Kama's Photography Exhibition - [Updated Jan 16, 2010]

Papa Kamas got me some lovely flowers Made my week.
I took pictures because they're absolutely gorgeous, and lighting was just right.
It's by my window so you see some little black flaps, but whatever, I'm too in love with these flowers to care













This one has to be my favorite

Hi Kammie . I have to say I love this pictures. I don't really know much about taking pictures but I love the angles you chose to use. I think they really emphasize the beautiful petals of the flowers. I have to say that the first one is my favorite. The lighting is beautiful. I know that was no help but they are really good pictures.

Kammie, I love these. A ton. It's making me want to go get flowers and take pictures of them till...till I get bored. The lighting on these is really wonderful, Kammster. Ah, nicknames...
Anyways, I do think the black is a little distracting. Just a little reminder. But the lighting on these is what makes me think 'wow, great photos'. Keep it up, Kammie!

so I don't know much abut taking pictures, I take them but I'm pretty much an amateur, but here I go.
I loved the colors, I loved how the colors are portrayed perfectly except for the first picture in which the color was little less.
Your angels, I like your angles in most of the pictures. In your third picture, I think you have got to take care of your focal point, or is just me because I don't know if it's the stem or the flowers.
My favorite is by flower the fifth picture, is the one I consider has the best angle, the best colors and a good focal point.
I like the sixth one also. The colors are good and the way the flowers are arranged is beautiful. But this bright light in the corner of the right grabs my attention more than the flowers do.
So that's all I can say.
Great pictures, you're definitely talented.

Wow, Kamas. These are absolutely beautiful. Seriously, they look professional. You've inspired me, now that I've got my own camera for Christmas. Anyway, onto the review! I only had problems with the first and second photos.


First Photo: I like it, but the angle from which it was shot gives the flowers a stretched out, sort of droopy look. The flowers look dead in a way, and I think it clashes with the whole professionalism. On a positive note, I really liked the softness of the background.

Second Photo: This one is better, but I think you had a little too much of the other flower in the photo. I think it would have been a little better if you showed it less, because that way it's sort of in the distance and it doesn't look out of place.

Kamas, again, you're amazing photographer, and don't ever stop snapping pictures. I love what you were able to do with just one vase of flowers. It just goes to show that a little goes a long way.

Kamas, I wanted to comment on the earlier knight picture. Were you in California or Florida? There is a medieval place in each of those places, we almost went to one in Florida, just wondering.

The pictures you take are amazing!The branches are so detailed and even though they're just branches they look absolutely beautiful and then the pictures of the horses! I have trouble taking a picture when my dog is walking and you took a picture of four horses in motion! That's pure art.

Wow! Again, amazing.

Pic 1--I liked this one, but maybe the outer edges didn't have to be so faded out or whatever. Beautiful otherwise!

Pic 2--For some reason, even though this one's edges are also faded, I don't think you need to adjust fade! Except for the left side. Oh yeah...the dot pattern was not my fav.

Pic 3--This is absolutely gorgeous! But I would suggest leaving out that pattern in the top right-hand corner. I don't like it there--in my opinion, it keeps this pic from being the best I've ever seen.

Pic 4--I didn't like this one so much. Again, there's that dot pattern thing, but the whole pic's fadier/blurrier than I think it should be.

Pic 5--Now this--this was absolutely amazing! No criticism on this one.

Pic 6--Again, everything's great! Except for the 'black flap' under the center flower.

Excellent job! You should definitely pursue the career of a photographer. In fact, you already could because you're so good, but that's beside the point. Later!

Just a doodle
There isn't any theme or all that, just drawings. Excuse the pinkness of the sheet, it's my light that caused that.

Hey, Kamas! I'll just share my thoughts on this here lovely and pink page. Remember, I can be very persnickety. There's a good chance of more criticism than praise.

Flower Photo #1: Of all of the photos, this is my favorite. The colors are amazing, it's crisp and clear, the lighting couldn't be better, I like how the right flower is slightly in front of the other flower and the background is white... This seriously looks like a professional photo, and I'm not one to say that lightly. Wonderful work.

Flower Photo #2: This one seems too cluttered. The angle is slightly different from the first one, which covers up the left flower more with the right. And to me, zooming in took away the edges and an entire thing to focus on. As in, it's easier to focus on the entire flower than 5/8 of the flower. Make sense? I also like the first color more. This is in between the pink of the first and the pinky-purple of the actual flower, which is... I'm sorry, but I can't explain it. I just don't like it as much.

Flower Photo #3: Whoa. I like the colors and lighting, but this angle is very confusing. That is the only thing that made me bug-eyed when I first saw it. Getting past that, the lighting is very nice and I really love the natural coloring of the flower. But I can't tell which way is up, and it's bugging me.

Flower Photo #4: First off, I love how you can see the texture of the petals. I also like the white background. Solid backgrounds really draw your attention to the focus point. My only con is that my eyes don't have a direct focus point. There's the petal to look at, but there isn't anything that drags my attention to it.

Flower Photo #5: Here's a good one. It's simple, the angle keeps it from being a snapshot, the background isn't complex and you have a nice focal point (the top flower). I have no criticism for this. I still like the first photo better, but this one is great, too.

Flower Photo #6: This is the other one in which I have trouble figuring out which way is up. Even if you intended for these to be sideways, I tilt my head because I like things to be upright. It's interesting, and the lighting giving it that reflective around the edges is beautiful, but because I can't find up, I can't find a focal point. Also, the background is a bit distracting. What is it, anyway?



Doodle: This is amazing. If I had tried to draw like this, it wouldn't have been a doodle, it would have been a four-day art project. This is really beautiful. The parts I like are in the green, and the parts I think wither in comparison are in blue.




I love this. I love it, I love it, I love it. The lines are so clear, the shading so awesome, your style is so clear... Augh! I can't express how beautiful this is! The only parts I didn't like were the microphone, which took me a moment to realize was a microphone, the glasses, which are uneven, the guitar, which could stand to be sharper, and the candle, which has lines that are wavy in an amateur way like the guitar neck. I also circles the rose-thing, but that's just because I didn't get it. The lines are cool and modern, but I'm persnickety. It didn't click when placed with the rest of the doodles.

Your lines are so smooth! Your shading so great! I can't imagine being able to draw like this! Just-- wow. Wow.


Overall: You are really good at art, both in drawing and photography. Your skill puts me in awe, even though I tore your pieces up and spat them out. Don't stop!

the parts I think wither in comparison are in blue.

I think the reason for this would be the pinkish light. There was something in my science book about red, green and blue light affecting colors, I think I slept through that part. Try using pure white light and I'm sure TexanWriter will go even more bananas for it. As is, I understand why Tex went bananas for it in the first place. There is no theme, yes, and this takes away a little edge you could have gained (probably because you meshed and entwined them together with opposing lines, seemingly tying them together) but it turned out very nice anyways.
Please post it again with white light, I'd love to see it! Better yet, try getting hold of a scanner.

An elephant. Yes I know one ear is bigger than the other. It's just a pencil sketch, what do you think so far?

Oh a painting I did for stress relief. It's not very good, but I had lots of fun splattering paint everywhere!
