hi, new here

Hi.
I'm Ashes, new to this kind of thing. YWS was the first writers site that poped up so I decided to check it out. Seems like a very friendly place. It feels very strange to use english again last time was about 3 years ago, when I had my last English-lesson in school. I'm live in Sweden so English is not my mothertongue, but I read a lot of English literature. My own writings has never been finished or even properly begun, but it's time to change that now.

Hi Ashes Welcome to YWS. Your English seems like it's just fine, judging by your post So I don't think you have that big of a problem. Like Kamas said there are people from all around the world on the site and lots of them will be willing to help you if you have any questions about the English . I'm sure you'll love it here *hands a welcome cookie*. There is also a chat room where you can talk to people.

I don't think I've met anyone from Sweden on here yet so I'm super excited! Your English is really good! I never would have guessed that it isn't your first language if you hadn't mentioned it.
I wish I could speak another language. I'm taking French in school but I'm not very good at it. :S

Anyway...
If you could hang out with one band/singer for a day who would you choose? If you could meet one author and talk to them about anything for an hour, who would you meet? What's your favorite movie? If you could have any super power, what would you choose and why?

Oy, yes! YWS has a large international community! And I admire your tenacity to learn English... I know a bit of Spanish, but it still terrifies me to use it. It's awesome that you're so persistent with English.

I have never heard someone use the phrase mothertounge-- its so charming, i do believe that's my new favorite word.
If you haven't already guessed from these posts, we're very newbie-friendly. I can say from personal experience that YWS has a great community of very supportive members; these are the lovely people that motivated me into finishing my writing pieces and even writing a very weak, very atrocious novel.
So here's hoping it helps you as much as it helped me.
