@AstralHunter the Bartimeus series? Yeah, I planned to read it at some point. I will though. I really, freakin' will.
Also, uhh... Thanks...? Did not expect SB characters to be involved here. I'll be sure to inform Twinkiel of that, lol.

But uh, as for a good character, I'll go for either The Mask (from the comics, that is) or Gilgamesh from Fate/Zero or Fate/Stay Night.
The first one because of how chaotic he is - and also because of the references he makes despite being a bloodthirsty killer - and the second because everyone on the planet is a mongrel except him, lol.
"Is there a limit to how much living I can live with my life? How will I know if I've gone too far?
And why did I spend my life savings on sunglasses for a whale?
I shall find the answers... to these questions."

Magestorrow's character Schadel from The Restaurant at the End of the Universes
Not only is he interesting enough that Magestorrow and I ran a two-player RPG for at least a page, but he's a well written, interesting character!

First off, thanks @FallWolf! Wink, @FallWolf's character that has shown in several roleplays I participate in, is pretty awesome. She's a really interesting character that works well with me. I love roleplaying when she's involved.

Ziafar, written by @TheSilverFox in Mana
Connor, written by @AstralHunter in Pokebook VI
Saul, written by @chibibo, Camille, written by @Nutty, Alexis, written by @Sheyren, Nathan, written by @TheSilverFox, and Jasmine, written in the future by @Rosendorn in Pokebook.

That's right. Pokebook's cast rocks. BOOM.

@Wolfical's Peter Lacy in the Feudal SB is great

ALSO ALL these peeps in Skies of Nebulae are super rad: Korena (@Sheytato), Gavi (@ajruby12), Ceres (@MJTucker)!!

ALSO @Lumi's Darian in Valley of Unending Night is super cool and even tho he's passed out like 3 times b/c pain he's great (save him)

I just reread Pippy Longstockings from decades (take the 's' off and it's a more realistic number) ago and ... well ... I guess kids books can have good characters :)

Miyavi by @Tortwag had the most immediate character depth I've seen in the SB section to date.

Sephtis by @AstralHunter has yet to join Aether's main scenario, yet his agony fits the tone flawlessly from a single post.

Astrid by @Rydia is the perfect internal conflict to represent a mirror effect between the disasters and conflicts going on in Mana's story.

@CoffeeCat's writing of Volody from V is a flawless grasp, and it makes me crave more of her voice of writing.

@ScarlettFire's portrayal of Aracelis in Fireheart pushes the plot along more than any other character (and I mean more than you know who.) #MoreAce

@FalconryGirl9086 as Branwen Blackthorne in Curse of the Wyvern (Complete) is positively brilliant with internal conflict and hazard.

@Lumi's character Malek from Fireheart has such depth that he outshines (sometimes literally) everyone he interacts with. He has single-handedly fashioned his birthplace into such a distinct environment, and we haven't even been there yet.

@AllisontheWriter has Midori in two different storybooks, and her form of innocence is quite amazing. It's a pleasure to have Midori grace her presence in any Storybook, honestly.

The SB died ages ago but hey, late praise is better than none.

@Rydia, I had a real great time playing with Admiral Dunagan. He had a fun personality, and his stories were always interesting. Thanks for a good time. :)

Thanks @SirenCymbaline! Leslie was a darling as well, it's a shame we didn't get a chance to see where their story would have ended up but I thoroughly enjoyed writing with you!

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: @Lael’s Kaia in The Outlands is such an interesting character to see interact with others and to watch her grow.

But then again, everyone’s characters in that SB are wonderful. ^^
