Mikan Amaya

DAMMIT!

I tackled Eli off of Jacob, gritting my teeth together as we hit the rocky ground. I slid myself up, my hands beginning to shake. I need to get out of here but I have to take Jacob with me. Eli kicked at my chin sending me rheeling backwards, hot tears streaming down my face. I had never felt so much adrenalin before. Where was my taser for crying out loud?

"I'm going to kill you both! I will not die at the hands of you two dweebs!" Eli shouted, his nose bloody from where Jacob had punched him.

I glanced over at Jacob to see my taser in his hands. How was I going to get to him without Eli getting to him first? I began to stumble backwards though Eli was faster. With a grunt, he hauled himself to his feet and ran at me, his fist raised behind him. As he swung, my legs seemed to buckle and I hit the ground, ignoring the jarring pain in my lower back. Just move Mikan, just move! I bit into Eli's thigh, drawing blood. He howled in pain, pushing me off of him. I spat out what I hope wasn't a chunk of flesh and scurried towards Jacob.

There was my taser! I grabbed it quickly and snapped around to see Eli freeze right behind me.

"Go away, Eli!" I shouted loudly, tears making me sound no older then three years.

"You have to shoot me and that will only hold me off for a few minutes...a taser can't kill, Mikan!"

I didn't wait for him to say anything. I closed my eyes ad pulled back on the trigger. Eli erupted into a scream, the sound of bolts of electricty passing down a current buzzed loudly against the coming twilight. I yanked the cords from Eli's body as he fell, trying not to touch the thin white peices myself. I ran towards Jacob's side and tapped his cheek.

"Jacob, I'm going to get you out of here!" Hauling him onto my back, I felt my knees begin to shake with strain. I didn't stop though, wrapping my hands into his shirt, I stumbled forwards towards the giant hole in the wall. I had to get out of here and find a hiding spot, before anyone noticed us!

Location: Leaving building
Eli still in shock
Jacob knocked unconcious.
I spy!

I wake to the softness of a couch, The singing of birds, and a violent shaking from Mikan. When I get up Mikan asks,"Are you okay?" she looks worried.

"Yoshaha," I try to say. Another pain in my mouth. Mikan looks about to faint.

"Oh my god, your jaw is broken." I put my fist to my jaw and make a motion like I'm pushing in. She must get the message and puts her hand to my mouth and pushes in. A sharp wince of pain put it does the job.

"Tanks," I say.

"Your welcome, I think," she laughs. I can tell she's doing everything possible not to cry.

"Wat abot Eli?" I ask.

"I left him in the building, he's being tased at the moment, both the taser and the bayonet are there."

"I'm going to finis him of, which building are we in?" She tells me we're in building 50. I grab a map and set out. When I get in building 21 I see that Eli is still on the ground thrashing. He screams that he's going to kill both us. I pick up the bayonet off the floor and say,"I don't tink so," I turn of the taser so I don't get tased and approach him. He tries to punch me, but he's too weak. "Nighty-nite," I say I I spear him through the temple with the bayonet. I hear a muffled scream and that's it before he's dead. He doesn't seem to have any supplies on him so I grab the taser and go. When I get back I slump on the couch and fall asleep, not even telling Mikan about what happened.

In building 50 with Mikan, Eli James dead. Broken Jaw.

I'm sitting on a couch in someones home. Someones home. One of my classmates could die in someones home. It's hard for me to swallow, but I have to face the facts. This is a killing game after all. A game, if it can even be called that.

All of these thoughts and more are flooding through my head, when someone cautiously walks into the building, wielding a shotgun. I can see them, but they can't see me. I recognize Misty Jennings. She's the girl that was always best at everything. I remember being jealous of her, when she was elected Most Likely to Succeed. I had tried so hard to get that, and she just snatched it away. I am prepared to kill her, when I realize she wouldn't be bad to have on a team. My friend, Kyle, who transferred last year, lucky kid, told me he had a crush on her. I'm sure she can protect herself, but I feel like he'll hate me if I don't try to protect her.

"Don't shoot!" I say cautiously. She whips her head in my direction, but doesn't see me.

"Who are you?!" She says, panicky and shaky.

"It's Lucas." I respond, trying to sound calm, when I know she could kill within a matter of seconds. She tries not to show it on her face, but I can see relief on her face.

"Good, she trusts me." I say to myself.

"Show yourself!" She says, sounding like someone from a movie. I walk out into the open, my hands up. A smile breaks out on her face, when she sees my sarcastic gesture.

"What do you have for a weapon?" She asks.

"A handgun." I walk over to grab my gun. She follows me into the living room. I show her my gun.

"You know, with two guns, we'd be a pretty good team." I think about her offer. I definitely don't want to go into this alone, and Misty would be a pretty good partner.

"Sure." Warmth and relief spreading throughout my body. She's right. With two guns, we could be unstoppable. Not that I like the idea of killing my classmates, but still. I can see the sun setting through the open window. I dash over and close the shades, hoping no one saw me in here. I sit back down on the couch. I go back to studying the map. She goes down into the kitchen, looking for something. I notice she still has her gun with her. Is she just paranoid, or does she not trust me as much as I thought?

In the tiny building with no number, in between 20 and 21. In an alliance with Misty Jennings.

I was touched that she said I was the only one she trusted, considering I'd been the only one nice to her since kindergarten. But I was disappointed that Alison didn't want anyone else in our alliance. I kind of figured I was going to be in an alliance, considering how many friends I had at school. I just didn't think I was going to be in a one person alliance. I'd had no experience in the wilderness, and I wasn't sure how much Alison knew either.

We stopped after walking for about a half-an-hour. I stood up cautiously on a giant boulder. I could just barely see the ocean in the distance.

"I see the ocean. Let's head for that." I didn't really have a plan for when we were going to get there, but I figured I could think of something on the walk there. And I knew that sounding confident made others around you confident. We'd been walking in a mixture of forest, field, city, and hillish range. We'd finally arrived at the coast after an excruciating walk. I didn't feel comfortable out in the open. I looked around, and I only saw beachside shacks, which would only give away our location.

"How about over here?" Alison suggested. I looked over to where she was pointing. A little more inland, there was a house. I didn't want to go int there, but then I saw what she was pointing at. Not the house, but a little ways away from the house. It just looked like a pile of dirt for a minute, but the clouds shifted and I saw the glint of metal. How she knew what it was, I had no idea.

We walked over to it. It looked like a bomb shelter, but it turned out to be someone's basement. I tried the lock, but it was stuck and rusted. I found a rock, but when I went to pick it up, a snake slithered out from under it. I screamed loud enough for the whole island to hear. I ran away from the snake, terrified. Alison calmly but quickly walks over to the rock, picks it up, and smashes the lock. We dash down into the basement, before we even see if there's anything in there. She must've pulled out her flashlight, because there's a flash of white and the basement is illuminated.

"What was that about?!" She hissed at me, clearly annoyed. This is not like her usual, kind, always understanding self. Maybe the nerves have gotten to her.

"I don't like snakes." I whispered back. Instantly I can see sympathy in her eyes, but I can tell she wants to know why.

"I also don't feel like telling the story." I say, before she can ask.

"Come on. It can't be that bad." I think about this for a moment. It's not the memories so much as the shock that bothers me. I get goosebumps, but I tell her anyway.

"Well, I'm really close with my cousin, Raúl. And when we were little, we loved to go outside and pretend we were explorers." She nods, intrigued. "And one day, we were looking for buried treasure." A smile breaks out on my face when I think about the good times we used to have. "And he picked up a rock, thinking the treasure was under there. A snake came out and bit him." The memories come flooding back to me. "We were pretty deep in the woods, and it was bleeding a lot. I didn't know if the snake was poisonous, and he kept balling. I didn't know what to do, and which way it was back to the house. He kept screaming, and it's a lot of responsibility on a six year old to make sure someones okay." I shiver, feeling like a snake is about to bite me. "My parents must've heard him screaming, because they came running. I knew everything was going to be okay, but they kept asking me, 'What did the snake look like?' or, 'How long ago was he bit?'. I didn't know the answers to the questions, and I felt like I had let them all down. He was okay in the end, but every time there's a snake, I feel like my parents are going to keep asking me questions I don't know the answer to." She nodded, like she understood.

"I know how you feel. I can't watch scary movies without feeling like it's real, not that it has much to do with anything." I appreciate the effort, her trying to make me feel better.

"But you know what? We're going to get through this." I shiver.

"Stop lying Alison. Only one of us can win."

(This post belongs directly above posums last post the end is in posums post he posted to early)

My eyes flash open due to a near by scream, the scream of a young girl. I can’t stand Death. Despite how stupid it is I jump from the tree I’m in, and charge off into the woods after the subsided scream. There! I see a kid, that’s the kid from yesterday. No time to think, I run and jump off the face of the building I’m running at, swinging my hammer down towards the top of his skull. Dam it! I missed, he must have heard me coming for he stepped back a pace letting my hammer smash into the ground with a dull thud. Now he has the upper hand.

I find a building in the middle of the town. I unpack and set up a camp. Nothing will happen today. I need to get set back up and to kill Thomas now that he is bound to hunt me down and finish What we started. I dress my wounds and lie in wait. He will be here soon.

My eyes slowly flicker open like the light from a candle sitting in a draft. I sit up and take a big breath of air, quickly stopping when I notice the strong smell of rotting flesh. The first thing I think of is revenge. There is a knife next to me and a faint trace of what I think was a message from someone. Hunter, it must be from Hunter. I stand up take my knife and and the remains of my hammer, next I enter the house of the murder and find that Hunter didn’t kill the girl rather he tried to save her. It doesn’t matter she is dead now all I can do now is look for any sort of food. I left my rations at my camp but I will need more. I start looking around only to become angry at the fact that Hunter took it all. In my anger I kick a piece of medal and it flies away revealing a small hole in the wall, it’s full of food. I take it all and begin to head back to my camp, I’ll get my rations and come back here to track Hunter. It only takes 10 minutes to get my backpack full of my rations and get back to the place that I fought Hunter. There are faint tracks in the ground, I follow them until it begins to get dark. There is a nice looking building with a door that opens in. I climb into the building and place a big long piece of medal on the handle so that no one will be able to get inside. I have no wood so there will yet again be no fire, that means more cold tasteless salty and very chewy beef.

=Jacob Polaris=

Jacob heard Liz whisper a word of caution behind him. "I'll be okay." He whispered back. Jacob crawled to the edge and saw someone wandering down below. He whispered his findings and watched as the figure disappeared into a building. He craned his neck to follow but the edge of the concrete gave away falling into the depths of the earth. Jacob was not falling, why wasn't he falling? He looked up to see Liz gripping his arm, leaning back to heave him up. Still petrified, Jake somehow scrambled onto the ledge, "We should go." he said. She nodded. They quickly flocked to the center of the floor by what looked to have been an elevator. Liz and Jake looked around and found some rope and a flashlight.
"Someone else is here." Liz whispered.
Jake nodded, "Let's get out of here." He scrambled to the whole which lead to a crumbling old stairwell and jumped the two foot drop to the hard concrete below, Liz jumped after him. With footsteps echoing behind them he grabbed her hand and they escaped down the stairwell jumping stairs. Still golding hands, they reached ground level and darted across the debris that littered the land. Once they reached the woods they stopped running. Jacob leaned against a tree and Liz sat down next to him. The sun set in the distance and soon darkness fell.

My eyes shoot open, someone is walking towards the building I'm in. A twig snaps, they are getting closer. I can hear their footsteps they are now right outside the building. My pulse begins to race, faster than I can count. Sweat begins to form on my face and stream down my back.
"Hello, is anyone there please I need help. She sobs as she knocks on the door. My pulse settles as I realize that it's only Ramona Adler. This should be a more than easy kill, but I need to first find out what time it is. She begins to walk away, once her footsteps are nearly inaudible I take my knife and cautiously open the door. I''m guessing that It"s the middle of the night. I silently dash from building to building slowly catching up to Ramona. Once she is with in ear shoot I whisper
"Hello." She swings around bringing her weapon up in a defensive and menacing way. I quickly dash across the street making sure that she can just barley see me as the shadow of a building engulfs me. Next I quickly follow the shadows and slip behind buildings until I am in front of her. Once there I step intentionally step on a twig and run to the other side of the street. She swings around bringing her weapon up in a defensive manner.
"Who's there! she shouts out at me." Waving her weapon. I warn you, I'm armed.
she says as I climb a building, and start jumping from building to building each time ducking out of her sight. "Only problem is that I am to, I say in mid air."
"Stop running, she shouts. and fight like a man" By the time she says this I am hiding on top of a building that is directly above her.
"I-I-I'm not s-scared of you, she shakily screams.
"I know, she realizes to late where I am. With adrenaline rushing through my veins, I jump and land directly on top of her. Stabbing my knife threw her vertebra instantly killing her. Warm blood splatters across my face, I wipe it off and pull my knife out of her neck. She could have attracted lots of attention wondering threw this place calling out for help. I take the rations and weapon that she had. Quickly and quietly I make my way back to the building I was originally camping in, covering my tracks as I go. Now back in the building I eat some of my food rations and go to sleep.

I was shaken awake. I must've dozed off, because I don't remember falling asleep.

"There's someone outside!" Misty whispered urgently. I heard a rustling outside. I ran over to where I saw Misty, but where she couldn't see me. I was hoping it would have the same affect on the intruder. I saw something moving. I cocked my gun shakily. There was a hole in the wall where I positioned the gun. I didn't want to kill my own classmates, but I figured it would protect both me and Misty. I saw a torso come through the door, and I shot. I heard a sickening thud, and a moan of agony. I dashed over to whoever it was.

Jimmy Connors. At least it wasn't one of my friends. I had never really liked Jimmy, ever since the huge fight we had last year. We both said things that shouldn't be mentioned, all because he accused me of taking his baseball mitt at practice. We were so stupid then. If only we knew what would happen today.

He was lying in a puddle of his own blood. It reeked all through the house.

"Do it." He muttered. I barely heard it, because of the blood pounding in my ears. He gave me a forced grin, and I pulled the trigger. His eyes rolled back into his head, and just like that, he was dead.

Jimmy Connors dead, with Misty Jennings in the tiny building in between 20 and 21.

Alison took my hand. I was still shaking from the horrible memory I’d just had to re-tell.

“Okay, so what do we do now?” I asked. “I mean, are we just going to sit here and wait it out, or are we going to go and end this faster?”

“I don’t know...” She said, putting her head in her hands.

”Do you know anything?” I thought to myself. I canceled this thought as soon as I realized what I’d just “said”. To stay alive in this, I had to trust at least one person.

“Okay. So how do you want to decide what we do? We can sit here and rot,” I noted the sound of dripping water in the corner, “Or we can go do something about this. What do you want to do?” I said, more intensely this time. As a response, she shook her head. A watery sob escapes her lips, and she breaks down. I pat her back.

“There there. It’s going to be okay. We’ll get through this.” She sobs even harder. “Come one Alison. Get it together. We don’t know if anyone’s around.” She starts to sob uncontrollably. I’m mad now. “Alison stop. This is just what they want you to do! They’re getting to you! Snap out of it!” I scream at her. She opens her watery eyes. One last tear falls, and makes a satisfying plop on the ground.

“Okay.” She sniffles and wipes her nose on her sleeve. “I’m alright now.”

“Good. Let’s go see if anyone’s outside. I can’t stand it down here.”
