Kitty

After Ali's confusing speech, I raced up the stairs with Christina, us both diving through the first doorway we saw, laughing. The room had two small beds, a big window, and a few other basic furniture items. Laughing, I jumped on the bed by the door, squealing as Christian tried to push me off. I pushed her back, trying to get her off my new bed. "You get the one by the window!" I shouted in argument. Suddenly she stopped fighting, looking at me curiously instead. "Well, why do you want the one by the door?" I bit my tongue, not willing to tell her the reason. "Kitty..." She said, falsely threatening. I shook my head and she jumped on me, tickling my sides mercilessly. "Ok, ok!" I gasped, wriggling out from under her. "Timmy is next door and the closer to the door I am the closer to him I am." I said in one long breathe. She threw back her head and laughed, sitting on the other bed. "Fine, you silly girl! You get that bed." She giggled, obviously amused at my infatuation. I frowned. "What, don't you like anyone?"

Robert, scientist

Robert sighed and got to his feet. Seth got up next to him and grabbed his arm.

"You don't have to lead me around like a child," he said half-heartedly.

Seth didn't say anything but walked him down the hall behind Ali and to the bathroom door. "You've got two minutes, and if you try to do anything..." He tapped his temple. "I'll know."

Robert walked in, took care of his business, and walked out after washing his hands. Seth took his arm again and led him back to his room. Ali was standing by the door. She handed him a pair of boxers. "I figure you could use an extra pair of underwear at least. Have a good night."

Seth let go and, sparing Ali a disgruntled look, Robert walked through the door. It shut behind him; he heard the key turn in the lock.

He stripped down and flopped onto the bed with a sigh. He could already tell it was going to be a long night.
***

He woke up, clammy and shaking. There was a nagging feeling in the back of his mind that something was wrong.

The scientist pressed the light on his watch to check what time it was. 3:30. Definitely not time to get up.

Aagh, that feeling wouldn't go away. What was wrong? Why couldn't he-

He sat straight up in bed and gasped. Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no, no...

Wait, hadn't he been about to administer the shot when the alarm went off?

The scientist jumped off the bed and began rifling through his clothes. There, in the pocket of his lab coat!

He pulled out a syringe and a vial, hands shaking. He loaded it and stuck the needle in his vein.

Once the plunger was pressed down, he leaned back against the wall with a sigh. How much did he have left? It was difficult to tell, but each dose wasn't much. The vial might have enough in it for a month if he stretched out the periods between doses.

He winced. He was going to have to tell them about this sooner or later. Of course, once he ran out of the serum and his condition worsened, they'd be bound to find out.

**OK. I'm assuming that it's the morning and they're going to start being taught today or something?**

Java - Flight and Inivisiblity

A loud roaring sound came from the bed next to Java and he groaned, hitting his pillow repeatedly. Timmy had been making loud noises the entire night, lying on his back with his mouth open slightly and a small bit of spit dribbling from the corner of his mouth. Java rolled his eyes and threw himself out of the bed. It was a hard thing for him to do, the bed was so comfy, but Java didn't think he could take anymore of Timmy.

Why Ali put us in a room together I don't know, he grumbled to himself while changing out of the fresh pyjamas that Ali had bought him. Java changed into some blue pants that she'd called "jeans" and a simple white shirt.

It was wet today. Java looked outside and saw drops of water pelting against the glass window. He sighed, suddenly everything didn't seem so bright when the "sun" went down. Java settled himself on the big sofa and picked up something from the table next to it. He flipped the thing open and just saw line after line of dark shapes. He flicked through the thing and just found the same thing. Many of the shapes were different, but Java began to recognise some as he looked at more so he figured that there couldn't be many different ones.

Maybe this is what Ali is going to teach us, he supposed as he studied the object with more and more interest.

**Um... what is Java looking at?**

Lyanna - Telekineses

I woke up with a wide yawn, stretching. That bed was much more comfotable than the cot I had gotten in the lab. I got up and changed into some black 'sweat pants' and a navy blue form-fitting t-shirt. Then I pulled some white bags over my feet that Ali had called 'socks'. I went downstairs, half awake, to find Java sitting on the couch, looking at something. I sat down next to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Morning," I yawned.

**A book. It's extremely hard to describe seeing as he doesn't even know what paper is. **

Christina

Liked anyone? Christina didn't even know what that sort of feeling was. "I don't know..." she said. "What does it feel like?"

"Kind of like everything is bubbling around inside you and your happy all the time and stuff," Kitty said with a smile.

Christina laughed. "No, I guess I don't like anyone then."

After talking for a while longer, the two went to bed.

In the morning, Christina woke up before Kitty. She searched through what Ali had called drawers for the clothes she had been bought. She pulled on a pair of "jeans" and looked for a shirt.

After trying to pull several different shirts over head, all of which got stuck on her wings, Christina was nearly in tears.

"Ali!" she cried, waking Kitty in the process.

"What is it!?" Kitty and Ali shouted at the same time.

"I fell asleep in the clothes I was already wearing and none of the new shirts fit!" she cried, tears streaming down her face. "What am I going to do?"

Ali thought for a minute, and left the room. She returned with something pointy in her hands (scissors) and grabbed shirts from Christina's drawers one at a time. She tore slits in the backs of all the shirts one at a time.

"Here," she said. "You should have no problem now."

Christina pulled on a light blue "t-shirt" and was able to fit her wings through the slits perfectly. "Thank you, Ali!" she said, throwing her arms around Ali's neck. "You're the best!"

She then skipped out of the room and down the stairs to see who else was awake.

Seth

Luckily Seth had managed to secure a room that he didn't have to share with anyone. He slept soundly for the first time in a while. For the first time since he could remember, he felt safe.

When he woke up in the morning he searched through the small room attatched to his that Ali told him was a closet. He grabbed a pair of black colored pants called jeans and pulled them on.

"What else should I wear..." he mumbled. He had never had the problem of choosing clothes before. As a prisoner he had been given sack-like, plain brown clothing to wear. Now he had options.

He finally settled on a dark blue button down shirt. He rolled the sleeves up to his elbows and examined himself in what he had been told was a "mirror".

The floor was cool under his barefeet as he walked down the hallway. It felt good, he was glad he hadn't put on shoes.

Several others were already downstairs, including Christina. She laughed when she saw him. "We're wearing the same color!" she said.

She was right, of course her shirt was light blue and his was dark. "Twin telepathy," he joked.

Christina waved him over to the couch she was sitting on and he joined her. Everyone already there was just sitting around. No one was sure what they were supposed to do next.

Java - Flight and Invisibility

"Hey!" He replied excitedly to Lyanna, grabbing her hand and pulling her round so that she sat next to him. He curled his free arm round her waist and pointed happily to the object in his hand. The whole object was plit into tiny, thin parts which all had the same small dark shapes in them. Line after line of small dark shapes

"Look at this, isn't it cool!" He said, like a small child. Before Lyanna could reply, Christina and Seth came downstairs, one after the other. They were matching, which Java found pretty funny.

"What're you looking at?" Seth asked curiously over Java's shoulder.

"I don't know," Java replied, "But it's amazing. I think Ali might teach us about it!"

Ever

When Ever heard Ali tell everyone that some were going to have to share a room, she was glad that Christina and Kitty jumped at the opportunity. She sometimes couldn't control her powers in the middle of the night.

When she woke up the next morning, she rolled out of bed and put on a pair of "blue jeans" and a simple "t-shirt." When she went downstairs, she saw everyone else was up and about. She went over to the "couch" and sat down. She hoped that this learning stuff would go by easily.

Kitty

After being woken up by a crying Christina, I examined my own box of clothes. I think Ali called it a "dresser." After throwing everything out on my bed, I dug through the piles and piles of fabric, settling on a bright pink "skirt", this really pretty flower thing that circled my waist and poofed out and bounced around my knees when I moved. Giggling, I picked out a black shirt (Ali called it a tank-top, and it didn't have sleeves or anything!) and these funny, stretchy things with stripes on it. "Ali?" I called, walking out of the room. "Ali, what are these?" I found her in a room at the end of the hall, which I assumed was hers. "Ali, what are these?" I asked again, holding them up. She looked at me, then laughed a bit. "These are called "tights"." She said, opening a hole in them. I looked at them, at her face, and then back at them. "Yea, but what are they?" "Here," She said, making the hole larger. "Give me your foot." After thrusting each of my feet down a tube in the "tights", she told me to pull them up my legs, like pants. I did so, amazed when I looked down and my legs were striped. I gasped, running over to a "mirror" she had in her room. There I saw a girl, wild black hair and big pink eyes. She had black and blue striped legs, a big poofy thing about the top her her legs and a black torso. I smiled, and so did the reflection-girl. Laughing, I ran from the room, down the hallway and then the stairs. "Look!" I cried, jumping up onto the couch. "Look guys!" I laughed, still jumping, when my vision went out, shortly followed by my feeling. I heard a loud thump, and some gasps, and then people moving. "Crap," I muttered, trying to blink the blackness from my eyes.

*sorry it's taken so long for me to post. Thanksgiving was hectic. )

Timothy- Strength, speed, flexibility

Timothy woke up from a pleasant sleep (the best he'd ever had) with a smile. He shot out of his amazing bed and searched for his clothes. After finding them, he deposited the ones he was wearing, the pajamas, onto Java's pillow.

That ought to get him going, Timothy thought wickedly. He moved them around a little so they looked less conspicuous, as if he hadn't known what he was doing.

When he was dressed, he walked into the hallway and to the top of the stairs. He descended by placing his hands on one step and then flipping himself over, until his feet were on the next step. He repeated this until he reached the bottom.

Humming a nonsense tune, he entered the living room, where everyone was huddled around Kitty, who was blinking rapidly. They all were speaking to her worriedly.

"What's wrong?" Timothy asked. "Did you get hurt?"

I heard some thumps on the stairs, and then Timmy's voice say "What's wrong? Did you get hurt?" I cursed under my breathe, which was actually a bit loud for me, mad at myself for still not explaining my power to him. "Timmy," I said, sure it was a whisper to everyone else. "Timmy!" Someone screamed into my ear, and I winced. I heard his footsteps, and then his breath as he kneeled next to me. "Yes?" He asked. I felt like smiling then. He smelled good. "Timmy, can you put me on the couch?" I heard his head move, heard him swallow, and then shift as he picked my up. I heard the soft hiss of skin against fabric, and then a floorboard squeak as he stepped back. "Am I on the couch?" I asked, wishing that I could at least feel.

*Finally have some time. I don't want to keep you guys waiting so feel free to post for me if I ever take too long. I've been a bit busy lately*

Ali

I woke up, the sunlight peering through the dusty window. I yawned, popping my shoulders. I threw off the covers and slipped on black jeans and a white tank-top, I brushed my long dark hair into a high ponytail. I walked down the hall hearing exclaims of delight from the children. Helping Kitty put her tights on, I beamed at their simple discoveries. I knocked on Robert's door, unlocking it. I peered in, he was lying on his cot, his forearm pressed against his eyes. I grimaced and pulled on my gloves before heading towards him.

"Come on Robert, time to get up." I said.

He moaned slightly and rolled away. I sighed and grabbed his hands, tying them up before pulling him to his feet. I pulled him to the bathroom, the windows already completely blocked.

"You have three minutes." I said, closing the door behind him.

Later, I steadied him down the stairs, to find all the children up, bright and early.

"What are you gonna teach us Ali?" asked Java excitedly.

I smiled at him and set Robert down in a seat between me and the couch the others were piled onto.

"I think we'll start with common objects, just so you guys know what some stuff is, then you can all go look around some more okay?"I said reaching for the stuff on the table.

i picked up a thick volume, holding it in my hand.

"I was wondering what those were!" exclaimed Java.

"Well it's called a book." I laughed, shifting it from hand to hand. "This one is about flowers and gardening."

"What's gardening?" said Kitty, who was lying on the couch.

"Well, when you make flowers and trees, anything in the front really, well grow." I said, puzzled.

"What are some... 'flowers'?" said Lyanna.

"Well the one you were holding yesterday was a rose. And well the pink ones over there," I said pointing out the window. "Those are daisies, and the short, yellow ones are dandelions. And, those tiny, blue ones, those are my favourite, forget-me-nots."

"That's a funny name for a flower!" giggled Christina.

I scrunched up my nose, and laughed. Seth peered over to the trees, standing tall in the front. I guessed his unasked question.

"Trees can live for a long, long time. I think there's a tree somewhere in the world that 5 million years old! But none of the trees here are that old." I said, glancing at the beautiful oak.

They all looked at each other in surprise, before Timmy said,

"Is five million old?"

I grinned, "Older then me, that's for sure."

Ever spoke up, "How old are you Ali?"

I grimaced, "Twenty-two. So not that much older then most of you."

"And how old is Robert?" asked Ever, ignoring his presence.

"Well I'm not sure, Robert how old are you?"

He looked at us, looking exhausted. "I'm twenty-two as well."

Robert, scientist

Robert would have protested at being bound again, especially since she expected him to go to the bathroom tied up, but he was too tired. His first night as a captive hadn't been particularly restful. Of course, it also would have been nice if she'd let him get his clothes back on (he'd been sleeping in his boxers).

He didn't say much until someone asked his age. "I'm twenty-two as well. And that tree's only about two-thousand years old Ali. It's a Joshua tree I think." He suddenly realized that without his shirt on, there was nothing hiding the track marks from the needle. Hopefully they wouldn't notice.

Kitty

After she started talking about books, my senses came back, and I opened my eyes to see her holding the thing that Java had had earlier.

"What's gardening?" I asked as she mentioned it. I listened to her lesson, thoroughly intrigued if not more than a little confused. We started talking about how old things are, and I remembered her saying I was 15.

"Ali," I said, interrupting whatever she was saying. "Ali, how do you know my name is Kitty? And how do you know how old I am? And what are the "files" you were talking about yesterday? And-" She cut off my ranting with a loud laugh, and it took her a while to settle down again.

"Kitty, you ask too many questions," she said, smiling at me. I frowned slightly, crossing my arms over my chest and leaning on Timmy, who was sitting next to me.
