(You're spot on!)

Arabella, Cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella looked at the Bodlinda pirate who just spoke and nodded. "She has the right idea, lets take this out to sea and leave these poor girls to themselves, they done nothing wrong but give us the right idea!" She gripped the shoulder of the one girl she had a hold on, her face grave and serious. After a moment, she turned and led one of the girls out of the pub, half the crowd, including a relived looking Jimmy, followed her. Their whispers soon becoming shouts of expectancy.

Brightie, newest to the ship, Bodlina >->

I stood beside Vincent and watched the gyspy woman walk away with one of the girls, causing the one in my shipmates' grasp to let out a small sob. My head spun, I wasn't used to all of this and I for sure had no idea what was happening! I looked to Vicent desperately, for a sense of what to do. He looked at me with clenched teeth.

"Get to the ship, we have a score to settle."

Isadaemus, Captain of the Bodlina,

I pace the deck, unwilling to go to shore with my crew. They're probably getting into fights in the various bars, but, really, there's nothing I can do to stop them from drinking. Me, I always drink from my private reserves. Safer that way. When I see Vincent and Brightie walking quickly back to the ship, I know something is up. Vincent. Why does he ALWAYS have to do things to make someone angry? Well, I'll hope that I at least don't have to deal with it.

Sirena, Currently being possibly kidnapped by pirates, hm...Cuervo?

I tried to look back at my sister, but the woman (perhaps an unruly pirate-queen?) simply shoved my towards the docks. I let a crestfallen tear run down my cheek. Here I was, being dragged off towards some God forsaken pirate ship, AWAY from Vailea, who'd just gotten back after two years of being gone. I already missed her.

We came upon a large, glorious ship, the name 'The Cuervo' scrawled beautifully on the side. I stared up at the name as we boarded the ship. And what a ship it was! I gasped as I looked around me: The shining decks, the neatly coiled ropes everywhere-even the rats seemed to be special in some way! Whether they were clean or smart or large or beautiful, there was something about them. Something about the ship. I smiled, despite the pain in my heart and the fear in my stomach. You had to be stupid or blind to not appreciate the beauty of it all.

Jimmy, Pirate, Cuervo

He sighed with relief, following Arabella and the captain, although he was more than a little surprised that they'd chosen to haul one of those two girls along with them. Jimmy's rather peculiar way of finding trouble no matter how much he 'tried' to avoid it had given him a nose for it, and what was happening now simply reeked of danger.

The girl in Arabella's grasp struggled to break free of her, to run back to her sister, but the cook wasn't about to let her go. Jimmy glanced from one to the other, feeling a little guilty for their having to be separated. But then, they'd chosen to involve themselves in the wrong kind of business. The pirates - Bodlina or Cuervo - couldn't just let them wander off to tell the authorities that there were pirates in town.

On the other hand, their parents probably wouldn't happy that their girls had disappeared, and that the last place they'd been seen was a not-so-reputable bar. How much pull did their parents have? Enough to call down a small fleet on the heads of the pirates unfortunate enough to take their daughters aboard?

Jesus, Joseph and Mary...is everyone but me completely insane?

Jarrod, Bosun, Bodlina

Vincent seemed intent on dragging the remaining girl off to the Bodlina, but Jarrod himself wasn't sure that that would be the greatest idea. Mercifully, Allyson seemed to share Jarrod's thoughts on the matter.

But Vincent was already dragging the girl towards the docks, Brightie in tow behind him. Jarrod shook his head - Isadaemus wouldn't be happy about this. The bosun wasn't sure that his legendary composure would be able to handle a half-rogue member of his crew kidnapping a town girl.

Glancing at Allyson, his raised his eyebrows. "So, what d'you think? Can we do anything to save this situation? Or will her family's guards be out for blood already?" The latter was quite likely, actually. They probably had some unseen chaperone who had hurried away to alert everyone to who was 'kidnapping' the girls. In all likelihood, both the Bodlina and the Cuervo would need to ship out as soon as they could.

Birdie, Pirate, Bodlina

Birdie smiled, sucking the sweet air through her nose. You couldn't me mad on a day like this. Even if your mates where leaving you on deck to go to town alone. To drink alone-together-without her. Even if you couldn't do anything but stare at the filthy street people in the alleys, or try to catch the rats. Nope. You couldn't be mad. You COULD NOT be mad...

Her eyes flew open, the moment ruined by that blasted brain of hers. But when she opened her eyes, she noticed something. Rather, a group of someones. There was the regular Bodlinians, and then...why, there was a small girl, a rich looking girl, being propelled forwards by Vincent's hand on her shoulder. 'Oh my,' Birdie thought. 'What the hell have they done?' The crew was always stirring up trouble, and to say she didn't cause half of it would be a lie, and the one thing Birdie didn't do was lie...or at least very much, or to her fellow crew members on the Bodlina. She stood up from her spot where she had earlier been relaxing on the deck, and stared at her feet. She wondered who this girl was, why she was with the crew, and what would happen to her.

And also if any of them had brought her back a lick of ale.

Mitch, Bodlina, Pirate

"Birdie, are my eyes deceiving me when I see a rich, young lady?" Mitch began, but the panic began.
"A rich, young woman, no doubt with high connections, who's family will hunt us down? Who will publicly execute us with brutality and- and-"
He stopped, staring at Birdie, who appeared to have that 'Mitch is panicking, again' look on her face. It was always like that with him, for some reason. It was always, 'Don't be so paranoid' or 'Shut up, Mitch' or 'Do you want me to cut your head off?'.
Well, I'll show them. I'll show them when they all resort to eating each other, and I handily point out that I've been stealing rations for just this very occasion.
He decided to give her the thing that had been bothering him for, well, ever since he'd become a bloody pirate.
"DO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DO TO PIRATES IN SOME PLACES?!"
Mitch did know. Back when he was seventeen, he'd gone onto his second ship, where the captain told him about the time he once sailed near China, and saw rows and rows of heads on spikes. And there was the time he'd been just cruising along, when he saw a bunch of pirates, tied to poles in a harbor, drown when the high tide came in. And there was the hanging, which Mitch probably would have preferred drowning and beheading to, in which you died in agony as your last breath for air was taken out of you...

Mitch turned to see that nearly all the crew were looking at him.
This guy is so evil you could put him in between two slices of bread and call him an evil sandwich.

Vailea, sister to Sirena

Who do they think they are! My sister was crying as they pulled aboard a ship. I picked up my skirt and began to run towards them. I hid in the background listening to their conversation about this rich young lady. I jumped up and ran towards them, "Let her go! You brutes!" I grabbed my sisters arm about to fight anybody in my way. If they wanted to kidnap one of us it would be both of us by god!

Isabel, cabin girl, Cuervo,

I hurry to catch up with Jimmy and Arabella. Good Lord. I never will understand pirates. It's always fight, fight, fight. Kill, ask questions later, that's their motto. But seeing that I live with them, I keep my mouth shut, so that I don't become the object of their wrath. I guess all that I can do now is make sure that the rich girl, whoever she is, has a moderately comfortable slave life. Ah, well.

Arabella, Cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella walked with her face set dead ahead, ignoring all the questioning looks from her fellow ship mates, bringing the young girl straight into the kitchen. She quickly shut the door, leaving Jimmy, Bridie, and the rest of them to wonder and plan, she wanted to deal with the girl. She looked up at her, tying on her apron and sighed.

"I'm sorry I had to drag you away like that, but I know the type of man Vincent is, and trust me you would've ended back in his clutches if I hadn't taken you. And I wish I could've taken your sister, but pirates rules kept me from it." The girl said nothing, tears spilling down her face. Arabella sighed and walked over to her gently. "Your sister will be fine. Pirate rules keep him from doing anything to her before she grants herself on of the crew which is probably not going to happen. You were in the wrong place at the wrong time, and you pointed out the problem. You were brave." The girl sniffed and rubbed her face on her sleeve.

"Whats going to happen now?" She asked. Arabella frowned and walked toward the peg hung with aprons.

"For now, you'll have to be my apprentice while the capt'ns between the two ships figure out what to do. Thats Tica over there by the way," she nodded toward a small greyhound sleeping the corner of the room, his sleek white and black body glowing in the sun, "hes our little helper!" She tossed the apron to the girl and began her work feeding the crew.

Brightie, new crew memeber, Bodlina >->

I trailed after Vincent, trying to match his ginormous steps. He pushed the girl in front of him roughly and she stumbled into the mud. I quickly bent down and helped her up, looking at him through narrowed eyes.

"Slow down Vincent," I said roughly, "whats the hurry?" He turned sharply and looked at me.

"I told ye Brightie, we've a score to settle with the Curevo. They got an old crew member of ours that we need to take out!" He walked briskly up the plank and onto the boat where our captin stood, his face pensive and red. Uh oh, I thought, this isn't gonna be good.

Allyson, First Mate, Bodlina

Vincent was already dragging the girl to where the captain was waiting, Brightie was trailing behind him.
It was a shame really, if Brightie had left the fight and come back to the ship to report what was going on, Allyson would probably feel lenient towards her. As it was, Brightie had spent the entire time following after Vincent.

Allyson nudged Jarrod with her shoulder.
"I think you're going to have to give them extra duties. The sight of Vincent scrubbing the deck under your watch for a couple of weeks will probably satisfy me."
He chuckled ruefully, sighing as the other two crew members neared the ship. She knew how he felt - even if they did manage to get the girl back off the ship, her family would be baying for the Bodlina's blood as soon as they touched land again.

She hated to say it, but they would probably have to keep this girl.

Seeing the captain strolling out on the deck, Allyson pulled Jarrod's arm and they both began to walk quicker, catching up with the others just as they walked up the gangplank.
Isadaemus looked partly angry and partly weary; Allyson felt a pull of regret that she hadn't managed to stop Vincent before he'd taken the girl.
She turned to face Isadaemus and gestured to the girl Vincent was holding.
"Captain, I think we have a problem."
"It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want."

Sirena, Cook's Apprentice (for now...), Cuervo

I look at the apron she put in my hands. If I have to be on a pirate's ship, can't I do some actual work? Sure, I'm small, and not very strong, but I'm fast and flexible. "Um," I cough, scared to make her mad. "Isn't there anything else...?" I trail off, the words stuck in my throat. The look she's giving me....I shudder, and quickly pull the apron over my head. I stand by awkwardly as she stirs up some stew, and starts on making bread. I've never cooked in my life. Well, that's not true. When I was twelve I tried to help my mother make cookies. I burned down the kitchen and made us move.

Not knowing what to do, I sit down on a barrel in the corner, staring at the dog. My eyes start to droop, and my head suddenly feels very heavy, I go to lean back on the wall, but end up tipping both me and the barrel over, waking up the dog and startling the pirate girl. She glares at me. "That was the last of the rum!" She yells, pointing at the brown puddle slowly seeping into my dress.

Oh, bugger.

Arabella, cook, Cuervo >->

Arabella looked at the young girl angrily, her anger getting the better of her. Suddenly, she remembered the ordeal and sighed, it was her first day, and they were still in port. It wasn't that much of a problem.

"I'll let it go today, since you've had hell but don't let it happen again, find a mop and also find Isabel and tell her to go buy four more barrels of rum, she'll know where to go. She'll probably be in her cabins down the hall. Don't stand there and gawk at me girl, move!"

The girl blinked and began to move for the door. Just before her hand reached it, Arabella called out. "Wait!" and she stopped.

"We should probably know each other's name if we're going to be working together for God knows how long. The name's Arabella, obvious cook of this beautiful boat. And you are?"

Isadaemus, Captain of the Bodlina,

I stare at Vincent, who is roughly pushing a young girl onto the ship. Allyson is pulling on my shirt, pointing out the obvious.

"Captain, I think we have a problem."

"Really? I hadn't noticed, " I snarl. Turning back to Vincent and Brightie, I stride towards them. Leave it to Vincent to get us into the biggest messes. I stop directly in front of Vincent, my nose very close to his.

"Mind telling me where you obtained this lovely new recruit, Vincent?" I say smoothly, in my most silky voice. Vincent glares at me. I turn to the rest of the crew, who have all come out to watch the drama.

"We set sail at once, before the authorities get wind of Vincent's little escapade," I say.

"I am afraid that will not be possible, Cap'n," says Brightie, a frightened expression on her face.

I say Wolf, for all wolves are not of the same sort; there is one kind with an amenable disposition – neither noisy, nor hateful, nor angry, but tame, obliging and gentle, following the young maids in the streets, even into their homes. Alas! Who does not know that these gentle wolves are of all such creatures the most dangerous!
