Else

I wake up, Juliette is gone. and it is all my fault.

I try to keep the guilt off my face as I go to see Nick to ask what I can do to help.

"Good morning." I say cheerfully.

"Hey!" He said.

"So, is there any way I can help with Juliette."

"Actually me and Aron were going to go see if we could ask her to come back. If you came she might get upset, though."

"Oh," I said, "Well then let me write a quick note to her." I got a piece of paper and wrote:

Juliette,

I am sorry, I didn't know you liked Nick to. But ti is to late to go back now. Please come back to the circus. Otherwise there is a 101% chance those tigers will eat me. And this may shock you, but I actually don't want to be eaten. and I know Nick wants you back, even as if just a friend. You are really important to him. just be happy being friends.

Else

I had Nick to thank for teaching me to read and write. I folded the letter and handed it to him

"Give this to her." I said.

He read it, then smiled. "I hope I can stay friends with her." He said.

"I hope so too."

I had no idea how Juliette would take the letter, but I really hoped she would take it well.

Eden Psychic Telekinetic

I had only taken a few steps out of Charlie's tent when common sense hit me like a wave, guilt traveling along with it. I acted like a teenager and got angry and Charlie for what he had done, crashing me into the table I mean. When, in fact, it was my fault, I had pushed him, but for what? There was some reason behind it, I just couldn't think of it for a moment. Although I have to admit his response took me by surprise. Huh? Funny, taking a psychic by surprise.

I went back into the tent, Charlie stared at me in confusion and shock. "Eden.." He started, until I cut him off.

"I'm sorry." I apologized, his eyes went wide. "Is this a joke?" He breathed in astonishment.

"No, I pushed you and I shouldn't have..." This time he cut me off. "Eden, I threw you against the table..."

"And I pushed you." He was about to say something else, until I continued, not letting him.

"THe point is, I'm not mad at you, the reason I ran was because..." I started catching myself, a little to late.

"Because of what?" He questioned, stepping towards me cautiously. I took a deep breath, figuring that out myself. "Because you caught me of guard and that scared me, so I ran. I ran because I was scared."

"You should be scared of me." Charlie breathed, a swell of frustration began in my chest. "I'm not scared of YOU, I was scared because I lost control, and when you lost control it reminded me of what I could do." I explained, just then a pice of splintered table shot towards Charlie, who dodged it luckily, stopping it before it could tear the fabric of the tent.

"Like that! I'm sorry I didn't mean too!" Just then Charlie's hands went gently around my wrist.

"Eden, just calm down." He said, I took a deep breath controlling the ability. "How's that? Better?" He asked. I looked at him and nodded.

Juliette

I woke up refreshed and ready to head to the airport. I didn't know how much the ticket was but I wanted to head to Norway. There were supposedly many charmed and animators there so both sides of me would be happy. Though for some reason, I felt strange inside, like the bad side of me was gone or had merged with me, the good side. I was just finishing brushing my teeth after my eat-in breakfast from the fridge when a loud knocking was at the door and a voice that hurt me so bad was heard.

"Juliette? Are you there? Come on Juliette! I can just transport me and Aaron inside you know, it would be easier to just open the door" Nick called. I ignored him, my mind racing for some sort of excuse.

"I'm..I'm not decent! I just got out of the shower so you can't come in!" I yelled, pleased with my quick thinking.

"Aw come on Julie, we all know that you didn't just come out of the shower, you only shower at night." Aaron said teasingly. Ugh. I walked subconsciously towards the door and put my head against it.

"What do you want anyway! I left Nick! I'm not coming back!" I yelled through the door.

"That's it, we're coming in!" Nick yelled. There was a whoosh of air and there he was standing there, a slight grin upon the face that broke my heart.

"Yeah, you sure did just come out of the shower" Aaron said looking towards the bottle of coke and what seemed like hundreds of wrappers of chocolate bars, MTV blaring in the backround. Huh convienint, Heartbreaker was going on. I turned away from them and began to throw all the wrappers in the garbage.

"Jules, you have to come back, everyone misses you, Eden, Eve, Charlie, Else everyone" Nick said. I winced at the last name. Aaron excused himself and went to the bathroom.

"I-I can't Nick. I can't watch you and", I swallowed hard, "Else prance around like the couple of happy teens you are, I just can't,". Nick blushed as red as his amazing hair then went into his pocket and passed me a letter.

Juliette,

I am sorry, I didn't know you liked Nick to. But ti is to late to go back now. Please come back to the circus. Otherwise there is a 101% chance those tigers will eat me. It was pretty rude that she said that pretty much the only reason that she wanted me back was so that she doesn't get eaten by the lions. And what? Who is she to decide that I should just be friends with Nick. She doesn't love him like I do.

"Everyone misses you Jules, everyone. I'm really sorry about what happened between me and you. As you saw, so is Else. She didn't know Jules" Nick whispered, the nickname that only he was allowed to use now seemed foreign and wrong on his tongue. I looked up into his eyes, amazing that me the charmer could be so charmed by this boy.

"This is exactly it Nick. You just keep doing it to me. I'm so-so charmed by you. I'm in such deep love with you everything would just be too akward Nick. I'm really sorry, Else will have to do without me with the lions." I said a bit sarcastic at the end. He just stood there silent for a moment before leaning over and kissing me on the lips.
We stood there kissing for some time before common sense and my conscious came in. I pushed him away tears flowing like the Niagra Falls down my face, a small sob stifling out.

"Nick, I'm not going to...I won't let you..Else..I won't help you cheat on Else Nick. Go back to her. She deserves you." I said before grabbing my half filled bag and running out of the motel room, trying to wipe the tears from my eyes.

I left Nick standing there a letter in his hand. I left Nick standing there a single tear slowly making it's way down his face.

Nick, teleporter,

I'm in shock. Girls! Why does this happen? One minute, I'm being all happy with Else. Then, of all people, Kili comes out of nowhere and snogs me. Now, I'm kissing Jules-Juliette, because...because, well, I don't know why.
I just want her to come back, so we can all be one big happy family again, the way it was supposed to be. And now...now she was gone. I don't even try to control the tears streaming down my face. Aron puts a consoling hand on my shoulder.

"We'll get her back, Nick. We have to,"

I sniff, wiping my nose, "That's exactly it though, isn't it? She really doesn't want-"

"She's just, I dunno, in shock. It'll wear off, Nick. Come on, man. Think. There's got to be something we can do to persuade her,"

And then it hits me, "The Americans," I whisper.

"What about them?"

"Eden said they were coming undercover. That means they'll appear as civilians, which means that they're either coming by boat or plane. And, judging by the fact that they want us badly, it'll almost certainly be by plane."

"And Juliette is..."

"Going to the airport," I say grimly.

Juliette

They came out of nowhere. I was at security having them check off my ticket when they just appeared with some fancy badges and demanded I come for "inspection". The austrailians of course just handed me over, because I wasn't with the group. They shoved me into a car and began to talk about "DNA testing", "dissection of the experiment" and "DNA splicing", that was when I realized...I needed help. And I needed it fast.

H. Smith

"Sir, we've got one," Burggs spoke confidently over the receiver. "As I speak, she's being transported to a lab where were we will be running some experiments to define her powers."

"Very good, Burrgs," I replied smoothly. "I happen to be on a business trip in Australia right now, and I suppose I'll stop by," I smirked. This was a lie, and Burggs knew it. Who would blame a government official for visiting some other Americans coincidentally in Australia at the same time?

I'll arrive when you do at the location, no doubt. Until then," I hung up abruptly. Nothing could go wrong.

Else

"Eden, what did you see?" I asked.

"You do not want to know." She said.

"Yes, i do, now tell me."

"Nick kissed Juliette."

My heart stopped. Just for a second. He wouldn't do this to me. He couldn't. He wouldn't. But he did.

I go and pack my things, tears streaming down my cheek.

I leave a note for Nick.

Nick,

Don't act like you didn't know I would find out you kissed Juliette. I have a strange feeling this circus doesn't need me anymore. I am going to the American government. Please, please don't come after me. Be happy with Juliette. Oh, and don't kill Charlie for getting me to America. It is not his fault.

I placed the note on his dresser. Then I went to charlie.

"Charlie, could you do me a favor?"

"Uh, sure."

"Put me in Washington D.C."

"No."

"Please...I left something there during a show from a while back."

"Fine, but if I find out you did anything else..."

"I am not."

Then the world went white. And I was standing in front of the capital building of the united states. I slowly walked up the steps, into my certain doom.

Into what could be my death.

Then a limo comes up, and out of it walks Juliette, followed by two of the men in suits.

"Wait, she is one of them!" A guy shouts. I make myself as hard as I can and run strait into the man. It was like I threw a chunk of steel at him. He went out cold. I did the same to the other guy, and he fell beside the other.

"Juliette, run!" I said. We both began to run over the white house lawn, with two guards hot on our trail.

We raced as fast as we could, then found ourselves back at the camp. Eve came up to me.

"Thank god I can read your mind over a distance. You were practically shouting for my help. In my mind, I mean.

"You are a lifesaver." I said gratefully.

Juliette turned to me, "You saved me."

Then from over near my tent I hear Nicks cry of rage, or sadness.

Aron, Tracker ~

"Nick Else is gone" I tell him slowly after her energy signal vanishes.

"What!?" He turns on me.

"She is either dead or has vanished somewhere. She is no where nearby."

"Why would she do this?"

"I'm sorry my friend, but I am not sure. Maybe we can find a clue back at camp" I suggest.

Nick and I head back toward camp and we arrive soon. All seems normal with Maeve and the others practicing their routines seemingly unaware of what is happening.

"The last trace I can find of her is inside your tent."

"thanks Aron" and in seconds Nick is gone from my side. I pick up his signal within his tent and after a few minutes he is gone.

"

Nick, teleporter,

Juliette, and now Else. What have I done? Eve must've seen that I kissed Juliette. Damn! Now what? I teleport to my tent, and then someplace far away, so that Aron stops following my signal. Then I come back to my tent, and sit on my sleeping bag. Before I know what I'm doing, I let out a cry of utter remorse. All of what's happened, all of it, it's all my fault. I put my hands over my eyes. Suddenly, I feel someone putting their hand on my back.

"Please, just go away," I mumble.

"Nick, its us," whispers a familiar voice. I look up, hurriedly wiping my eyes. I stare at the two, Else next to me, and Juliette in the door way. Charlie's there as well.

"I got these two back in the nick of time," he says, smiling.

"The Americans, they had us," says Juliette quietly, "But Eve saw, and Charlie got us out. They've got others like us, Nick! They're doing experiments on them. I think they're trying to make a bioweapon."

Lt. Burggs,

Dreading the call that I'm about to make, I punch in Smith's number on my phone.

"Smith speaking," comes the cold, clipped tones of my superior.

"This is Lt. Burggs, sir," I say.

"Yes, I know. What is it?"

"Well, we, that is to say, our unit in Washington, D.C. let the...let the freaks escape."

"You WHAT?!"

"Not me," I say defensively, "And they, uh, they let the freaks escape."

"Burggs, if you say that again, I swear I'll have you killed. Find them! And for your sake, lets hope you succeed this time."

"Yes, sir," I reply, miserably.

Else

"I have to help them." I told Nick when the others left.

"Not a chance." He replied.

"But Nick, they could do so much for us. They could tell us what the government does and we could better avoid them."

"No."

"Nick, please, please, please, please, please."

"No."

"Is that all your going to say?"

"No." I felt like slapping him. But instead I do the opposite. I sit down beside him and put my head on his shoulders.

"Please."

"No."

"But I rescued Juliette."

"Save your breath Else."

He was so blind sometimes. He was so selfish. Those poor people, locked away forever.

"What happened to your promise?" He asked.

"I guess I have to postpone it."

"Else, do you know how badly I would be hurt if you died."

I thought for a minute, "Fine, I won't go. But this isn't just about me Nick."

"I know." He said, then leaned over to kiss me.

Juliette

I was litterally disgusted and repulsed by Nick and Else proclaiming there love for each other. I thought I knew what heartbreak was, ha...I never knew that pain until Nick and Else decided to kiss in front of me. They looked so happy and at peace. My shoulders dropped all the happiness I had gone, I quietly walked out as the two love birds sat making out. I went to my tent and just sat there, not crying-all my tears had gone-but just sitting there. I decided to animate three sticks and have a bit of fun.

The three sticks were conviently named Alse, Niko and Julia. Niko jumped over to Julia and the top of the sticks kissed. Then Niko jumped over to Alse and stayed with her. Julia fell over unanimated.

God, I'm so pathetic. What am I doing here anyway? I'm only going to get more hurt. I should just thank Else and leave.

Aron, tracker ~

I could tell Juliette was completely crushed. She was just sitting there alone outside Nicks tent looking so sad and a little bit out of it. Her expression was as if the color in the world was gone and she didn't care.

I felt really bad and I felt as if I shared her pain. Deciding it was for the better I walked up behind her and sat down next to her.

I try to be confident and reassuring, "Are you ok?"

She doesn't respond to my question. I put my arm around her and give her a reassuring squeeze. "Do you want to talk about it?" I ask.

Charlie: Empath

It was pretty clear that Else was one of those people that would never let other people go into danger but would through her self into harms way in an instant. Juliette was going to leave again, Eden had seen it. I'd been thinking about going and trying to talk her out of it all day. To be honest though I didn't really know her that well. I looked across at Aron and realised something.

"you could go talk Juliette out of leaving" I said and Aron looked up.

"what?" he said.

"well you know, she wants the Nick but she might settle for the Aron" I said jokingly and Aron punched me in the arm.

"Fine but the second she starts getting all Why did Nick do this to me oh Else a bitch and a slut, I'm leaving her to leave, if you know what I mean" Aron said and walked off.

"It's not fair, all those people in the labs, the government working on them, doing god knows what" Eve said, Eve and Eden were both sitting across from be on a picnic table.

"I bet we could get them out" I said bordley wiping dust off the table.

"what do you mean" Eden said.

"think about it me and you both have telekeninsis, we could go in their and tear the place apart, I mean no offence and don't tell Else I said this but if that air head can save some one from their surely we can" I said and Eden shook her head.

"she's not an airhead, she's just you know dealing with the situation" Eden said staring me down.

"what situation she got a hot boyfriend she found her mum and she can make sure Nick doesn't forget about her by disappearing all the time" I said, Eden shook her head again.

"it's more complicated than that" Eden said, I just nodded my head sarcastically.

Else

I heard them talking about me. The pain ripped through me, but I didn't care. I wasn't going to leave. I couldn't run. Running did nothing. So I went up to Juliette.

"Juliette, you can have Nick. I should have known I was playing an unfair game. I didn't give you a chance."

I saw the light flash into her eyes, "Do you mean it?"

"Yes." I said. Aron looked at me.

"Else, don't you think you should just let Nick decide who he wants and get over it?" Aron said. I nodded.

"Good point. Juliette, lets go ask Nicks opinion. This needs to be settled fair and square."

We both walk into Nick's tent.

I say, "Nick, this thing between me and Juliette has gone to far. You need to pick one of us. The other is just going to have to deal with it. No stalling, just pick."

Nick, teleporter,

Well, it was true. I felt bad for the Misfits in the American labs, but I felt even more strongly about not leading my family into danger. As I kiss Else, I try not to think about these things, for once. Deep down, I know that refusing to help those poor kids is wrong, but I push that feeling away. Else breaks the kiss.

"You know, Nick, you probably shouldn't have done that with Juliette in the tent."

I blush, "Yeah...you're right."

"And you sound really selfish refusing to help-"

"I KNOW Else," I say, the frustration evident in my voice, "It's just, I don't want any of you getting hurt!"

"Who said that we'd even have to get hurt? You teleport us there, we grab the kids, and teleport out."

"It won't be that simple, Else. They've probably figured out by now that teleporters can't use their power in, around, or on titanium. So it's likely that they'll have used titanium to build all of their stuff."

"Oh, I hadn't thought of that,"

Kili, controls emotions,

Gun-Zack is still in my pocket, but I know what to do about him. I pretend that I'm walking towards Charlie, when I suddenly scoot into my tent, pick up the iron box I keep my stuff in, and thrust Zack inside. The gun goes off with a muffled bang, which alerts Aron, Charlie, Eden, and Eve.

"Kili?" comes Aron's suspicious voice, "What did you do?"

"Nothing," I reply airily, "I just shut the lid to my box a little bit to quickly!"

"Whatever,"

I ignore him, and start speaking to Zack quietly through the box.

"You're gonna help me, Zack, whether you like it or not. I've got a plan. It'll help both of us get rid of the annoying people that we currently live with. Sound good?"

The gun rattles.

"I'll take that as a yes. Okay, so here's the plan: we contact the Americans, but make sure that they can't find us. Then, we go with the Americans, keeping them at bay, and making sure that the same Americans tell Nick and the others that they kidnapped us, which will, I hope, lure them right into the American's hands, while we remain safe."

The gun rattles again.

"I'm going to let you out now, Zack. I know you've got no more bullets, so if you try any funny business, it'll be the worse for you."

I open the lid to the box, and Zack comes out of the gun.

"Okay," he grumbles, "But how can we make sure that they Americans don't start experimenting on us, too?"

"Zack. We've got powers. They don't. Simple as that."
