Renn Ariyal

"So much for keeping a low profile." Renn thought, his heart sinking as he caught sight of the adults. First he had blown his mother's advice to keep his shapeshifting secret, and already he could see some of his so called classmates casting sidelong glances at him. The HERO's with a hint of wonder and the HIVE's with greed.

Worse Renn knew what was coming next and his suspicions were confirmed as he turned to face the adults. He had no idea who the hero glancing around the auditorium was. The guy looked like a good ol' boy with a white shirt and battered jeans. But the villain was another story. He wore a long black trench coat and a smooth mask over his face that seemed to be made of black glass. His prescence seemed to suck up the light around him. It was where he had gotten his code-name, Abyss. A man that all the students, both HERO and HIVE, knew to fear. Though they probably never expected him to show up at the school, least of all on the first day. Renn just called him Dad though.

"Renn, come here." It was an order, not a request.

He squared his shoulders and stepped forward, tossing one last glare at the HERO boys who had gone after him. "Yes, father." That one statement sent shockwaves through the school, but Renn ignored it.

"Explain what happened here." Abss ordered, taking in the chaos. The auditorium was going to need repairs, again.

Renn considered laying all the blame on the HERO's and then shrugged. It wasn't his job to protect his school mates. Let them defend their own actions. "One of the HERO students decided to take a walk on our side of the gymnasium. That girl over there." He pointed at the first instigator who immidietly turned pasty white. "Stopped her on the way back and one thing led to another."

*Renn could use some backup here. Just cause he's the guys son doesn't mean Abyss won't do something nast. That guy's scary.*

*You ask for back-up? Well here comes the dragon.*
Nemesis Crystalheart~~~~~~~~~HERO

As always when fights start, Nemesis watched each side from a safe distance. Abyss and Renn jumped when Nemesis said lowly, "Pity. Both sides are evenly matched opponents. All they'll do is wear themselves out like running children."
Abyss stated, "The long-haired one speaks at last."
Nemesis ignored Abyss and went to the HERO side of the auditorium. He got a lot of stares at him, but he didn't mind. He took some pebbles from his pocket and made them fly around in spirals before his eyes. None of the HERO's knew he was also a shape-shifter, just some telekinetic vampire-like person with eyes like blood. He sat there with a straight face on. Being called a vampire was one of the few things he's been called growing up, but he didn't mind.

Circe:

Stupid boy. She smiled pleasantly at the boy and his father, assessing their slightly... dysfunctional relationship.

"It's my first year here Sir, I did not know peaceful integration between the schools was not allowed. I wasn't trying to start any trouble, I was just simply curious of this little red unicorn." She met his eyes boldly. "Your son no? He does not really resemble you in the least. He's endearing though." She spoke, playing on each of their insecurities.

The boy glared at her and made a move to attack.

"Hush now Renn. Let's not disappoint Daddy even more than usual." She whispered, projecting her voice into his ears only.

Circe remained tense, knowing not to stretch the limits.

"Yes, it wasn't her fault at all. She wasn't even trying to start a fight, it was that girl," Indicating to the violet eyed girl, "And your son who really dealt the first blow."

Abyss, Circe thought his name was drippingly melodramatic, narrowed his eyes.

Charlotte Drakes: HERO

Char half smiled at how well Circe handled the situation with the little red unicorn and his father, but she was still tense. Abyss’ whole outfit was like a black hole, sucking in anything around. It unnerved her the way that he bored a silent message across the room and to his son. She didn’t get the feeling that they would be having a nice family dinner after this was over.
“This might be your first year as a student here, Renn, but you should know better.” He growled, then turned to the other H.I.V.E students. “You all should know better.”
Char’s fellow heroes filed into the bleachers again, sensing that their headmaster’s speech wouldn’t be any better. She sat beside Circe, that Danny boy on the other side. A very tan boy took Char’s left and a punk girl sat below him. Char rolled her eyes at the company and focused back on the villains, who were following suit.

*Er... you can't see Abyss' eyes, the mask entirely obscures his face.*

Renn Ariyal:

Renn braced himself for the coming explosion once they all took their seats, glaring daggers at the girls retreating back. But they were all surprised when his father threw his head back and laughed. His mirth faded to faint chuckles. "Actually I'm quite proud of my son's swift actions. Renn simply proved that he has my blood as well as his mothers, nothing more. He aquitted himself quite well." Despite his apperant mirth there was still an edge of menace in Abyss' voice.

The blonde hero beside him, who must be an instructor, spoke at last shaking his head with a wry grin. "And that concludes the opening ceremonies."

The students faces twisted in confusion. "What do you mean?" One of the boy HERO's demanded to know.

"The fight was permitted Mr. Mathews. Every year we allow the students to fight each other. It helps us guage their potential in a real combat situation. Now, you're all free for the rest of the morning. The joint tactictal-education class does not start until after lunch.

[b]Jerica HIVE/b]

Of course. The fight was just some opening ceremony hoax. I couldn't say I was suprised. We are, after all, very cunning.

I decided I was going to investigate the island. We had a day off so why not. The students filtered out of the gymnasium. I left on the HERO side. I exited without a problem, but when I followed them even farther on their side of the island I gained suspicious looks.

I covered myself with a layer of water. All of their odd looks vanished, as their water blindness from me set in.

I was bored and I decided to play some tricks. I saw the boy Paul had attempted to strangle earlier. My water would only cover me, but it would give people the faint sense that something is watching them.

I followed him.

Today would be fun.

Danny Dapperly

I strolled upon the islands path taking a careful inventory of everything plenty of trees to climb, at least I would be able to stay in shape. I still felt slightly disconcerted from the fight that morning the snake had done some damage but the girl had asked him to stop. She probably assumed I hadn't heard but she had shown me mercy. I could have escaped and was making the moves to before she had made her snake stop. As I walked I could feel a presence near by, I briefly thought cameras to monitor activity before realizing it was something different. I decided to call out to who ever was there, "I can tell you enjoy your privacy as do I my own. So I advise you to reveal yourself before it appears as though a tornado has ripped through the area." I paused waiting for a response, it didn't come as quickly as I wished so I continued speaking. "Fine if you do not believe me than continue to follow me though if you've taken interest in me I'd rather we simply talk." I turned my back from where I realized my spy was hiding and continued on my way.

Danny began to look over his shoulder the girl's powers were fascinating to him. She had manipulated water to create a type of shroud for herself. Danny's powers were beginning to bother him a little though he had originally named them osmosis , he seemed to be able to absorb knowledge and abilities simply by watching. But, since arriving on the island and seeing other people with powers he had gained what seemed like a new ability he could understand others powers. The girl was the same one from earlier during the fight, the one with the snake. My whole body seemed to shake a mixture of anxiety and anticipation. She had to know by now that I could see her it was a matter of her responding.

Jerica- HIVE

"I was wondering when you'd notice." I took of my camoflauge. The boy had been growing suspicious. I didn't think that he would learn so quickly. Though, that was his power.

"Why have you been following me all day when you know that you are our adversaries?," he didn't ask this accusingly, but calculatingly. Facing me he cocked his head slightly to the left.

I walked forward a few steps, playing with the black ring on my middle finger. "The people at HIVE are... simple. The only thing they know is evil, and their humour is rather rudimentary."

Danny leaned up against the tree. "So, even though we are supposed to be opposites, you would still rather be here?"

"Yup. I wasn't even supposed to be in HIVE." He looked at Paul, who had been quietly hissing at him.

He snickered. "You almost killed me and Circe."

I picked some strange fruit off of the trees. I began to juggle them. He watched me for a minute. Juggling has always been something I'd done to destress. This kid had a weird effect on me.

I tossed them to him and he picked it up quickly. As I watched, water came around me.

"Goodbye," I said airily, leaving him to his fruit. Night was falling and I didn't feel like breaking curfew. I didn't know why, but I would not sleep tonight.

Danny Dapperly

Danny watched as she walked away and nearly let the fruit drop to the ground, he suddenly remembered something as she walked away, "I'm Danny Dapperly what's your name?" She stopped briefly and looked over her shoulder.

She gave Danny a slight half smile, "It's Jerica Incarceron, try and not forget. Maybe we'll see each other again."

Danny watched her as she walked off feeling rather dumbstruck. Jerica just that morning had attempted to kill him, or at least her snake had, and know he was unsure of his feelings. He briefly thought to himself, that even if she had attempted to kill him she was very pretty, and she felt as though she didn't belong in HIVE. Danny needed to distract himself he looked at the unusual fruit she had picked it looked like what would happen if an apple and pomegranate cross-bred. He took a bite of it not caring for the risk of whether it was poisonous or not he couldn't care less. The juice of the fruit filled his mouth and shot out of the corner of his mouth it was delicious. At least Jerica hadn't seen that embarrassing moment. Danny whistled as he at the fruit and walked to his dorm he had yet to meet his roommate so this would be interesting. He whistled between bites a rhythm-less song to him self.

Tony Matthews:

Tony waited in the all-white dormitory. It was empty when he left the assembly and he assumed his roommate was soon to be making his first appearance. Looking towards the window, he discovered a beautiful view to the one place he wanted to be, the sparkling ocean beneath the dimming sky. He felt cold for the first time since he’d left home.
A door opened behind him and he spun around, caught off guard. He insecurely brought his arms across his chest, his eyes setting on a lonely, brown-haired boy who was standing in the doorway.
“I guess I’m your roommate.” He said, closing the door behind him.
Tony just nodded, hesitating before turning back to the window. He contemplated jumping out and continuing his meaningless pattern of no sleep while he swam until memories of Key West were his only thoughts.
“I’m Tony.” He decided to try to make friends.
“Danny Dapperly.” The stranger responded.

I've never seen a quadruple post before.

Jerica HIVE

I walked away calmly, but my heart was pounding, I think I'd gotten some major adrenaline while talking to him. I tried to think about what could possibly be wrong with me.

I thought about it for a while when I settled on us being mortal enemies, so I was preparing to fight. As I walked into my room I didn't feel like that was the answer. Thankfully I could ponder over this all night.

Apparently HIVE had an uneven amount of students, so I got my own full size room to myself. I had a view of HERO, with its last minute fliers circling the building one last time before they went to bed. I checked the clock in my all white room. 10:30.

Curfew had started 30 minutes ago. From my top floor room I could see everything. I got the sudden urge to go explore. I opened my window and sat on the ledge, not fearing for my safety but my sanity. I stream of water reached out from the ocean and carried me down to the land.

At the moment I wasn't worried about getting caught, so I didn't bother to cover myself in water. It was pretty uncomfortable anyway, and it was hard to breathe.

I decided to work on seeing if I could do anything but make tunnels. After trying to pick up some boulders on the shore and failing miserably, I started smaller. I focused on picking up one grain of sand at a time with my mind. It was how I trained myself to work with water and create tunnels in the ground. I'd come to the conclusion that I could control all four elements, but I was still working on that.

After I could pick up them with ease I started with plain rocks, but while I was attempting to control them I ended up picking up a circular chunk of the ground twenty feet in diameter.

Holy crap.

"Impressive," someone said behind me.

If anyone wants to respond that's fine. I don't care.
