Melinda Asheart / Walking around the Flower District in Downtown
Melinda prosper in the streets nof the Flower districts, seeing people bustling and shoving round from shops to shops. Wondering what was all the commotion, she walking into one quaint shop with fresh roses of different colors. She picked a pinks rose with red taint on the rim of the petals. She asked how much was for a dozen, the man replied. She raised and eyebrow "Dont you think your charging too much for a simple rose?" She asked. The shopkeeper told her if she didn't like it she could go somewhere else. Melinda didn't want to leave these roses caught her attention, she bought the dozen and left.

AJ and Flame started to go towards the flower markets, sencing that something was there. What do you think it is flame? she thought. Dunno. he replied. Suddenly saw a lady buying some roses. They stood there and stared.

Melinda saw all the flowers and turned her head, looking at the two children standing. She smiled at them as she walked past them, "Pardon me." She said in a soft and sweet voice. Inhaling the scent of the young roses, a small gust of wind blew her hair back.

(Flame is a Fox daemon, got the daemon idea from the Golden Compass.) AJ and Flame were shocked that she spoke to them. "WAIT! Miss, can you please help us? We are very lost and have no home. I am Amber Jones and this." she said, pointing at the fox next to her. "is Flame. We are looking for other powers. You know, people with magickal powers." Are you sure she is a friend? Flame asked. Yes. I'm sure. AJ answered.

(I knew that but since she is a Morganian she sees them as children)
Melinda looked at the young ones as she nodded, " Follow me, I have a spare room for you two. My cat will love the company." She smile gracefully, looking at the young girls with her small pet. She walked down the roads of the Flower District, KEystroke brings you here in such a place just only you two??" She asked as she walked beside her.

Artemis Climalsi | Uptown Fortuna City- Fourth Apartment at Lookout Street (Early Evening)
I checked my watch and went outside to stroll through the uptown crowd. I knew that the Nightwalkers were the most active at night, as opposed to my fellow Daylights who are active during the day. It almost made me mad that I had to make the Daylights from willing Cillians and left-for-dead humans, but I had to so I could level the playing field. Because of my promise to Amelia, I made an alliance with the Cillian and founded the Daylights, making myself the leader of the Cillian-Daylight group. As I walked among the crowd of humans, I felt my amulet turn cold when I saw a couple witches. One of them had to be a Morganian, since the amulet only went cold in the presence of a Morganian. Because Mia was busy with Alphonse, I was on my own for the time being. I decided to see which one of the witches was a Morganian. The witch with the fox seemed harmless enough to be a Cillian, but looks can be deceiving. This I learned five centuries ago when my turned friend Derek promised to never increase the Nightwalker population and broke his promise behind my back. I didn't want to make the same mistake again.
Spoiler
To Morganian players, Artemis is known as the Daylight Master to the Nightwalker-Morganian group. Keep that in mind.
Look down and show some mercy if you can. Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.
Damn, after a few hours of poking around the busy streets of Fortuna, I still had nothing...not even a single lead. It was already nightfall which meant all the Daylighters would have gone home. The painful days I've spent waking up extra early (which is about 9 am for me) to shift my sleep schedule from day to night was all for nothing.
Bella shifted beside my feet. She stared up at me and whimpered softly, as if telling me to cool the hell down. I smiled to myself and looked up to the sky. The queerly beautiful night sprinkled with a million stars was such a sight to see.
I disappointedly sat back down on the curb of the an empty street, happy I at least managed to get a nice, long soak. Feeling crispy clean against the cool evening air could really cheer a person up.
The rendezvous point of the Nightwalkers is just a block from here, but I'm still early. Everyone's probably waking up right about now. Though I'd rather die than let it show, I'm awfully relieved that I'll be seeing them soon. Weeks without much social contact can really drive a person crazy.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade
Pffffft, yeah right...fat lot of help sour lemon juice would do. When life also throws me a bag of sugar, then we'll start talking.
(Flame is a boy) Flame nods. "Yes Madam." AJ replies. "We escaped from a reaserch faculty not far from here so we could find others that are like us." AJ! Flame thought. What are you doing?! I'm getting help! AJ replied as they followed the mysterious lady.

Ryder / Downtown Fortuna Apartment Building / Early Evening
(What would be the year?)
Ryder awoke the soft noise of the outgoing crowd that walked the streets. He must have dozed off whilst reading. An old copy of the collective works of Edgar Allen Poe lay across his chest. He looked out his window and saw the status of the day.
How long was I sleeping?
"I guess I should go for a walk." he said to himself.
He exited his apartment, the afternoon was calm. The sun shined brightly, warming his skin. He walked several blocks, before stopping to buy bread. He walked while eating, stopping occasionally to help with the dismantling of the many colorful St. Valentines Day decorations that now littered the streets.
After walking a good 20 blocks from his apartment, he couldn't help but notice a small girl, accompanied by a fox.
Peculiar
She was soon accompanied by an elder woman, she had a dark look about her.
He decided he would casually pursue them until he was satisfied they where benign. He stuck to the shadows of the human crowd, and pursued.
I rushed home with the flowers. I had forgotten to feed Ubee this morning and he was probably chewing on one of my sketch pads by now. I sighed sadly thinking of ruined drawings soon to be and began to walk faster. In my haste I bumped in to a man and the flowers tumbled to the cement and a few were trampled my un-careing feet rushing on there way.
Know that she's back in the atmosphere I'm afraid that she'll think of me as a plain old Jain told a story 'bout a man who was to afraid to fly so he never did land. ~Train
Artemis Climalsi | Pursuing Melinda and AJ (Early Evening)
I followed them silently and cautiously, trying not to alert either of the witches or the fox. My amulet chilled, but also warmed up. That meant one of the witches was a Morganian while the other was a Cillian. What confused me was that my amulet couldn't tell which was one or the other. I walked on in pursuit, staying quiet as a mouse as I followed on. I turned my attention to the fox, which at that point was when my amulet warmed until it felt like it was about to brand me. That taken to consideration, I cleared my throat to announce my presence. Both witches stopped and looked at me, the one without an animal seeming like she should know me. I said calmly to the witch with the fox, "If you're looking for others like yourself, I know a certain girl who might be within your range. I can take you there, but you'll have to keep up with me."
Look down and show some mercy if you can. Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.
(Since we appear to be lacking a DT, I was just wondering... Lazarus isn't the leader of the Morganians anymore, is he? I thought he was, but... obviously in my absence something else was arranged. I'll just make an ambiguous post.)
Lazarus James
The thrill of murder rippled through me, starting at my fingertips where the blood dripped from and spiking on to the rest of my body, leaving my entire being thrumming with the delightful feeling of taking someone's life. My heart palpitated beneath my sternum as adrenaline flooded my system; a sensation one never forgets and is steadier harder to obtain. Hurting people used to be fine, but once I'd become the business head after my father's... demise, I'd developed more interesting tastes. Pun intended.
As the consciousness dulled from my victim's eyes and they gleamed over with the sight of the afterlife, I briefly entertained the thought of turning them and then chaining them down in a glass house, awaiting the sun's rise, to film and watch later. A shiver of excitement ran over me, as I began to plan the defilement, but I was disappointed to realise I had scheduled an appointment later on tonight and that the two items conflicted. With a breathless sigh, I licked the blood from my fangs, savouring the sweetness as it danced on my tongue and sang saccharine melodies of a life badly lived, of a life of sin. I shuddered, unable to repress my satisfaction. Life was such a precious thing and I hated to waste it so, however, business before pleasure as father used to say.
My thoughts turned to my recently departed parent, Dear Daddy, such a nice man. The sarcastic thought turned my lip up into a sneer and I couldn't help but warmly remember his death. It was so brilliant, so dramatic. Every murder since had almost paled in comparison. Perhaps it was our supposed father-son "bond". Maybe that was the key. A relationship I could betray. A heart I could break. Oh, so many opportunities to hurt those with weaknesses.
As I entertained these thoughts, I casually unrobed, the dirtied tuxedo jacket falling to the floor and I felt the warm night air on my arms. My fingers played over the buttons of the undershirt, slowly undoing them. When they were all unbuttoned, I shrugged it from my shoulders and let it fall. The lights above flickered once, twice, flashing through the room, illuminating my pale skin with a sheen that I vastly enjoyed.
Letting my hands drop to my pants, I undid them and let them slide down, then I stepped from them. The scent of death lingered in the air and I breathed it in with gusto. Murder was my meal, the blood merely nutrients. Slipping my fingers between my briefs and my skin, and then spreading my fingers apart, the underwear fell off me.
Naked, I lingered momentarily on the scene, adoring my work and the delectable death that hovered in the room. I didn't want to leave, but business called. And when business called, I always answered with a smile.
Business promised more dirty dealings. Dirty dealings promised risk. Risk promised injuries. And injuries promised death.
I loved my life... or rather... my afterlife.
I left the dead body in the middle of my room and showered, slowly losing the flavour of lost life. By the time I was finished, my maid had cleaned my rooms and not a drop of blood could be seen. A new suit was laid out and I dressed, careful not to crease the beautiful tuxedo.
I grinned as I heard the neighbors below me complain loudly. I cranked my heavy metal music louder, then grabbed a bloodbag from the freezer. It was slightly expired, stolen from the blood drive at the hospital like all the other bags. Nobody ever missed blood that was already expired. I bit into the bag and slurped, cranking the music a few notches higher. Eventually, the bag was drained. I tossed it into the toxic waste bin. I would have to go outside sooner or later- I was out of art supplies, napkins, and I needed new bars for my eyebrow piercing. The day didn't seem to ne too bright. I sighed, grabbed my leather jacket, and switched off the music as I headed outside into the crowd of the town.
Sickening sights of pink and red met me in Fortuna city. I had completely forgotten the day was Valentine's. Blegh. Just what I needed- some stupid day to remind me that no guy wanted to spend their life with me. Remind me how much of an outcast I was, before and after the transformation. Fracking lovely.

Walking through the streets of Fortuna with all the love in the air was irritating to Drayden. Not that he despised love, it just made him rather uncomfortable, especially since he had no one to spend it with. He wasn't the one to attract ladies. Not that he wanted to anyway, it was too awkward. Back hunched, feet dragging slightly, he walked down the street with he awkward gait. One foot was injured during his travels and it was dragging a little more than usual. He glanced around and focused on one group, a handful of teenagers were laughing and telling joked, until they passed him. They cast nervous glances at him and scurried past him before resuming their laughter. Figures he thought, typical teenagers. Even though he was a teenager, and a rather unusual one, his birthday was today. He was 20, not that it mattered to him. To him, time was just a way to make sure you got were you needed to be on time. Happy 20th birthday to me he muttered, and continued walking aimlessly down the cobblestone streets.

I wonder if people felt the freedom in our culture to love louder, if they'd be quicker to say "I miss you" when the absence of someone is felt instead of just thinking it. — soundofmind
