Allison:

I rubbed my arm, making a face at the boys. They laughed and started rolling around on the floor screaming about the pain. I started laughing, forgetting all about the needles.

"What the hell?" Paige asked, staring at them. I just started giggling.

"They're overreacting, Paige," I told her and went to sit down. Mr Stewart was heading for the nurse... "Oooohh. Watch this!" I said and pointed towards Xavier and the other teacher.

Xavier:

I sat down on the bench on the stage and watched the nurse come over with a needle. I wasn't too keen on needles but I didn't stop her. I rolled up my sleeve and then felt a tiny prick... Now, it was done.

I rubbed my arm and got up, watching Ethan. He was smiling the whole time... Oh lovely.

Just a note, all Pagie's flashbacks are in italics.

Paige

The nurse comes over with a needle. I know whats going to happen before it does. I only have a spit second warning.

"Where's mom?" I ask the nurse.

"Should we tell her?" A nurse asks.

My nurse shrugs, "She seems to be doing fine."

A doctor comes over to me. "Paige, your parents are dead." I go numb. I can't think. I can't move. There is no way they are dead. It's not possible.

The nurse come over to me. I realize I am crying. "I haven't even given you the shot yet and yer already crying?" She asks.

"Sorry, just certain stuff brings back memories." I say. She nodds like she know, but she doesn't, she never will. She gives me the shot.

As soon as I am up, Alison comes over to me.

"Are you okay?" She asks.

"Its, uh, a long story. Just bad memories." I say, faking a smile. "But this is the presents, now isn't it? We can't go back, just gotta keep moving."

"Yeah, your right about that."

"Come on, lets go see if any of the boys cry getting their shot. Oh, wait." I say, taking a piece of chocolate out of my bag, "Give this to a boy right before he gets his shot. Its so sour, his eyes will water lie crazy."

Andromeda (Andie) Hendrix

My turn came, and I stood there waiting patiently for the shots, but for a while, they didn't come. "Come on, nurse-people. What'ya waiting for?" I asked.

"You, to stop jittering," she answered. Finally, she got someone else to come and hold my arm still so she could administer the vaccines.

I wasn't a fan of injections, but I didn't hate them. If I had to get them, I just hummed a song in my head (probably why I was jittering) and waited for it to be over.

"Alright, Sweetie, you're done."

Before she could put the Band-Aid on, I bolted out the door, heading for the pool. I started taking my clothes off to reveal the bikini I had on underneath, and when I got to the pool I flopped right into it. "Mmm," I sighed, feeling the cool water soothe my body, and I was content to calmly float on my back for a while. I saw some people stare at me in shock, but they didn't know about the calming power a swimming pool had on me.

Oli

"Oli please calm down!" Lily yelled at me trying to get me to sit still on a chair to have the injection. I was rolling around on the floor, laughing like I always did when I was terrified. Mr Stewart walked over and laughed.

"What did you put in that lasagne?" He joked. Lily smiled a little.

"It's not funny!" I yelled grasping my arm. "I hate needles!"

Lily knelt down beside me. "It will only take five seconds, please Oli cooperate for just that long. You can stay on the floor if you like, but you need to sit up."

I shook my head viciously.

"For me?" Lily whispered in my ear.

"Ok!" I said sitting up. Mr Stewart looked shocked at my sudden cooperation. The nurse walked over with the needle. I gulped. Lily held me steady and I felt a tiny prick in my arm.

"There, it's all over." Lily said helping me up. I was shaking but otherwise I was alright. I saw Allison laughing over in a corner, Paige was there but she was just looking on understandingly, I wondered what had happened to her. I had seen her crying before they even picked up the needle, was she scared of them like me? Or was there something deeper?

I am going on holiday for a week, I will be back next Saturday but I won't be able to post for a week. The plot is as follows:
They have just had their vaccinations. Tommorow they set off in two jeeps to the actual village. Along the way they see things such as safari animals and the like.
They are introduced to the village and shown their tents that they will be living in for most of the stay. The next day they begin laying the foundations for the main building project (building a school). That will consume quite a few days but they won't finish it before they take a break to go on a three day safari.

That should keep you going for a week, if you run out of plot just flower out your posts and get to know the locals people or they could get to see a lion up close because it had to be stunned and given a health check. Use your imagination.

Good Luck
