Independence Day!

So what are people doing for Independence Day? BBQ? Fireworks? Foot bath? Celebrating independence by dropping tea bags in the Boston harbor?

Staring at the Cambodian US embassy and wondering why on earth they're putting all these flags up, then going "d'oh" as I remember the date : P

Going to some big picnic shindig with my family

Nothing, considering I'm British.

It is my cousins birthday today though, strangely. I'm going out for a meal so technically, I am doing something on independence day.

I ate an ice cream with my friend. Then I ate another ice cream and she did too. Then we went to McDonald's and bought sundaes each.

Going to go to Summerfest [It's a music festival] to watch the fireworks!

I went and got an iced tea and walked around and one building had American balloons flying outside. Then we realised why.

Uh... happy claiming independence from the British?

Fireworks!

Our neighborhood has an annual competition to see who can get away with the most (illegal) fireworks on Independence Day. It's extremely entertaining, and way better than the shows you have to pay for =) This year I think someone got ahold of a bunch of Roman Candles, which are my favorite.

I think we're having a BBQ too =D

And I'm on my way out to visit a few of the various war memorials in our area. Helps to remind us why we are celebrating.

In any case, seeing the fireworks tonight over Lake Erie

Well yesterday I partied all night long... didn't get home until 2:00 A.M...
Then today we had Sunday church service, and tonight I'm going over to my boyfriend's house for another party.

Normally I do something, like last year I went to the espoinage (sp?) and watched the fireworks there, which was really cool! But this year xD I hardly remembered.

Although I might go to see fireworks with my friend soon...if my mom lets me go xD
