I stabbed the last man in the heart and watched as one ran out of sight.
It was the first time I had felt so tired from fighting. i had several cuts and I even got stabbed by an arrow in the leg. I lit my hands with flaming water and put it to my wounds. Not a spell i used very often, but it worked, for the most part. I still had a very large scar, but that was okay.
I turned and saw that a few other people were still fighting, but Kyler was gone. I saw a small breakage in the leaves of the forest, right underneath a large and still growing thunderstorm, and followed that path, supposing that he had gone that way, to find him sitting before a halfling, of all people! It was a young man with black wings, causing the storm and very happy. What interested Aritha most, though, was the pack on his shoulder. She got a bad feeling about it, about what it was holding. The Voice in her mind seemed to be reaching for it, but at the same time cowering from it's presence. What could a halfling have that would make the Voice cower in fear?
I ran up to Kyler and put him on his feet. "What are you doing so close to him? Don't you realize that he's going to kill you?" I didn't mean intentionally, but it seemed as if this halfling was just letting his powers flow, which was dangerous.

*Rhyder's actually very controlled he's only striking out at the soldiers. Granted the rest might get a little wet, okay soaked but a that's all.*

Rhyder:

The fighting was starting to die off as the soldiers noticed the growing storm. The surviving guards realised that Rhyder was free and most of them had been killed by this strangely powerful group of travelers. They began to retreat and Rhyder gradually eased up on his vicegrip over the storm. The newborn storm began to move away from him gathering strength as it moved across the sky.

As an after thought Rhyder used magic to anchor it to the remaining soldiers. It would take them several wet and miserable days to realize that the storm was following them. Rhyder grinned at the thought. Really he didn't get why everyone else hated thunderstorms, Rhyder loved them. They thrummed through him, singing with the pulse of his life's blood.

Itaeo Haruon:

"What do I do?" Rosalie shouted at me, what should she do? Didn't she have any idea at all?!

Just then the sky opened and a torrential downpour added to the confusion and din of the fight. I blinked rain water out of my eyes and pushed Rosalie behind me as a thunderclap shook the air.

"Stay behind me!" between the flashes of lightening and the fire from both Hector and Kylar The shadows that danced wildly were confusing many of us. A soldier took advantage of my momentary distraction and attacked. As I defended I made sure to keep Rosalie out of harms way, which caused me to get several deep stab wounds in my sides. In dry weather it would not have worried me, but I can loose consciousness due to blood loss and the rain was keeping any scabs from forming. In a momentary lull I leaned against a tree wheezing- a stitch had formed in my injured side.I was just about to heal myself when Rosalie put her own hands to my wounds.

"Can I heal you of these without danger?" she almost whispered. I nodded, these wounds were not hard to heal. She smiled and then I felt her magic. It was cool, soothing, and very much like water.

(Hope this is alright Gleek. Not sure if Rosalie knows how to use rainwater. ***heading off to bed.)

After the reaper threw a rock at me, I sat back, considering the weak and strong spots of the group.
Finally, the reaper noticed the surrounding enemies, but instead of reversing the element of surprise- he started yelling at them! Further more, he yelled at them, our numbers and qualities, what kind of a dumb tactic is that?!
I was still in my annoying Fae shape when the fight began, They never expected the horrors I brought upon them.
(Kind of very graphic violence, if it bothers you, do stop reading here.)
A foolish solider raised his sword, aiming to strike me, I, however, aimed my hand to his chest so fast he never managed to strike. as my hand was stuck inside of his chest- I grabbed his spine and pulled it out from his chest, setting an explosion of blood, I then turned, swinging my macabre weapon, which shattered on impact. The face of the solider struck were surprised, and remained so as his entire head fell, his throat pumping a blood stream up to the sky.
I leaped, landing behind another. as he turned around I grabbed his shoulders- and pulled to opposite directions, tearing him like a piece of paper. I quickly dodged the strike of the one that was behind him, then pulled his arm, tearing it from the body, and using it to break his head.
I then moved away, to my next victim. I teared his stomach, and shoved his head inside, enjoying the sound of his back snaps, I threw another one up, to something like 7 meters, and squeezed someones head until his brain streamed out of his ears. I continued on my way, killing brutally many enemies, and that was me playing nice.

Suddenly, a rain started, I knew this was no normal rain, I could have sense the so familiar, so hated magic. I disliked faes, and was annoyed by griffons, but there was only one race I truly hated- Skylords, bringers of the blight.
I was about to take to the sky and challenge the cursed thing, when suddenly I noticed Itaeo and Rosalie, he just killed another enemy, but he was tired and wounded, and she seemed uncertain what to do, enemies gathered like a pack of wolves around them.
They may still hate me, but they never knew what happened in the shadows around them.

(Wow, this story is really good. I feel like I'm ruining it by jumping in! Hope I can add to it's awesomeness. And another question, should I write in first or third person?)

Felicia
She hid behind the bushes, watching the fight develop. The group was amazing, really good. She couldn't believe how they could just use their powers like that. She had been watching for a while, but never had she seen them like this.

Was now a good time to jump in? To join their fight? Maybe she should wait a couple days, let them get farther along in their journey. She'd just end up putting them in danger anyway. She couldn't even trust herself anymore. Bad things were happening and she was one of the reasons why.

She moved silently and undetected through the bushes to get a better view of the battle. It raged on and then a storm rolled through. The rain pelted her head, flattening her hair against her face. The lighting flashes only made the fight look worse. She was about to join in when she realized they had everything under control. Well, they seemed to be doing okay without her. She would no doubt just make it worse if she joined.

A couple more hours of waiting. A few more hours of watching, then she'd reveal herself.

(Noelle- Welcome! I'm glad you like our story and I can't wait to see what you bring! Also, as to what person to write in- I think first person is easier, because if one writers thinks they know something about another character, and that turns about to be wrong it could be difficult to fix in third person. While if your writing in first person it is just your characters opinion and not set in stone. Hope that made sense. :D)

Itaeo Haruon:

Funny things about fights that I will never understand is how they begin and end. One moment nothing, then the next all hell breaks loose, and in another breath it is peaceful.
And that is what this fight was like, except I was unable to help end it because of my wounds.

I'm not really a battle field Death Magician. My sisters one for that, scares the crap out of me that one. She gets a blood lust that I have only begun to understand thanks to the mirror. Not to say I'm an incompetent fighter, I am fully competent. It's just I'm not as nimble as Halelia, my sister. She can skim about a stricken field without getting her skirt besmirched at all, while I'm always in for at least one, of what most mortals would call a death hurt.

While Rosalie had healed my wounds the fight ended. During the fight Hector stormed about like demon from the pit so brutal were his killings and Alekan was far more ferocious then any lion. Aritha I had only seen for an instant before she ran off after a fleeing soldier but the two lay dead in a heap showed that she was a fighter.

Hector came prowling out of the woods just as Rosalie was finished. His hands were wet and stained red and Alekan was calmly wiping his iron talon knives clean. Rosalie was trembling and here eyes were staring wide, I touched her arm and smiled reassuringly.

“It's over, it's alright.”

I looked around but nowhere could I see Kylar or Aritha. I closed my eyes and tried to locate their life forces, but with all the souls of these soldiers detached from their bodies and teeming round me, it made finding my friends near to impossible. I could see the souls shadowy shapes flitting about, like moths to a candle. Unfortunately I was their candle and they would not let me be.

“Alright, alright! You first then my friends.” I muttered, Hector and Alekan who were standing near gave me a strange look. “I'll be back in a second.” I said and faded fully away into my wraith form. In truth I was still there but in this form I look like a thin wisp of a dark storm cloud, and on this dark night I doubted if even Hector could easily see me.

Now I could see the souls of the dead ones clearly, they glided about like autumn leaves in a breeze. Surrounding me, pawing at me. All detached souls are drawn to reapers, we are their gate to the netherworld after all. It is only infrequently that we have to forcefully reap a soul out of it's body. I pulled out my twin scythe, for they too had a wraith form and I began to reap a new harvest for the netherworld.

(hope this is alright, wasn't sure how to get the story moving again. :) )

Sorry Blue I missed that. (Dyslexia strikes again!)
I changed it, so it is more ambiguous as to what shape he's in. He's just got hands now.
Sorry. :D

Rosalie Levia

I continued to stare at the dead bodies around me. I gulp. This was my first, how do I say it? Fight. Though I haven't really done anything other than heal Itaeo, and maybe cause other people to get hurt, the fight was definitely...gruesome. I didn't know how to handle it. I bite my lip when I kick a soldier, to check if he's alive or not.

I shake my head and look up. I suddenly notice that it's night. I turn to Hector and Alekan.

"We need to find everyone, and set a new campsite," I instructed.

Alekan

The fight had been short and fierce, but it was over. What wasn't clear was why the fight occurred. The attackers were soldiers, but their motive wasn't clear. Were they corrupt soldiers, looking to ambush some travelers? Were they on a mission? Or were we their mission?

"We need to find everyone and set a new campsite," Rosalie said. I looked over at Hector.

"Can you handle that?" I asked. He snorted in response.

"Good. In the meantime, I'll start searching these bodies. These soldiers came here for a reason; perhaps there is something here that will tell us why. Rosalie, would you like to help out?" I asked.

"No, I think I'll start breaking camp down. We shouldn't linger here any longer than we have to," she said urgently.

"Let me know if you change your mind," I replied. The look on her face told me that she didn't want to spend more time around the bodies than she had to.
