Sylph
As Rowan arrived, Sylph felt the anticipation from that morning mounting. Ever since Ember's message, delivered by bluebird, had come with the instructions to meet at Malinda's portal to Aerolite, Sylph had wondered what was going on. They were only called to meetings like these by Ember when there was something urgent to discuss about the Government or the humans, and Sylph hadn't heard anything alarming lately about either faction.
Sylph started as Reed suddenly appeared from the lake. A sharp cry of surprise had left her mouth, something that might have been called a shriek. Instantly cranky with herself for being so easily startled, she shuffled moodily away from Reed and sat on the other side of Aspen and Rowan.
As Malinda came out of the cabin and sat by the lakeside, Sylph nodded respectfully at her. It wasn't necessarily an easy job, guarding the portal. There were always nosy no-gooders trespassing around.
Bored and anxious to know what was going on, Sylph asked aloud of no one in particular, "So, what's going on with the humans? Or is it the Government we're here about?"
