Rogues and Pets vs. Dolls [closed/starting]

Jared:

"You serious? You have no Idea who Davnick Tarish is?" I asked increduloously. Skylar and Elise shook their heads. I sighed. "He's a rogue that turns in his own kind for money, and is pretty good at it."
They seem shocked for a moment, but then Elise said, "Then what's so wrong with her?"
I gave Tess and Everlee a look. "She might be the Invisible rogue. We aren't sure yet, but at any rate, if these two were fighting, then until we know what it was about, we should probably keep a close eye on them." I said. They didn't seem so shocked by this, and Everlee nodded in agreement.
"Good idea. I'm not so sure my ice cuffs can hold that one." Tess said and motioned her head over to Davnick.
"Okay. We should probably take turns keeping watch." Everlee suggested. "I'll go first." we all nodded and went to go set up tents and a fire. Elise soon had both completed, making tents out of roots and rock and sending stick flying out of the ground.
"Sweet." I said. "Hey Lee! Mind helping us out?" She nodded and came over. Putting a thin sheet of ice over the twig and sticks of wood, she shone a light through. The ice acted like a magnifying glass and voila! We had fire! Once done, Everlee went back to keeping watch and tess went off to hunt.

(Tell me if I didn't do your powers right, guys! )

Elise:

Once we finished setting up camp, I sat on a log which was near the fire. Skylar was keeping Everlee company. I smiled at the two. Skylar never really thought about girls since we ran away, until he met Everlee. I sighed. This is for his own good.

It's pretty hot tonight, Myrtle said in my mind. I shrugged.

So? I asked.

Take your cloak off Red Riding Hood, Myrtle answered. I laugh silently an followed her orders. Myrtle's right. It is super hot, especially with the fire. I dusted off my camisole, to make sure there weren't any dirt or leaves. I then thought of water. How are we going to survive without water? I stood up, causing Myrtle to fly for herself, and headed into the forest to search for a water source.

(Sorry I didn't post earlier! I was gone all day yesterday and have been pretty busy otherwise. )

Everlee

"Everlee," Skylar's voice speaks slowly. I blink my eyes open and close them again quickly in the morning light. I sit up from where my head was resting on Skylar's lap.

"Oh no," I say quietly. "I fell asleep, I'm so sorry."

Skylar shrugs. "It's okay."

"Did you stay up all night?" I ask.

Skylar nods.

"You shouldn't have," I say with a smile.

He shrugs. "You were tired."

I look over to the other rogues. Both are still unconscious. I stand up and walk over to Davnick and the Invisible Rogue.

"What are you doing?" Skylar asks getting up.

"It's time to wake up," I say as I gether together two balls of water in the air. "Morning," I whisper as I push the water to their faces.

Skylar:

I watched as Everlee woke the other rogues up. The rogues woke up startled at first, then they angrily tried to slip out of the ice cuffs. I smirked and look to the others. I tap on Everlee's shoulders and point to the others.

"I think they need some waking up," I suggested. Everlee smiled and slowly approached Elise first. Everlee gatered the water balls again an held it above her face. She looked at me with an "are you sure?" look. I nod.

Everlee smiled again and dropped the water balls on Elise's face. Instantly, Elise sat up, shaking her head. She shot Everlee a glare.

"What the heck?!" she snapped. I burst out laughing as the others woke up.

"See Everlee? Elise is so loud in the morning that you only need to wake her up to wake the others," I teased as I put an arm over Everlee.

Seena

I wake up to Elise yelling at Everlee and Skylar. I get up and run over to where the three of them are.

"What's wrong?" I demand. Skylar has a big smile on his face, and Everlee is quietly laughing beside him. Elise is wet.

"What's wrong?!" shouts Elise. "That was just the worst wake-up call ever."

"Well, it woke you up, didn't it?" I point out. Elise turns and glares at me, but doesn't argue anymore. "Sorry," I whisper to her. I hear Tige walk up behind me, and then head over to the other two rogues.

"You woke them up too?" Jared asks.

Everlee nods, her smile gone, all seriousness on her face. "We need to know why they were fighting."

"Doesn't it seem pretty obvious?" Jared asks. "Davnick was hired to kill the Invisible Rogue. That's all there is too it."

Everlee looks questioningly over to the other rogues. "Okay, then we know why they are fighting. But we..."

Jared cut her off. "There are no 'but's. We should just kill them now before they gain back their strength and kill us."

Everlee shakes her head. "We aren't killing them." She turns around and walks over to the rogues, Skylar right behind her, now holding her hand. I walk over and stand next to Tige and we all wait for... well, for anything.

"What are your names?" Everlee asks. I hear Jared mutter something about already knowing their names, but Everlee ignores him.

Reva

"If you really want to know it is not The Invisible Rogue, that's just what they call me." I snapped at them, and struggled to sit up. I was sore all over, and my wounds from before were hurting more than ever. "Where is my pet?"
"In weapon form."
I froze. "Where is he?'

Davnick

I sit quietly as Reva panics over her Pet. "Where is he?" She demands again.

The girl who was sitting on me earlier... or yesterday? It was yesterday judging by the angle of the sun. Anyway, her name was Seena, and she started explaining where Reva's Pet was. "He's safe. He's over there." She said pointing to the center of camp. There were several cloth-wrapped bundles set near the fire. Seena glanced at me. "Your Pet is over there too." She said. Her voice was odd, careful. Like she felt bad about something.

I grinned at her. "No, he isn't." I smirked at her confusion, then turned my attention to the girl who had first addressed us. "You're Everlee Pond, aren't you? You're on my list." A blond boy growled at me, and walked between the girl and I.

"Don't you even think about hurting her." He said menacingly. I laughed.

"What are you going to do about it, Pretty Boy?" The guy started forward, but Everlee grabbed his shoulder. The two started whispering.

"Sheesh, you annoy everybody you meet, don't you?" Reva drawled next to me.

"Shut up." Was all I said. I was more interested in the conversation going on in front of me. I had a feeling Everlee knew more about the Invisible Rogue, and Davnick the Rogue Slayer than she let on.

Elise:

I sighed, and approached Everlee and Skylar. I poked Skylar and put an arm over Everlee.

"Good job Skylar," I said.

"Shut up. I'm serious, I won't let anyone hurt Everlee," he replied. I turn to Everlee.

"I'm sorry about Skylar being so... protective," I apologized. I turn around and crouch in front of Danvick.

"Why dis you mention something about a list?" I ask with a clueless face.

Tess:

Jared ran up to me. "tess, please try and tell Lee that we need to kill the rogues! They're dangerous, and will kill us." For once he looked completely serious, and was actually kind of freaking me out.

"No." i said. "I'll admit that they probably kill us, but killing a man while he's down and unarmed is just as bad as the Dolls." he stared at me in shock as i walked away.

I walked up to where Everybody was talking. I had been up all night and was walking through the forest. I had just gotten back. Elise was talking to Lee and Skyler about something, and Davnick and the girl were laying on the ground, wide awake.

"Have they said anything?" I asked Lee.

She nodded. "Apparently, I'm on his list, and she is the invisible rogue, but that's about it." i nodded back. At least now we knew who they were.

What do you think we shoould do? nyx said.

Make the ice cuffs thicker.

Jared:

Everybody was insane! We should have killed them before they got the chance to do the same to us.
Jared, that's cruel. Amy said. I suddenly felt sheepish. Here I was, intruding on their group, and then second guessing their judgment. But that didn't change my mind.

Everlee

"Apparently, I'm on his list, and she is the invisible rogue, but that's about it." I answer Tess.

"It's the list of people he's hired to kill," I explain quickly to Elise. I crouch down to the ground beside her. "Now," I say quietly. "How else is on the list?"

Davnick stays quiet for a moment, looking closely at me. "Why should I tell you?" he finally asks.

"You aren't exactly in the position to bargain," the Invisible Rogue speaks up.

"Shut up," Davnick says again, and the two go off.

"Why don't you make me," the Invisible Rogue who's name is not the Invisible Rogue threatens.

"I would have killed you if you hadn't been rescued," Davnick says, looking a little bored.

"I wasn't rescued," she argues back.

"Alright!" I say, cutting in. "Both of you shut up!" Both stop and look at me. "Neither one of you have answered our questions," I say as calmly as I can. "First, we still don't know your name," I say, looking over to the girl rogue. "And you haven't told me anything about the list. All we need is information and we'll let you go on the promise that you stop hunting us. Doesn't that sound reasonable?"

Davnick

I considered the offer. There was no way I was going to let Everlee Pond out of my sight. That girl had a hefty bounty on her head, enough to rival that of Rayden Thorn, and myself. But I wanted to see where this potential opportunity would go. "Her name is Reva. I don't know her last name." Reva shot me a death glare.

"You had better watch it Dav. I'll kill you so fast..."

"Yea, 'cause that plan went so well last time." I rolled my eyes and ignored Reva, focusing on Everlee. "I work for the highest bidder. That's sometimes the government, sometimes Dolls that have enemies that need to disappear. I've even worked for my fellow Rogues, killing Dolls. Most recently, I've been contracted with the government. They have a list, which is constantly updated with the top 20 most dangerous Rogues out there. You Miss. Pond, are on that list. In the top 5, actually. This one," I said, gesturing as well as I could to Reva, "Has recently made the list. She's currently number five. You are number three, Miss. Pond. Myself, and a rogue named Rayden Thorn keep swapping first and second. Believe it or not, but that moron over there, is number four." I stared pointedly at Jared, who flinched.

Everlee turned to him, surprise clear on her face. "Is that why you've been telling us to kill him all morning?"

Jared wouldn't meet here eyes. "Well, you see..."

Elise:

I turned to Jared with an astonished look. I immediately clear my throat before Jared could finish his scentence.

"You're one of the top five most dangerous rogues?" I ask. Jared looked down again and tried to explain. I look to Danvick and hope that what I'm asking is not regretful.

"I'm not on the list, right?!" I ask. I hope to God that the word that comes out from Danvick's mouth is a solid "no".

Jared:

"Well you see..." Honestly, i had known i was on the list, but only since maybe a month ago. I really didn't care. Actually, I thought it was really cool. Girls really go for bad guys.breathe. i thought. i had to explain that I wasn't a selfish jerk. especially to Elise. "No. I was not insisting on killing him for that. it was to keep us all safe. I knew that you, everlee were in the top five, and that Tess was in the top twenty. And there is no way, I am gonna stand by while you guys let this freak go and kill us for money." I said in a rush, and then slowing way down near the end. Interest and even a little bit of shock crossed Davnick's face, but only for a moment. The others, including Tess, had a lot slower recovery.

"You knew?" Everlee said.

"Of course i knew." i wanted to say more, but I left it at that.

they were silent for a moment, and i couldn't blame them. they had just found out that they were traveling with two rogues that were on the top five list for wanted death.

Everlee turned back to Davnick. "You're on the list? Doesn't that seem a little bit weird that the government would hire somebody from the list, and the top five, too?" She had a point. The government was definitely getting very desprate to kill us all.

tess:

At first, I was shocked that we were on the list, but then, if we wern't trying to interrogate, i would have done a little fist pump. I mean, how cool is it that the government thought i was dangerous enough to put on a list to kill?!

Everlee

"I'm not on the list, right?!" Elise says.

Davnick looks up at her for a second. "If you're Elise Paige," he says. "Then you're number six."

"No," Elise says. "No, no, no, no, no. That isn't possible." Jared walks awkwardly over to her and gives her a hug.

"What about me?" Tess demands, clearly excited. "I'm Tess Adriad."

"Uh," Davnick says. "My guess would be 21."

"Huh?" Tess says, confused. "21? Why would you say that?"

"Because I've never heard of you before."

"What?!" Tess turns around and stomps over to Jared. "Tell me he's lying! I have to be at least 10!"

Jared looks over to me nerviously. "He's lying," Jared says at last.

Tess smiles for a moment. "Then what number am I?"

Jared closes his eyes, cringing away from Tess. "24."

"What?!" Tess says furiously. "How do you get to be number 4 when I'm 24?"

Jared:

"Easy, now!" i began backing up. "I don't make the lists!"

"But you'd think, that me being the one who tells you everything, That'd I be higher than you! the witless twit, that thinks about nothing but, girls!" Tess shouted. She stomped her foot defiantly. A large circle of ice appeared under her foot, making her slip backwards and fall on her butt. Davnick laughed at her anger.

She grumbled and got up. "Seriously, Tess. Calm down. We can worry about this later." Everlee said. "Wait, what did you say about telling Jared everything?"

Tess:

"I, uh..." I stuttered.

"She's, actually, been telling me everything she knows for years." Jared said. i sent him a glare.

"Why?" lee said.

"Because, I like knowing stuff. In fact, she's the one who gave me the list. i guess she didn't look at it."

Great. now I had to fulfill a threat against Jared. "now," i said, trying to change the subject, "Let's get back to the bounty hunter and murderer." i turned around ending the subject. I'd have to face them later, but maybe not in front of dangerous rogues.

I still couldn't believe I wasn't in the top ten! Made me so mad! And the smug look on the rogues faces were NOT helping my mood.

"So, then, why were you two fighting to the death?"
