Amber and Flame|Artimis's Apartment|Night

Amber cringed at the sound of his voice then straightened up.
"Concidering the amount of death and hate we have seen, nothing you say could harm us." she said, her power radiating and showing in her aura while she spoke.
This time it was Artimis that cringed. "Fine but remember that this was your choice and anything that happens to you is your fault."
"Fine by us!" Flame said.

Raif rose when the sunlight started to peek through the canopy of leaves above him, making emerald patterns on his paper-white skin. Getting to his feet, he grabbed his sword and, strapping to his waist with a wine-red, leather belt, he pulled on his long black coat, tied his long, white hair back in a ponytail with a black ribbon and ducked through the flap of his small hut and into the cool morning air. He glanced down and patted a large, white wolf, scratching her behind the ears as the animal panted happily by his knee.
"Come along Jayla," he said, starting of towards the edge of the forest with the female wolf at his heels.
Reaching the edge of the forest, he knelt, resting on one day, sniffing the air in harmony with Jayla as he surveyed the humans going about their day. Suddenly, a change in the wind brought a new scent to his nose and his hand instinctively tightened on the hilt of sword just as Jayla raised her hackles and growled. Raif surveyed the area, his gaze coming to rest on a lone figure in the crowd. He stood, releasing his grip on his weapon, Jayla lying down contentedly beside him. He continued to watch the familiar figure for quite some time. He was about to turn away when her head swivled and her eyes met his. He tensed but did not reach for his sword. They gazed at each other for a moment before, with a curt nod, Raif turned and strode away. Jayla gazed from the girl to Raif, peed on a nearby tree and followed. As the wolf came up beside him, Raif couldn't help but wonder what she had been doing there. And what it could it mean? He had not seen her since...well...Raif had not seen her since his own death.

Artemis Climalsi | His apartment (Night)

I looked at AJ and the others, then got outside, which was usually unlike me since I rarely leave the apartment at night. I went as far as downtown by moonlight when I saw Raif again. I approached him cautiously, getting ready to turn tail if he was a Nightwalker. I wasn't sure what he was, but just in case I had to be extra careful not to give him too much contact. "After all this time, we finally meet. From what I was told, you're older than I am. A friend of mine assumes you might be my sire or grandsire. I've forgotten the face of my sire centuries ago, so I don't think you're my sire. I suppose we could have some small talk while I'm out here."
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

Raif cursed under his breath. Why am I doing this? He was crouched on a crumbling stone wall that separated woods from the booming city. He had been unable to shake his jitters all day and had resigned himself to spend the night sitting, and watching.
It was just past midnight when he smelled her. Jayla, who was lying beside him, raised her head, whining softly as the familiar figure appeared out of the darkness and, stepping into the light spoke to him. Her voice was soft as velvet, and although she whispered, her words rang clear as a bell.
"After all this time, we finally meet. From what I was told, you're older than I am. A friend of mine assumes you might be my sire or grandsire. I've forgotten the face of my sire centuries ago, so I don't think you're my sire. I suppose we could have some small talk while I'm out here."
Raif was momentarily taken aback by her boldness. Then, glaring at he snarled, "Tell your friend to keep her opinions to herself. I wouldn't her to get hurt." He smiled evilly as he drew an arrow from his quiver and, fitting it to his bow, shot it with blinding speed right past the girl's head, narrowly missing her head. With a snarl, he disappeared into the night. The girl turned and saw the arrow imbedded in the light post behind her, pinning a lock of her hair to the splintered wood.
She's my forever

Drayden Underhill, following Artemis

Artemis was there one moment, then gone the next. Drayden blinked, then relaxed, then smiled. Vampires, never missing an opportunity to show off.
Drayden walked over to the window and looked out. Sure enough, there was Artemis.
He silently trailed him, wondering why Artemis didn't announce why he was leaving.
