He has a lot to deal with at the moment, so I don't think he'll be around." One of the maids pulled some fresh bread out of the oven, laying a piece on a folded cloth and cutting it in half before handing it to me. I watched the steam come out of the middle of it, and I handed half to Marroe.
He seemed hungry, but he also seemed to want to get out of here. I sighed, and walked back out into the hall. They were bringing Sophie back, all white and clean. She jogged over to me, and I gave her a piece of the hot bread. Upon her heating it and almost half my hand, I went to the garden, motioning for the guards to leave the area so he wouldn't be jumping out of his skin.
