Okay, I know a few people who will join later. We can welcome in the stragglers later. Anywho, let's start!
Jake
I quickly stuck my key into the ignition, grateful to finally be out of the house. Seriously, I didn't know if I would be able to watch another episode of Days of Our Lives with my mom crying over a playboy.
I clicked the button, taking the top of the convertible off so I could feel the summer air in my hair. Ah, I loved summer. It was warm, sunny, and so care-free. I quickly backed out of the driveway, heading towards Jolly's Ice Cream Parlour. It was a fun place that kids from my high school always met up at. There was bound to be someone there, it was summer afterall. People would want to cool off.
(So, anyone wanna meet Jake?)
Lilith
I walked through the park, glancing at couples taking an afternoon stroll. I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy in my heart. I would have been like that, if it hadn't of been for my best friend...she stole everything from me.
Suddenly I was taken from my thoughts by a sniffling sound. I turned, seeing a girl huddled up on a bench. I walked over to the bench and sat next to her. "Are you okay?" I asked, a concerned mask on my face.
She looked at me with red, puffy eyes. She couldn't have been more than fourteen. She wiped away her tears quickly. "Yeah...I mean, you wouldn't understand."
"Try me," I said.
"Well, I really like this guy...like insanely like this guy. And...today he asked my best friend out."
I gasped, a fake of course. This same thing had happened to me...I had found my new target.
"Yeah, and she...she said no though."
"Well, she's a good friend."
"Yeah, but I still...I still can't help but feel jealous! Its so hard. My mom says I'm very envious."
I was careful that she wouldn't see my lips curving into a smile and forced them into a frown. "Of course you aren't. I mean, not as envious as some people."
"Like who?"
"Oh a lot of people. But being envious of course, isn't a bad thing."
"But its...its a sin."
"Who says?" I grinned, my blue eyes flickering.
