Rayden Thorn:
As my foggy mind slowly climbed out of the dark abyss I had fallen into, The first thing I became aware of was a searing pain in my chest- I couldn't breath.
I struggled to take a breath,- were my ribs all broken? What was wrong?! Panic's icy fingers slowly clawed over my heart, my primal instinct took control as I fought the darkness again. Suddenly I coughed, the strong sickly sweet ion taste of blood filled my mouth causing me to cough again.
Someone gently but quickly pushed me onto my side, my pain lessened, and once again my senses fled me.

When I came around for a second time I was no longer on my side but slightly propped up. I could hear a steady drumbeat but for the life of me I couldn't place it. Someone had their hands on my bare chest, cool sensations flowed into me from those hands. And the voices, that before were no more than indescribable mumbles, were easy to understand.
“Why is he so hot? Does he have a fever or something Dante?” I thought it was the leader of my sisters friends who then spoke- she had a nice voice, very gentle but strong. I was relieved to hear Dante speak then, he was at least alive.
“No he doesn't have a fever. He's a fire rouge, their body temperatures are always higher than normal.”
Just then whatever I had been propped up against moved slightly and a felt a breath, so I was leaning against someone and not a something.
“I think he's coming around Everlee, his breathing patterns have changed.” another voice said from directly above me, whoever I was leaning against I guessed.
I tried to open my eyes but was only able to crack one open. Everything was blurry for a moment before slowly coming into focus. Everlee- or at least I assumed it was her was slowly moving her hands from my sides to the center of my chest. Her ace was puckered into a frown, she hooked a lock of hair behind her ear.
“Well he isn't on deaths door anymore, hows Davnick Sheara?” she called, my eye roved over in the direction of the answering voice. It was that young girl I had seen with my sister in the city, so they had found her again, good.
“He's still asleep but Poca says he'll be fine, and Dante says Rayden didn't hit him as hard as he could of- so that's good... I guess.”
“Seena's doing fine now too, just resting.” a deep male voice rumbled and reverberated around.
“Alright, thanks Tige, I think I”ll take a look at her just in case.” Everlee sighed, her voice sounded tired and- defeated?
It was then that it hit me, I was had caused all of this trouble. It was my fault that Davnick, who was their friend for some deranged reason was in such bad shape. My fault that I had caused so much pain to my sister, she liked him. My fault that Everlee looked so cast down. As she stood up I made a grab at her arm. She gasped and looked down.
“I'm, sorry.” I panted “I'm sorry Everlee for-” I had to stop and gasp for breath “what I've done.”
I fit of coughing seized hold of me again and for a moment my mind was white hot with pain. When it subsided I spoke again, my voice barely a whisper.
“Don't tell my sister-” I coughed again and tasted blood, I spat to rid myself of the horrible metallic taste. “about this.”
Everlee looked down at me, I could see on her face she understood I meant the coughing. Her face softened into a look of pity and she nodded as she walked away.
I relaxed back slightly closing my eyes, concentrating on my breathing. Then I remembered that someone was still helping me. I opened my eye again and looked up, into another young woman's face. She had a cascade of dark brown hair that framed her downcast face as she watched me intently. Her eyes were that strange sea color that sometimes looked more gray-green than gray-blue.
She kept staring into my face with a strangely intent look, I really couldn't care, but the prolonged silence was getting uncomfortable.
“Hi.” I said closing my eye again...
(Hope this is alright with you Bee. hope I kept everyone in character!)
