Hi my name is Myesha and I'm new to YWS and I'm liking it so far. I have been writing every since I was like, 6 or 8 years old. If you want, add me and feel free to read my stories and tell me what I've done wrong/what I need to do. It finally feels good to see what others think about my writing other than friends and family. Thank-you for reading.

Hi Myesha, welcome to YWS! I see that you have reviewed once already that's awesome. I bet you want to know the rules, don't worry they are quick and painless.
*no cht spk riters dont like 2 read stuff like dis.NO CAPS IT'S LIKE I'M SHOUTING IT'S NOT COOL!!!???? Too much punctuation isn't good either. We have chat(a good place to hang out and talk) but you must follow these rules there also.
*You must review 3 works for everyone work you post. This is known as the 3:1 ratio. Be sure to tell people how to help them with their story, not just that was awesome good work.
*Be sure to rate your works: E, +12, +15, +18. This is just so people don't stumble upon something they don't need to read. It's like the movies
*Be nice. Don't flame other members, and keep swearing in your stories not using it against someone.
Now I get to play interrogator
What's your favorite genre? What's your favorite pizza topping? Or do you not like pizza? What's your favorite color? What's your favorite car? What do you want to be when you grow up?
PM (private message) me if you have any questions.

Hello Cute and Clumsy! Welcome to YWS! That's cool that you've been writing for so long - so have I. Believe me, YWS is a great place. You should join us in chat sometime! Anyway, here are a few good links that will help you make the most out of the site.
Two excellent posts answering many questions new players may have.
Rules The general rules of the website. In addition to what is listed there, YWS also has a 3:1 ratio, which means you should write 3 reviews for every story that you post.
Anyway, that's all for now, so please PM me if you have any questions!

Hey Clumsy! I'm JustDance, but call me JD! I really like your avatar, very cool. So, you've been writing for quite a while now, I'm assuming? That is good. The more experience you have, the better your writing tends to be (though that's not always necessarily the case). And of course! This is what YWS is all about. Read and Review, to be exact. First let me tell you a bit about the usergroups.
The blues are greeters, the people who usually greet newbies like you. Tell them the rules, and other basic information, making them feel welcomed. The purps jobs are to review, review, and review! Usually they are very good at critiques, and try to help members become better writers, and improve! Junior mods and Global mods are like their names. Usually in charge of a specific part of YWS. These guys are who you can count on for any basic questions. Admins are 'The Boss' in charge. Help run the site and know every nook and secret of it. Distinguished members are usually mods that left the site, or don't come on as much anymore.
So now that we're done with that, I have some questions for you!
Favorite color: Favorite food: What do you want to be when you grow up?: Favorite singer: Favorite movie: Favorite song:
PM me anytime for any questions, or just a good chat! See you! -JD
Hiya Myesha, and welcome, welcome, welcome to YWS! I believe we have already met and I'm glad you took my advice!
So, here on YWS there are *loads* of fun things to do besides writing. Here are a few:
There are blogs where you can make your own, or if you'd like make you can view other blogs and comment on theirs. Just click 'Blogs' in the header to get there.
Chat is a great way to make new friends! You can talk about writing, reading, randomness, pretty much anything! You can get there by going to the YWS homepage. Just be sure to check out the chat rules first before venturing off there.
Groups are a lot of fun, too! You can make a new group or you can join a few. There are some popular ones, like the Debate Group and Double Trouble Writing Huddle that you might be interested in. You can get there by clicking 'Groups' in the header.
Well, I see JD and peanut have left some good questions, so I think I'm done here.
Have a question? Want a review? PM me and I'll be happy to help!

Got YWS?
You judge others upon their actions, but you judge yourself by your intention.
Yay! People who write since they were six or eight generally are awesome writers, and I'm sure you're no exception. It'll be nice to read your work!
What sort of writing projects are you working on now? And what genre did you start with? When I was younger, I used to write these epic stories that mainly starred my stuffed animals, which I guess is more of the fantasy genre, lol. And I've moved on to sci fi. So what was it like for you?

Hey there Myesha. I love your avatar, I think it rocks. Seems like everyone has asked you some great questions, but I think a very important one has been overlooked. If you were ice cream, what flavor would you be and why? Hope you have fun here on YWS.
I am not addicted to reading, I can quit as soon as I finish one more chapter.
Wow! I haven't been writing that long... By the way, is that you in the picture? You're pretty! I'm so excited to see some of your new pieces and help you become a better writer (if that's possible, you wouldn't need any help from me!) I hope you enjoy the site, and feel free to add/PM me if you have any questions or need a friend. Don't forget to chack out the chat room!
