Hi...Um, yeah. I'm supposed to be introducing myself. I'm Samantha, but please call me Sammy because the only people that ever call me Samantha are teachers, and only when I'm in trouble. I've been writing for as long as I can remember. So probably since I could recite the ABCs. I'm here largely because I have a phobia of people reading my work, so I post it on sites like this where I don't know anyone. Just sent off my first manuscript. *Crosses fingers*

Wow, y'all ask a lot of questions. I just checked back. Um..yeah, questions. I don't have a favorite book, but I find intense enjoyment in novels from the earlier 1900s. I especially love The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath. Favorite movie would be Silence of the Lambs. Prefers rain. I like Saturday best (no big surprise there). I typically write more along the lines of the macabre, especially horror-esque stories. I don't like the fairy tales in the Brothers Grimm sense, but I do like reading mythology and legends, especially those of the Scandinavians and Greek. Favorite color is usually gray, sometimes blue or black. It depends on my mood.

Whoa! How cool. Novels from the 1990s. Wonderfuuul!

Aw, do you not like questions? I know it's a little overwhelming but I'm going to warn you there are probably more to come . I've looked at your story Momento Mori, I'll review it soon, but from what I read of it so far it's a very good first post . Do you like Flyleaf? I'm just wondering because I love them and that's what attracted me to your story the title Momento Mori is a Flyleaf album. Just wondering I may be wrong . See you around.

Sammy! What a great name! I'm Mary, or Wiggy, whichever you prefer, (I also answer to You! Yo! Sup? and more along the same general lines ). Sammy reminds me of Finding Nemo. I know it has nothing to do with Finding Nemo, but I love that movie, therefore, I like you, and I also like Disney. Do you like Disney?

(P.S. Cinderella rocks my socks. Princess and the Frog is also awesome. You should go see it!! If you haven't, that is. )

Wigs

Ah, questions are fine, but there sure are a lot of them. Okay--peanut19, I do like Flyleaf, but I don't have the new album yet. I picked the title memento mori because it's this old Latin saying that means "remember, you must die." I thought it was appropriate.
Elinor Brynn--I speak enough French to say hello, goodbye, how much does this cost, and 'No, I don't speak french.' My novel is pretty much about life after death, like a sort of modern day Dante's Inferno.
Wiggy--Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...Dory crack me up. Disney is my guilty pleasure, (Shh...don't tell anyone. I have a reputation to maintain) Chocolate is my favorite food ever. I love it. I would want to go to New York City. I don't speak Russian, but occasionally random people walk up to me and start speaking to me in Russian. That's happened three times, four if you include the time in the airport bathroom, which I'm not going to elaborate on. Jane Austen is okay, but she's not a favorite.

Eek! Submitting manuscripts is always so nerve-wracking! I've done a couple of query letters, and my stomach always sinks when I get a letter back. It's awful!

ALSO. If you live in California, I'm totally like... twenty minutes away from you. Yep. Kind of creepy, actually... O_o But no worries! I just find it really amusing!
