I have no problem with you joining, and you don't have to be new, we're all in the huge lab, just be sure you read all of the profiles and the past posts.

Also, fighting. I have no problem with your character resisting, but don't go too crazy with it. Don't have them kill anyone, beat anyone, just yet. Save that for when they run. So far, it's going great, and I just want to thank you all for joining!

~Katrina~

This was a little worrying. I hoped none of them got hurt, but I was sure they wouldn't, they knew better than to get in trouble.

"Ouch!" I bursted out as they stuck a new needle in my lower back. It had a purple liquid in it, which frightened me a little. I noticed one particularly nice doctor walked in, Dr. Chevek. She was always nice, and never rude. She was second in charge over everything. Of course, first would be all of the military, but she was over all of the scientists. She was nice too, and she knew all of our names. She looked at her watch, ignoring the two huge men that went to ask her what she wanted.

"Can we rap this up?" she said, loud enough for all of them to hear. "Running starts in 10, and you haven't even finished giving them the new meds." I hadn't realised today was running day, aka tubes attached, Blue running through our veins. Running day was where they pumped us full of the Blue for a week, so I guess you couldn't call it day.

The finished up with all of the Blue and Purple, then we followed separate doctors to different rooms, followed by two military men. It was uncomfortable, really, having them watch over us while we walked down a hall, while we ate, while we were given our meds.

I laid on the bed without a word as Dr. Chevek got the tubes ready. I was lucky to have her as my doctor, because she wasn't mean. She did hook the tubes up for all of us, but she always saw me first. today, she made the men get out, and we were alone. This was a first.

"Kat, I have a few things I need you to do," she said in a low voice, I had to lean close to hear her. "I want to help you all, so I brought some things for you." She pulled out a huge file from her bag. "This is top secret, which is why I'm giving it to you I trust that you will look over it while you are in here, but I'm not expecting you to understand. I'll explain it all later. For now, hide this." I took it from her, stuffing it between the mattress and the metal frame work of the way small bed. "Also, I won't be giving any of you the Blue. I want you to be able to have full strength, which is why I made the Purple. It helps your wings with strength, so I'll be pumping that in you. Also, I'm not putting you out, I want you to be able to read that."

She hooked up all the tubes where they needed to be, and I watched as the Purple liquid flowed into my body and I watched as it traveled through my body, clearly seen through my skin. It stung a little, but I just had to get used to it. She nodded before leaving to go hook more of us up. I took out the file, sitting up once the door was closed and locked, and I began to read over it.

I would explain it all right now, but she'll be telling everyone about it later, so I don't want to give it away yet. It's just about the whole fighting thing and I added another little secret to be revealed later!

Angel:

"Wait! We are running?" I asked scared. I looked around and everyone looked like i was NUTS!

A few of them just shook their heads and one of them said, "You must REALLY be new here."

I slumped and then rufled my fifteen feet long black wings. Then I saw a person in a white coat come up to me and he put a hand on my arm. "I am sorry Angel, you cant go out and run today becuase we still need to take tests on you and your body since somebody hid you for 15 years. We dont know much about you and what you can do." The man siad while squising my arm tight.

"Ow!" i said. "I dont know-wait! what do you mean about what i can do?"

He just shook his head and turned to the other white coats, "Get them out there now and bring this one to me in 10 minutes." They just nodded their head and started running around like rats.

I closed my eyes and sighed. Why did it had to be my dad who is one of the main doctors? I asked myself.

Cree

Deep breaths, Cree. Deep breaths.

My fists were clenched on either side of me, stinging needles stabbing into the veins in my arms, legs, and just between my wings. I choked down a whimper and stared. The Blue wasn't there- it was... purple? That's new. I closed my eyes, wings trembling, forcing myself not to look as the thick liquid started oozing through my veins.

Okay. Left arm done. Right arm.

My nails dug into my palm, the muscles in my arm tense and stiff. "Ease up, Cree," one of the female doctors said through a surgical mask.

"Kind of hard to 'ease up' when you've got that mask on. It makes me paranoid." I said through clenched teeth. I thought I heard laughter, but my blood was roaring too loudly in my ears to tell.

Left calf.

Right.

Wings.

I wanted to cry out as the needle slipped in, right between my shoulder blades. I stared at my arms instead- faint purple lines were marking my veins. Was that stuff that opaque? Wow.

I swayed as the needle pulled out, cold wetness being rubbed over the skin. Feeling slightly nauseous, I slowly opened my eyes, deep breathing still being used.

"Can I go out and fly now?"

OK, I can see where this wold be hard to understand, but that's not what his kind of running is.

Running: The doctor hooks wires to the normal 5 part of the body where the shot is given, and the Blue--in this case it's the Purple--in pumped through the body where it runs through the veins.

Not as in actual running. Sorry if that confused some of you.

It's OK, I see where you got confused. Maybe calling it something different would help.

Kyrah Loften

When they did the test run and they put the purple medicine in me I started screaming because it burned and hurt like crazy,"What the heck is this stuff,GET IT OUT!!" but the man in white said,"calm down Kyrah it wont hurt long." then he strapped me down so I couldnt move, not long after he strapped me down I started to cry because it hurt so much.
After it finally stopped hurting I felt a little light headed and told them to bring me to Kat so they pulled me up and carried me to where Kat and everyone else was and I went to Kat then cried,"Kat it hurt so much, why werent you there? You could have helped me get through it but you werent there, noone was because I was all alone." I finally just layed on the cold floor,I almost passed out but the doctors brung me back to my room for the last time and layed me down.
The truth will come out baby, and you'll be the only one lost in the dark >:)

Milo

Milo lay still as they injected him with Blue. Wait...was it Purple today? Since when did they get new stuff? he asked himself. He would've asked the doctor that was the head of Running today, but he'd already gotten himself in enough trouble. They'd even figured out a way to pin his wings to the medical table.

They let him up so they could put some Purple inbetween his shoulder blades. He wriggled his wings in relief. Warm hands clamped them to his side, and he sighed in frustration. He'd learned his lesson; he wouldn't be a smartass when there were military men in the room. And there were always military men in the room.

It disturbed him that only Cree had stood up for him. Even saintly Kat only watched with wide eyes, but that was all right since she was so sweet. No one would've expected her to flip out on them. The rest of them in the room had looked at him with slight indifference. He'd thought they were his friends-his family even. Maybe Milo wasn't worth the risk.

From the things I'd read in that file, I was scared, and ready to tell the rest of them what I had discovered. I was thanking God that there was a doctor like Dr. Chevek, because without her, we would have been lead into blind battle, no joke. I was ready to tell them all, but that would have to wait until tomorrow.

Once the running was complete, they took me back to my room, locking me in as usual. Tomorrow during our break/lunch time, I'd tell the others. That was the only open spot time I could see, and it was after we got more testing, in separate rooms this time, we had battle class, and went to our "class", which to humans would be called "school". We learned all about humans there, we learned to read, to write, all of it. that was new to all of us, but it had been here maybe five years along with all of the other new stuff from the military.

I laid in bed, wishing tomorrow would get here faster, but found myself falling to sleep before I knew it. I had to be strong if I wanted to get through this. I had to fight if I wanted to win. There was no other way to say this. I had to make myself do it. I had to push myself each day, or I wouldn't be ready. I tried to keep myself awake so I could practise my power.

Standing in the middle of the room, trying not to pass out from my long day, I focused on not being seen. These powers were just becoming known to me, but I knew that if I wanted to help them escape, I'd have to make myself better than I already was. I had to push myself to the max. I looked down at where my body was supposed to be, but there was nothing. I had done it, I had made myself invisible. My white and blue wings were no longer there, I wasn't there, I wasn't visible. I laughed, feeling accomplished. It didn't last long, maybe ten minutes. I had the feeling like it could be longer, I had to see if it would last longer.

Maybe it was practicing all night, but once they came to get me that morning, I was exhausted. I hadn't gone to sleep, I had pushed my power, tested it. I could last longer now. I tried to make it until our break time, but I kept falling asleep, or trying. I pushed myself, fighting like I knew I could through combat. Even though I was tired, I still fought and won. They were humans, they were easy to take down, wings or no wings.

EDIT:
Ace:

Two men grabbed me out of the room I've been in for the past year. They've been running some stupid test on me that took forever. When the two men grabbed me I asked "What's going on?" One of them said robotically "You're finished with this test now, so we're moving you to a more regular part of the lab."

After walking for what seemed like forever with the two Ghost Men clutching my arms we finally got to a door, white of course. Once they opened it and I saw the equipment I relaxed all my muscles and let myself slump down to the ground. I'm sick and tired of being treated like a dog.

When they yanked me up I pulled my arms away. "Leave me alone!" I screamed louder than neccecary. One of the Ghost's reached for me again and my intinct to protect myself took over and I clawed his face, causing blood to drip down both his face and my hand. When the other one reached for me I slapped him, and then the first one punched me in the face, hitting my eye.

I refused to let them see that I was in pain, so I restrained myself from crying and letting my hand cover my eye. One of them pushed me into the room and closed the door.

I like it, but we're saving the fighting for later, if that's OK.

Oh. Okay. The reason she fought was because she was tired of being treated like crap and was done with it. But I'll edit it.

EDIT: Is it okay now?

There is nothing more radical or counter-cultural, at the moment, than laying down one’s cynicism in favour of tender vulnerability.
