Else, can change density
The new day came too quickly, and we had to pack up and move on. Aron had already gone ahead, to make sure it was safe to go ahead. He ran back to camp and gave the thumbs up. Sam had already taken down everything and compressed it, so we began to move. The Sam's had hummed the whole time, getting Pachelbel's canon stuck in my head.
My powers didn’t help much in the packing and moving process, but I was a valuable resource to find water. I could sink into the ground, and Nick could pull the water up.
Step Step Step. At dusk we stopped.
“Water, Else.” Nick said. I slid below ground. This time I was lucky. Water was only a few feet down. I rushed back up to the surface.
“About ten feet down, slightly northeast. Some contamination problems. Have Oliver grow use some barley to decontaminate the water.” I said.
“Oliver!” I shouted, he ran up.
“Yes,” he said, in his quiet way.
“I need some barley, just about a foot long strip.” Nick said. He nodded. Then out of the ground burst a small, rapidly growing plant. It stopped, and I picked it.
“Thanks,” Nick said. I nodded. Nick brought the water from the ground and I dropped the barley into it. Instantly the reddish hint began to fade.
“Water!” I called, and everyone ran for their fair share of the drink.
