scuttling back into her room, with her annoying fox behind her.
He turned back to Artemis.
"Should we get cocky and walk around at night? They wouldn't be expecting it. In fact, they might use tonight while we're sleeping to attack. You never really know with them, they're cowards, and they know it. They will go as low as it takes to get what they want." He bared his fangs at the floor and hissed. "Man, I can't wait to give them a piece of my mind." To keep his mind off of delicious, warm bodies, he sucked the last of the scarlet blood down noisily.
