I saw the Broadway tour of WICKED!!!!

It was so awesome. 2nd best day of my life, next to my birth.
hey, Jude, don't make it bad
take a sad song and make it better
remember to let it into your heart
then you can start
to make it better.

We were (unwittingly) in the parade that marched through our town. The last person had passed, the crowd started to disperse, my mom said, "C'mon, let's go in the middle of the street to get back to our car, it's less crowded!" and thus we found ourselves walking at the tail end of the parade. Some people decided to be funny and cheered especially loud for us...and there were cameras everywhere...and none of my family was wearing anything the least patriotic; we had greens and oranges and grays and blacks, but absolutely no red, white, or blues. :P
There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people:
psychopaths and mystery writers.

I'm the kind that pays better.

I woke up at 4:45am and drove for 1/2 hour to my old school, where I made about 4,000 pancakes for the town's Pancake Breakfast. Then at noon I tried to open my booth for the Midway (kinda like a carnival?), but the guy wasn't ready, so I drove off to find a place that was open to buy food. Then I ran a booth for my organization, Teens Against Domestic Abuse (TADA) with a bungee cord bounce thingy. I watched the fireworks at 10pm, took down my booth, ate at Denny's (french toast - I couldn't stand to see another pancake!) and got home at my legal curfew, 1am. LONG day! I also have an intense sunburn right now and am sore all over. But it was fun! I got a bunch of free stuff... the pancake breakfast, fries, a hamburger, and rides in the bounce houses. Volunteering has many perks. =]
