Wolffang :

Wolffang swayed his tail to and fro as he bounded over to Mudpaw and the apprentice's father and mentor, Rainstorm, a goofy grin on his chops. "Wolffang!" Mudpaw called happily, pouncing on the grey cat's tail as he came to a halt and sat down.

"Hey kid!" Wolffang grinned, nosing the apprentice. "Congradulations, I was meeting with an old badger when you got your apprenticeship, so I wasn't able to call out your name with the others." He winked. "So... you're Mudkit now right?" Wolffang smirked, giving the apprentice a tough time.

"Mudpaw!" The youngster stressed, his ears flat. "Wait... you got to meet a badger?! Was he mean?!" Wolffang smirked, popping up on for legs and bowing to the ground before Mudpaw, his tail swaying.

"The meanest ever! His teeth were six inches long and his claws were terrible! He had the wickedest red eyes I've ever seen!" Wolffang chuckled when Mudpaw gaped, eyes glazing over in fright.

"Still telling your little stories, Wolffang?" Mudpaw's mother, Hailfur, appeared through the bushes, Wolffang's pelt heating up in a blush.

"I-I was just kidding! She's an old, old badger, many many moons older than any of us. Her name's Missy, and she's very sweet. Just remember, only very few badgers are kind."

"I know! I know!" Mudkit groaned.

"Mudkit." Rainstorm warned, noting his son's slight disrespect.

"It's Mudpaw!"

"Stop! It's fine Rainstorm, he's still learning." Wolffang interjected before anything got out of hand. In truth, Mudpaw reminded Wolffang of him when he was an apprentice. "Also, Mudpaw, when you're fighting your father, go for his right side, he's a little slower if you come from that side."

Silence befell the group, the three warriors, Rainstorm, Wolffang, and Hailfur all remembering the time, many moons ago when Wolffang and Rainstorm fought almost to the death over the third warrior in the clearing, Mudpaw's mother, Rainstorm's mate, Hailfur. In the end, Hailfur chose the loser of the fight, Rainstorm, over Wolffang, stating it was better if relationships stayed within the clan. Wolffang, however, never got over the beautiful she-cat.

"And it works?!" Mudpaw smiled, excited. Wolffang smirked at Rainstorm.

"Every time."

Hailfur was still silent, her tail twitching.

(Hey, mind if I join? I've read every warriors book there is. :P There used to be a couple storybooks on here that were based on warriors, but were wolves instead - but that was three years ago.)

Name: Quailstorm

Gender: She-cat (Female)

Role: Warrior

Clan: Webclan

Personality: Sharp-tongued and aggressive. She is quick to get into fights, though she is clever with what she says. She is loyal to her clan and for the most part she gets along with her clanmates.

Appearence: Quailstorm is a dark brown she-cat with black spots. She has mid-length fur and has broad shoulders. For the most part she is a large cat. Quailstorm also has white paws and amber eyes.

Family: Unless you want to be family with Quailstorm (just post here or PM me with the request), she has no family relations that matter much.

Likes/Hates: She dislikes it if her or her clan/clanmates loyalty is questioned and she has little tolerance for the actions of the other clans. She likes to fight and enjoys praise from her clanmates unless they go to far with it. (Sugar-coat it just to look nice and good)

Up for love: Possibly. If you can get her to like someone.

Other: None at the moment!
[Griffinkeeper] 10:45 pm: The guard appears "We have weasels now!"
[Firearris] 10:45 pm: askes the guard for the weasel!
[Griffinkeeper] 10:45 pm: The guard gives Firearris the Weasel.
[Firearris] 10:46 pm: aquires the weasel and renames it "Cat"

Take that, Lumi.

Rainstorm
"And it works?!" Mudpaw asked his eyes bright. Wolffang smirked at Rainstorm, and gave a long glance to Hailfur.
“Every time.” Rainstorm intertwined tails with Hailfur and liked her cheek. He wanted to show that she was his, and he did. He stepped away.

“Come on Mudpaw. We need to take care of the clan. Would you like to come Hailfur?” Rainstorm ignored Wolffang as Hailfur excepted. He didn’t want to have to deal with this right now.

“We will be hunting by the swamp. Maybe you should go by the river.” He hinted then bounded off not waiting to see if anyone followed.

Cinderstar

I lay down in the grass. The sun made it warm. I could sleep here forever. Birchpelt stayed standing.

“I had a dream last night about Wolffang.”

“Should we trust him? I am not sure about him or Sandstorm.”

“Star clan said, Mist and wolf will meet. They seem unmatched. One will get help. A betrayer of her own clan. But, what clan is she loyal too?” Birchpelt sighed.

“I am not sure what this means. Wolffang will meet mist? Is this a cat or the real thing? Probably a cat. The betrayer seems to be someone between clans like Wolffang. We will just have to keep an eye out. The only thing I know for certain that depending on who wins two clans will be almost destroyed or they will prosper.”

Spoiler
So I was basicly thinking that Wolffang and Mistydawn should fight. Mistydawn could be planing to do some aweful thing . . . or somthing. . .

Quailstorm: You should have some kits that are apprentices, just so we have more cats.

Grayfur

Grayfur lay on her side in the cozy nursery, "When are we going to be apprentices?" Toadkit asked.
"Not for a moon!" Poppykit said with a annoying meow. Toadkit was the only tom but Rainkit thought of herself as a tom.
"No, it's going to be tomorrow! come on Toadkit go and practice!" Rainkit said excitingly.
"Poppykit is right, it's still a moon away." Grayfur said with a glow of happiness in her eyes.

Spoiler
I'm think Rainkit is going to be the Medicine cat apprentice
Charlie Bucket: You can eat the grass?
Willy Wonka: Of course you can! Everything in this room is eatable, even *I'm* eatable! But that is called "cannibalism," my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies.

**Mistydawn? She's the deputy of Cherryclan, right? Would the betrayer be Sandstorm, or another cat?

Wolffang -

Mudpaw looked between his father's disappearing form, then his mother, and finally, Wolffang. "But... I want to stay with Wolffang!" The apprentice declared, his mother's ears drawing back and lips raising in a snarl.

"Mudpaw! Your father wishes for you to go to him." She growled, looking over at Wolffang in slight anger. Maybe it was because her son favored Wolffang rather his own father. Wolffang smiled softly at Mudpaw, slightly flattered.

"You may come with me, if you truly wish that." The apprentice nodded quickly. Wolffang looked over at Hailfur, who was bristled in anger and shock. The she-cat suddenly snarled, and shot after her mate, yowling in anger.

"Let's go Wolffang! C'mon!" The apprentice bounced up and down. "I want to learn to fish!" Mudpaw smiled brightly, Wolffang grinned from ear to ear and led the apprentice to the river shallows.

Chupatoasta, you are correct. Is everyone O.K. with that plan? Can someone make themselves be the deputy of Bushclan. Someone really trustworthy and good.

Hailfur

“Cinderstar, can I speak to you in private.” I whispered. Cinderstar liked her lips getting the last taste of mouse off them.

“Let’s go into my den. No one can over hear us there” Cinderstar walked to the highrock then slipped into the hole that led to her den. The floor was covered in pine needles, and I almost slipped. Cinderstar slipped in graceful like she always was. She laid in one of the moss lined beds.

“Sit.”

“Thank you” I said as I sat. This den always gave me the feeling Starclan was watching me.

“Today Wolffang encouraged Mudpaw to disobey Rainstorm. I think Wolfang is a bad influence on my son, and all the other apprentices.” My voice began to rise.

“Shhhh, I already know these things, and I agree with you. My only advice is to talk to Rainstorm. Tell him to talk to Mudpaw and take control. I can see why Mudpaw likes Wolffang, but they can’t teach each other anything. Rainstorm and Mudpaw need to be together. . .”

“I will, but”

“I’m not done, don’t worry. I will talk to wolf fang or have someone else see to it. Alright” I wasn’t going to speak out of turn again, and I was comforted by the thought a little though.

“Yes, thank you for helping me. I am just so worried. Tension is so high between those two. I never know what they will do next.” Cinderstar stood up.

“Yes, the things toms will do!” Cinderstar was still purring when I left.

Cinderstar

Wolffang and Mudpaw trotted into camp each holding a fish. I walked over.

“Wolffang, Mudpaw. Please follow me.” As we reached my den,

“Mudpaw you wait here I will speak with you in a moment.”

Wolffang:

"So, Hailfur tells me you encouraged Mudpaw to disobey Rainstorm," Cinderstar began, Wolffang sitting down and curling his tail around his paws.

"If I may Cinderstar, I did not encourage the apprentice to do anything. However, I see my fault in not discouraging his wishes. He had wanted to come with me and get fish, rather than go with his father to hunt mice and birds. Personally, I was shocked that he wanted to go with me, but I wasn't going to argue, considering he's only been at his apprenticeship for a little while." Wolffang sighed, blinking his eyes slowly.

"This is the exact reason you're not to be given an apprentice." Cinderstar growled, glaring.

"No, Cinderstar, the reason is as it always has been. I was born to CaveClan, and that makes me the enemy, right? I am no longer loyal to them! My sister is in CaveClan, and my parents were from CaveClan. In case you're forgetting, the leader of Bushclan before you was my grandfather. May I be dismissed?" Wolffang growled, his large frame bristling in anger and shame. To be thought of as disloyal just because his parents were part of another clan! Perposterous!

"Yes, but you may no longer fratinize with Mudpaw, especially when it comes to training him. That is Rainstorm's job." Cinderstar sighed, defeated.

"I understand," with a sigh, Wolffang walked out of the den, touching noses with Mudpaw for probably the last time, before disappearing into the woods to hunt with a heavy heart and anger flowing through his veins.

Mudpaw

“What did she say?” I asked Wolffang as he walked out of Cinderstar’s den back bristling.

“Nothing, you can go in now. Just don’t believe everything she says.” As I slowly padded in my mind was whirling. Besides the fact that this was my first time in the leaders den, I had no idea what Wolffang meant. I trusted Cinderstar. She wouldn’t lie to me. Or would she?

“Mudpaw?”

“Yeah”

“Please sit. Now before I saw what I am going to I want you to know that it doesn’t matter that Wolffang was involved. I would say the same to any cat. . . . Today you went fishing with Wolffang, right?”

“Yes” I said not sure what she was getting at. “Why does that matter so much?”

“Your trainer, Rainstorm, wanted you to hunt with him. That is why it matters. You should have obeyed him.”

“Rainstorm is always crabby. With him I never can do anything right. He is my father! He should be proud of me. But, he only points out my faults.” My voice was rising. I was angry and confused. If Wolffang encouraged me then why shouldn’t I fish with him?

“Rainstorm could have gone fishing he knew I wanted to learn!” I didn’t have anything else to say so I waited for her to answer. A few minutes passed by, and I was about to ask to go, but she started to talk. (she tells about the whole deal with Hailfur, Wolffang, and Rainstorm)

“Now you can see why Rainstorm did not want to go fishing with Wolffang. I expect you to take this like a warrior.”

“Yes. . . I will”

“There is one more thing I wish to say. You probably still wish Wolffang was your Trainer, but you and your father need each other. Or at least your father needs you. He needs you to show him things. I probably shouldn’t say more than that. Just remember to not get angry. Your father has a lot on his mind. Oh, and remember not all cats are slow on their right side. What you need to do is push up, forward, and sideways instead of just up and forward. Now I need to go find Wolffang . . . .”

Cinderstar

I bounded out of my den. Not even caring Mudpaw was there alone. I needed to find Wolffang, and tell him that is not what I meant at all. As I ran in the direction I had been told I thought about Oddkit and her siblings. It was going to take some time for her two choose Warriors to train them all, and Oddkit should be a paw soon after the gathering. She needed to tell Wolffang she had been angry when she had spoken to him. Already she had been confused about the omen involved with him.

“Wolffang”

“What do you want?”

“I just want to tell you I didn’t mean what I said the way you took it.” She was panting already and Wolffang started to walk at a brisk pace.

“I was angry and frustrated when I spoke with you and I should have kept my temper. I was dealing with an omen, and . . . and I just wanted to tell you that after the gathering I am going to have you be Oddkits apprentice if that’s alright. I am not doing it just to make you feel better either I-” As Wolffang turned towards me I stopped.

*Oddkit's two moons older than all of her siblings, so Cinderstar has a while before deciding their mentors(: Umm.... when's the gathering?*

Wolffang:

Wolffang, after listening to Cinderstar's drabble, whipped around, stalking towards the she-cat, his eyes set in a glare. "I have been a part of Bushclan for four years. Four years! Tomorrow, I will be four and a half years old! In other words, I came to Bushclan when I had just began my apprenticeship! I was with you, Rainstorm, and Hailfur, fighting side by side for four years! I fought with all of you in the Great War, when Deathclan came, and even saved your life! Your weak life. Hawkstar, before his death, wouldn't allow me an apprentice for the exact reason that I wasn't a clan cat and yet you! You were given one two moons after becomeing a warrior, and then... were allowed to be leader when you started out as nothing but a kittypet!"

With a deep growl, Wolffang sat down, taking a short breath. "You always ask, 'Wolffang, why do you look so angry?' or 'Wolffang, why were you in the nursery so long?' and stupid questions like that, when you know exactly why, and you know there's more than one reason!" Wolffang stalked back and forth, trying to calm himself down.

After a couple seconds, he turned his eyes to look at Cinderstar. "Do you remember... the day you became deputy?" Cinderstar looked appaled that he was still speaking. "I asked you, I begged you to promise me one thing. If you were offerered leader position, you'd decline. You asked why, and you remember what I told you?" Cinderstar seemed blank. "I said, that even though I came to Bushclan for Hailfur, and even fought Rainstorm for her, I was falling head over paws in love with you. Do you remember what you said?" Wolffang smirked, shaking his head sadly. "You told me... that what happens happens, and you couldn't return my feeling because... because I wasn't of full Bushclan blood."

Wolffang let out a snarl. "And did you realize then, how ironic it was?! How stupidly ironic that a once kittypet was saying you couldn't love me back, because I wasn't of her clan, one that she was never really born into, nor had any blood relation to whatsoever! The day of your inductment into leader, you looked at me from your high horse, and I could see pity in your eyes." He began to shake with anger.

"Pity for me!" He stood once again, lowering so his belly touched the forest floor. "I had had hope... when I saw those eyes, I had had hope that surely, surely you'd give me an apprentice so that one day, I'd be able to be side-by-side with you as nothing but a true warrior, and possibly deputy. But no... I've had to wait for a year! A year of your leadership and now you're giving me an apprentice!" He lunged, pinning Cinderstar to the ground, having complete power over her. "I could take a life from you right now, that's how angry I am. How angry, and upset, and... and distraught I am right now! I could take you from nine, to eight with a single move, and yet... I won't. And Cinderstar... you know why I won't." He stared down into her eyes, his eyes not displaying any emotion.

Wolffang stepped away from Cinderstar his head lowering and looked back at her, and then shot into the forest, heading back to the dens.

Oddkit:

Oddkit glared from the corner as her littermates mewed and wrestled with one another, soon making their way out of the den. She followed, boredly. "Oddkit, come pway with us!" Dirtkit mewed, Snowkit suddenly jumping on his head, the white kitten laughing loudly at her older brother. Oddkit sighed, and laid down, basking in the sun.

"Still playing with the kittens?" Mudpaw's annoying voice came from behind her, Oddkit snarling.

"Don't you dare think, just because you became an apprentice before me, you're any better than me!" Oddkit growled.

"Oh, but I do." He was only playing, but Oddkit didn't take it that way. With a snarl, she lunged, she and Mudpaw rolling across the clearing.

"I'll show you!" She yowled, biting down on his ear. Mudpaw yowled, his back claws grazing her stomach. She snarled, shaking her head side to side, Mudpaw's ear still in between her teeth as blood seeped from the wound slowly. Mudpaw gripped onto her shoulder, refusing to let go as blood was slowly drawn.

:( You are making all my cats mean. :D Sorry I havn't written in a while. I thought the gathering should be at the end of each month. So in four days I will post us going. I don't really have time to write about Mudpaw. So howabout Hawkfire stopped them when Cinderstar called the clan meeting.

Cinderstar

I sat stunned for a moment. I didn’t know what to think. I hadn’t known. He should have said something. I had just been doing what I thought was right. I took a step back, then two. I turned and ran. I didn’t slow down tell I got to the river bank. I walked out into the current, and stepped up onto a boulder.

I sat there for hours thinking. I had been doing so well, and now I had no idea. Wolffang he had spat all my failures in my face. He was right I had been awful. Did it count for something that I hadn’t meant to be? When he spoke those mature words I hadn’t been ready. I was young then, not ready to be anything more than an apprentice. Everything had been thrown at me, and I had to choose. Or so I thought.

I had too much to think about. As the sun was going to set soon. I gathered my thoughts. Tomorrow I had to pick a new deputy! I had didn’t have a clue. Wolffang. The thought popped into my head. Of course I couldn’t he would think I was just trying to fix things. Which would be true, but he did have some of the right qualities. We would never get along though. It was what he deserved. My thoughts were jumbled fighting each other.

I suddenly stood up. If I was going to do this I had to do it now before I changed my mind.

~~

I jumped to the high rock, and paused for a moment before I yowled.

“Let all cats old enough to catch their won prey join beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting.” I watched as my clan gathered. I searched their faces wondering what mine looked like at this moment. Then my eyes met Wolffang’s I turned away ashamed that I couldn’t meet them.

“Shadowpelt” The beautiful sleek she cat stepped up.

“Is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?” I asked my voice growing stronger with every word.

“It is”

“Your clan honours you and all the service you have given us, I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest.” I laid my tail on her shoulder. As we touched a shiver ran through me. What was I doing? Shadowpelt stepped away and stood by the elders with a sigh of relief and happiness. I sucked in my breath. Everyone was silent.

“I say these words before StarClan and Shadowpelt may they hear and approve my choice. Wolffang will be the next deputy of BushClan.” I held my breath waiting. Every one waited their eyes flicking between Wolffang and me.

Oddkit:

Oddkit looked up at the silver cat next to her, whose head was held high, like usual. His long tail was ended in fawn and black, wrapped around his front paw. Wolffang looked down at her, smiling kindly, his black and fawn speckled face relaxing with his bright blue eyes as he slowly looked away. She smiled softly as Shadowpelt was inducted into the elders den, her moons and moons of service finally over. "-before StarClan and Shadowpelt," Oddkit diverted her attention back to Cinderstar, ceasing her staring at the tall tom beside her, whom she had to turn her head skywards to see, "may they hear and approve my choice. Wolffang will be the next deputy of BushClan."

In seconds Oddkit felt Wolffang tense beside her, his fur bristling. Everyone was staring at him. The corner of his mouth turned up to snarl, but he surprisingly turned it to a forced smile. He trudged up to the high rock, sitting down gracefully beneath it, his tail curling around his silver feet again, blue eyes looking out to the clan.

"Do you accept your position, Wolffang?" Cinderstar questioned, looking down at the tricolored cat. Wolffang looked up at the she-cat, his eyes filled with unknown emotion.

"I do, I'll serve my clan to the best of my ability" he forced, voice rough, forced and full of emotion.

"Then Bushclan, I present to you your new deputy, Wolffang!" After almost all cats yowled their agreement, Rainstorm stood up.

"But he can't be deputy! He hasn't had an apprentice yet!" Rainstorm howled, anger radiating.
