H.E.R.O. and H.I.V.E.

plot: For centuries two schools have maintained a massive rivalry. So much so that their graduates continue to compete with each other for the rest of their lives. And it doesn't help that the schools are forced to share living space, located on a small cluster of unmapped islands in the south Pacific. The schools range from kindergarden to university and they are the most prestigious schools on earth.

However these schools are not normal, they are the furthest thing from it. At these schools you learn how to skydive, defuse bombs, and pick locks. There's a booby trapped underground maze that the students are expected to navigate with ease.

They are H.E.R.O. the Higher Educational Rescue Organization and
H.I.V.E. the Higher Institute of Villainous Education.

Simply put one school trains superheroes and the other trains supervillains. You are new students at one or the other of the schools. Take the plot where ever you want it to go. Have fun with it.

Name- Ei (Pronounced 'I') Chase

Age- 17

Appearance- Ei has long wavy red hair that fall to about mid back. She's 5"6 and has dark blue eyes, the color of indigo. She has a birthmark int he shape of a heart beneath the corner of her left eye. On the small of her back she has a hummingbird tattoo in memory of her mother who loved birds.

History- Ei was born in a small cabin through the woods in Canada. She lived with her mother, who had an extreme love for nature and, in particular, birds. Her father came around sometimes but was gone for the majority of her childhood, she did not have a bad relationship with her father, he just was not around much. Ei learned to care for the earth at a very young age, learned the balance of nature and things of that sort. She was so immersed in her little world of animals that she thought herself, her mother, and her father to be strange creatures that were invading the animals' world. She thought they were the aliens.

One day her father stopped coming home, stopped sending money to the little cabin. They didn't have phones so they couldn't contact them. He just vanished from the face of the earth and the food was running out. Ei's mom had to venture out into the world she closed herself off from to get a job and get them some money. Mary, Ei's mom, left the woods to go and book a plane ticket to America where they would live with Mary's mother for a while until Mary had a job and a home.

Ei saw her first human outside of her family at the age of ten. She was scared and afraid because they were everywhere. Mary told her to not be afraid, and explained that these other things were just their species, just a different type of animal.

Ei discovered her powers at the age of eleven when she was walking to a corner store to grab a few things for her grandmother while her mom was away. On the way to the store she was surrounded by a gang of men. She just smiled and waved, saying hello politely just as she would when animals approached her back in Canada. She was still very new to the world and the men could sense this. They were polite to her and soon asked her if she would like them to show her something. When she agreed they tried to rape her. Ei didn't know what was happening but she knew it was wrong and she tried to fight them off but she felt as if there just wasn't enough of her. She keep trying until suddenly there were two more of herself surrounding her and helping to fight off the men. The men were so freaked out they ran away and all three of Ei ran back home.

It was that day also that Ei came to hate her species, from then on she started to see humans as vile creatures and was entirely disgusted by them. Once he got a full understanding of her powers she started to kill off all the people she caught doing wrong, especially if it was a crime aginst nature.

Ei's killing was justified until humans killed her mother. It was then that Ei snapped and started killing just because she could and because it was fun. She accidentally killed her grandmother in one of her rages and was homeless, this was at the age of fifteen. When she was on the streets a man stopped in front of her and Ei was instantly on defense until she realized it was her father. He told her that he knew about her powers and left because he too discovered he had powers. He went away to learn about his family and realized that his side of the family had a history of special abilities. He told her that he'd been watching her and knew of everything she'd done. He enrolled her in HIVE because he knew she would learn there.

(Oh my, I don't know what happened to me there. This is just... I'm so sorry. This is so long. Oh my God... Basically she lived in seclusion in Canada, went to America, nearly got raped, discovered her powers, gained a hatred for humans, started killing bad people, her mother died, started killing everyone, killed her grandmother, was found on the street by her dad, dad enrolled her into the school.)

Personality: She doesn't seem cold or mean at first glance. She's always smiling and laughing, just at the wrong things. She has a deep hatred for humanity and will say "I hate you" with the widest smile in the world. Ei's not shy about announcing her hatred for humans and will often kill or fight with other people just because she can. She hates when others think she's weak and is quick to prove herself. Ei is a strong fighter and you will gain respect from her by either beating her or showing you hate humans as much as she does.

Ei will never forgive someone who hurts nature or animals.

Powers- Body Duplication

Abilities- She is pretty much completely in tune with nature, all animals love her, she loves all animals, and she doesn't just have a green thumb, she has a green hand. She makes her own poison.

She can climb anything.

Other- She keeps all types of pets in her dorm room. She also carries two knives strapped to her thighs at all times and a vial of her homemade poison.

She's not really book smart.

Name- Renn Ariyal
Age- 17
Gender- male
School- Hive student

Appearance- Renn is tall and slender with pale skin. He has crimson hair and eyes and the tattoo of a stylized dragon on his right arm. He is never seen without his trademark pendant which he wears at all times.

Personality- Renn is intense to say the least. Hotheaded, prideful and arrogant with a reckless disregard for danger. His more animalistic side means that he has a tendency to trust his gut too much. Still Renn is highly intelligent and rarely loses his head under pressure.

More will be revealed with time.

History- Renn's father is one of the most infamous villains of all time, if not the most infamous, despite the fact that no one knows his identity or appearance. He merely goes by the code-name Abyss. As for his mother, well Renn's mother was not human. She was a Weir, a race of extradimensional shapeshifters, and she was a pretty special Weir too. She was one of the last Unicorns.

As a half-Weir, Renn was raised in their dimension but he just didn't fit in. Half-Weir's are highly unstable and meant to be aborted immidiately or killed on sight. Due to the fact that humans have hunted Weir almost since the dawn of time. When Renn reached puberty and shifted for the first time his human blood became obvious, since all unicorns are supposed to be white and he was red, he also had wings when he shouldn't.

In an effort to protect Renn his mother did the last thing she could. She sent him to his father who immidiately enrolled him in HIVE. Renn is of course miserable in the human world and spends much of his time in beast form so he needs a friend.

Powers- Control over the elements. Renn can control seven different elements, each representing one of the seven deadly sins. As a child he could control them all but his mother sealed his powers away leaving him with only the ability to control Fire. And the truth is that Renn has no memory of when he could control the others.

He also has the typical powers of a unicorn, although these are more innate abilities than true powers. His horn has the power to purify toxins from water, earth, and air, it can detect poisons and heal wounds. He cannot be caged, locks just open for him, and his blood if drunk has the power to bestow long life or even immortality.

Abilities- Very athletic and a skilled marshal artist. Renn has a total eidetic memory meaning he remembers everything he has ever seen, heard, touched, smelled, or tasted.

Other- Here's a picture of Renn's unicorn form. Renn's beast form is very young, little more then a month or so old. Thus it is still fairly vulnerable.

Name- Circe Vivaldi

She holds herself very rigidly and, she rarely smiles. She emanates lots of energy, but it's a cold energy that seems to freeze the air around her. She dresses only in light, flowing clothing, most often white and gives the impression of being very delicate but extremely sharp and icy. She's about 5'6'' and had a dancers build that is usually poised in a tense manner.

Personality- Circe is cold, stony and extremely intimidating. Though she is not aggressive, per se, she seems absolutely devoid of any human emotion at all. She gets the job done, but under her own terms, and without any emotional attachment whatsoever. Her face does not seem as if it has portrayed any feeling since she was born. She speaks distantly but assertively and and extremely formally. She is only really an ally of convenience, as she does not exert effort into becoming friends with any of the other heroes. She is not mean, and does not hurt people for no reason at all, but her closed nature and almost deathly solemn outlook make her someone most people avoid. She is clever though, and will not hesitate to manipulate people and situations to her advantage. She chooses justice over mercy. Also, though she can feel nothing, she is very human in the way that she is very unsure of herself.

History- She appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, at the gates of the HERO school. Before this she thought that she lived in a dream, as all she can remember are voices, music, and searing white light. In this world she said that she felt happy, secure and full of life, but upon leaving it she became desensitised and couldn't feel anything at all; joy, pain, sorrow, anger... She says that she left this world because another was calling. Between HERO and HIVE she really falls into the grey area as she has her own morals and her own ideas of perfect justice. She seems broken in some way and exceedingly lonely, though she doesn't portray this in her appearance. There is definitely more to her than meets the eye, the only problem is, none of it is clear, even to her. She does not like how she has to remain in HERO and follow that path her entire life.

Powers- Circe can manipulate energy, in all of its forms. She can sap the very life out of one being and convert it into a thermobaric explosive. All she needs for her powers to work is a ready source of energy: kinetic, heat, nuclear, electric, chemical and even potential. This gives her a variety of options as to how she uses it.

Abilities- She is extremely creative, imaginative, and tough. She also seems to have a different type of understanding that allows to understand what others are feeling even though she herself can feel nothing.

Name- Danny Dapperly
Age-18
Gender- Male
School- HERO
Appearance- Roughly 6' 2" with chestnut colored hair combed back and worn above his ears. He has a very lonely looking face which draws people in, his eyes are set deep in his face but his eyes are stunning to look at with brown around the iris green around the brown and yellow flecks around the edges. He has decent muscular tone but does not appear very buff. He wears mostly grays, blacks or white. The only colors in his wardrobe aside from that appear to be green, yellow, and blue.

History- Danny was born in a small town in Alabama. His parents were loving and nurturing. The older brother much was expected of him. To protect and teach his brother and put the Dapperly name on the map. As he grew he developed skills as an inventor creating his own robot and heat tracking goggles as well as several other devices. What he truly loved though was performance, unfortunately though regardless of his love of singing his powers carried him in a different direction.

One day at school he was being bullied unsure of what to do his body instinctively copied a fighting stance Danny's character had used with his video game character the previous night. Before he was sure of what was going on Danny tracked the bully's motions and was able to counter them knocking the bully on his butt.

It inspired him to begin experimenting with his powers. He began to watch movies about mixed martial arts and focusing more on certain movements of his game characters mixing up several different games for the widest range of mastery. Soon he could run up walls shoot the wings off a gnat from a hundred yards away and pin a fly to a tree and remove the arrow to let it free. Soon people took notice HERO Academy to be precise and soon he was enrolled.

Personality- Danny is kind-natured but more against his will than because he wishes to be. He is a member of HERO more for a lack of willingness to do truly great acts of evil rather than because he is is inherently good. He tends to be non-confrontational but when someone strikes him first he holds back nothing. He is often thought of as a book worm studying wide ranging topics and sometimes is considered an enigma randomly disappearing and appearing. He always seems to have a smirk that seems to be saying "I know something you don't know."

Powers- Osmosis- can learn anything just by watching. Air gliding- can focus air underneath him to solidify allowing him to travel through the air for extended distances while jumping. (Also has the ability to mimic others powers to a certain extent but has yet to meet anyone with powers aside from himself)

Abilities- He is extremely clever more than he is very smart. He is particularly gifted with machinery. All of his other abilities were primarily developed through his powers

Other- Danny normally creates his own gadgets rather than use what HERO may provide. He also doesn't enjoy the rivalry between the two schools and acts as a peace maker more than a participant. He still protects fellow HERO Students but only if HIVE instigates.

Name- Charlotte "Char" Drakes
Age- 16
Gender- Female
School- HERO
Appearance- Charlotte has long chestnut brown hair and grey eyes. She's about 5'7 and femininely built though she has a bit of muscle tone in her arms and legs. She is always seen wearing her charcoal jacket over a white t-shirt and darkwash skinny jeans with black combat boots.

History- Charlotte is an orphan. Born in rural Alaska, her family was forced to give her up due to her village's legends. They believed that any child born with grey eyes was cursed and to be banished due to folk tales of the first male born being able to summon a pack of wolves that destroyed all life in a neighboring village. Due to this tale, Charlotte was found in the middle of a forest by a touristic couple who took her in. They spoiled her the first ten years but then became bankrupt. To escape the horrors of poverty one day, she ran into the forest in the back of her house only to find that sometime between leaving the back porch and hitting the thick of the woods she had transformed into a grey wolf with tints of tan, red, and black coloring in her fur. After realizing what she truly was, she did not return home, roaming the earth. HERO found her after learning of rumors of wolf attacks high in the Appalachian Mountains.
Personality- She is playful around those close to her but never fully smiles. To those who don't know her, she is mysterious and peculiar. She has true leadership qualities but is very independent, not liking having to share any assignment with another student. She acts on impulse.
Powers- Shape shifting
Abilities- She is unnaturally fast and can go longer without food and water than the other students. She is strong and good at strategy, though rarely uses it.
Other- She often leaves campus to spend time alone in the forest along the mountain but never crosses into HIVE territory. She loves combat but loves teasing the enemy even more. Charlotte won't fight unless provoked.

Name- Anthony "Tony" Matthews.
Age- 17
Gender- Male
School- HERO
Appearance- Tony has bleached blonde hair, which is naturally black, and emerald-like green eyes. He is 6'2 with a bronze complexion and a muscular tone though he doesn't appear to be buff. He is always seen wearing sleeveless tank tops, sandals, and cargo shorts despite the weather.

History- Tony was born in Key West, Florida and was raised to love the water. Around 12, he lost his mother to a shark attack while she was surfing. His father closed the family owned surf shop and sent Tony and his little sister to live with his aunt in Kansas. Tony grew a hatred for dusty Kansas and decided to run away one day, leaving his sister where she belonged. He was hitchhiking when he realized that he was disappearing right before his eyes. A flash blinded him and he all of a sudden felt like he was falling. When his vision returned, he crashed into salty water. He surfaced and discovered that he was in Key West again, swimming before the shop. He dove underwater to swim to shore and found that he wasn't in need of air like he should of been. Pushing away the weird, he walked straight up to the shop to find that it was rusted and empty. He climbed the steps to the apartment above and found it was just as empty. His father had vanished and left behind no trail. HERO found him on the island one day, swimming in the clear water.
Personality- Tony is loud and full of himself. But those who know him find that he is truly kind and caring. He can't stand doing anything alone and loves spending time with his friends, but dislikes any of the adults on the island.
Powers- Teleportation and control over water.
Abilities- He is strong and decisive, able to come up with a plan in a matter of seconds.
Other- Tony is often found by the beach, staring at the horizon as if waiting for something.

*Alright we've got enough people that we can start now. Just so everyone knows the one thing HERO and HIVE agree on is that the existence of the schools must remain secret. Thus new students are unaware of their enrollment until someone comes to pick them up. In the case of HIVE they're abducted.

We'll start this thing at the entrance ceremony which new students from both schools are required to attend. Also some of the more physical classes are joint classes between the two schools.

Name: Nemesis Crystalheart
Age: 19
School: HERO
Appearance: Nemesis has jet-black hair that's down to his knees and bloodred eyes. He's close to six feet in height, but has the build of an athelete. His hair's always in a braid- unhealthy habit, one might say- and he's never seen wearing anything but black. His skin is ghost-white pale, almost giving him the appearance of a vampire just by the skin tone and the color he wears.
History: Nemesis was jumped from foster home to foster home ever since he was three years old. He never lasted longer than three days in a foster home due to his skin tone and eye color. When he was ten, he was adopted by a librarian who didn't mind his skin tone or eye color. He found out that he can tranform into a dragon when he was eleven, but never had the heart to tell that to his adoptive mother. On the eve of his twelfth birthday, he once moved a book without even touching it. Once he turned sixteen, he ran away from his adoptive mother's house in fear that she would give him up if she knew of his powers. HERO found him after hearing rumors of objects floating around a red-eyed person in Montana.
Personality: He's your typical loner by social status. He rarely speaks to anyone since he never fully developed the concept of friendship. He has the fury of a dragon, of which clouds his judgement at times. If you get to know him better, you might find that he's intelligent under the quiet exterior.
Powers: Shape-shifting and telekinesis.
Abilities: He's very good at solving certain puzzles and can last a very long time without sleep. The latter is because he can't sleep at all. He's a bit sly when in battle, but could give out a warning if it was worth the shot. He's a little more strategic than he looks, but can be unpredictable when he starts his telekinetic power.
Other: He often studies his opponent before he strikes. This way, he'll know what he's up against. If the battle's in a certain place that he's familiar with, he'll use the environment to his advantage without a moment's hesitation.

Name- Jerica Incarceron

Gender- Female

Appearance- (A description and picture if possible) Picture at bottom. Jerica is slim and has light blue eyes, pale skin and dark curly hair.
History- Jerica grew up poor and was adopted by the rich. Her adopted family thought her powers should be used for good and originally sent her to HERO, but Jerica's paperwork got confused and she was placed in HIVE. Although she seems evil, since she was originally good, she could be converted to someone good.
Personality- Jerica is very manipulative and cunning. She will do whatever it takes to protect the ones she loves and is often very over protective, though she would never admit to it, or to loving anyone, because that would show weakness. It is difficult to get on her good side and she is very paranoid and does not easily trust.
Powers- (any paranormal or supernatural powers you possess) Jerica can manipulate water, turning it into many forms and using it to confuse people, like snow blindness. She has the ability to control the other elements, (earth, air, and fire) but she is learing very slowly.
Abilities- Jerica is cunning and has abnormally fast reactions, but not to the point of being supernatural. She is not very strong at all, but can use other people's force against them.
Other- Jerica has a pet cobra that she often wears as a scarf.
