**Sorry, sorry, soooooorrrry guys! :D I've been uber busy!**

Metal Canary/Laina

Laina clicked her tongue impatiently as she watched the group of heroes argue between one another. Is this what they called a team? She scoffed at the thought as her lips formed a malicious smirk. This would be fun. She perched on the side of the tall building, legs bent for a launch. Just as she built up enough adrenaline to jump, a voice broke the arguing.

"It's a little early for you to be fighting amongst yourselves, isn't it? Goodness, I could hear you squalling from three blocks away!" The heroes froze, looking around and Laina smirked, her metallic eyes glancing towards a dark alley way.

"Who are you?" One of the heroes asked in a meek whisper that almost made Laina laugh.

"Who am I? I'm your foil of course." Mynah stepped out of the alley and into the light of a street lamp, a small half-smile on his face. "But you can call me Mynah."

After the heroes conversed again one girl seemed to catch Laina's attention. She was doing... something. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. With a small groan Laina shifted into a lynx, her body covered with metal plates, red eyes glowing as she lept off the top of the building, flying towards the girl.

Her front paws hit the heroine's arm, back paws following with much more force. The heroine's eyes grew wide and her mouth opened as if she was going to scream as she barreled to the ground, flipping across it a couple times before stopping in the grass and falling into a heap.

Laina, taking the time she had, shifted into her regular hero form, her eyes scrutinizing the group of heroes with hatred.

Flux

A metal lynx! That meant the hawk I'd seen yesterday had to be this girl standing in front of me. Great, I got shown up by her.
Before she could do anything, I transformed into a wolf and threw myself at her, snarling and biting. She responded by transforming too, but her wolf had hard, shiny metal plates. Not good.
She was smaller than me though, and I was powerful; the boy who'd given me my powers had made sure that I was a king amongst wolves.
I pinned her down, but couldn't get a grip anywhere on her body, it was hard and slippery; my claws rapped against her chest.
She grinned manically up at me.
"This is your best shot? Pathetic."
She flipped my off her body and we both stood up, facing each other wearily. Despite her tough words, the villain was panting quietly, her metal sides heaving up and down.
"It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want."

Electrum

Electrum saw Mistique fall. She turned and saw someone standing there, examing them. Suddenly Flux leapt at the person in wolf form. They fought for a second, but then it turned into a face-off. Electrum sent a bolt of electricity at the person, knocking them to the ground. She ran to Mistique. "Are you okay?"

Nick/Mynah

"All of you against one little old me?" Mynah shook his head. "I thought heroes were supposed to be all about fairness. No matter, I'm not all that concerned." When Death spoke of 'finishing what she had started', he gave her an amused look. "Would you really be ready to kill me? I've not done anything quite bad enough yet to deserve that. But enough idle talk."

A little thrill of excitement went through his body as the heroes arrayed themselves for the attack. This was why he'd started doing this, why he kept putting that tie back on.

He ran at Death with a scream of an almost incapacitating pitch. The black garbed hero flinched barely, but she was ready for his attack and dodged the concentrated shock waves.

Mynah turned his head slightly to look at Mystique; he'd heard her speak barely a split second before his attack. Ah. That figures. He took a deep breath and stopped himself from going over the plan of attack in his head.

There was a sudden flash of metal, and the mind-reader was sent head over heels. Mynah laughed when he saw who it was. "Took you long enough."

He pulled back a little and let his eyes rove, looking for someone to take down. His eyes lighted on Falconstrike and narrowed. "Oh, it's you." This would be a good chance to make a fool of the girl who'd almost gotten him arrested last year. Good thing he'd escaped at the last minute.

Cara/Death

The scene was chaotic. Another villain had appeared, one who knew Mynah; Mistique was on the ground, drifting back into consciousness with Electrum at her side; Flux had shifted and was taking on the other villain, also a shifter. This left Death with Mynah, who didn't seem keen on a fight. It didn't matter. Death was bloodthirsty enough for both of them.

She was withdrawing another throwing knife when she saw Falconstrike, running to her side.

"Leave me alone!" Death snapped at her. "I can handle him."

Falconstrike only rolled her eyes and laughed a little. The wind began to pick up around her, lifting her into the air. Death shot a glance at Mynah, whose gaze was fixed on Falconstrike.

"Oh, it's you," Mynah muttered, smirking.

So he recognised Falconstrike, too. What a lovely reunion this was turning out to be. Raising her arm, Death threw the first knife.

((Obviously it's not going to hit, since I'm not going to kill anyone's character. It's up to you how you guys deflect that one, since the heroes aren't keen on Death killing anyone either.))

Mynah/Nick

Mynah's eyes widened as the knife came hurtling towards him. He darted to the side, but the knife still managed to hit his shoulder. The blade hit at an odd angle and didn't manage to sink in properly, instead falling to the ground. There was a yelp of pain. I've forgotten how psychotic that one is. I should get out of here while I'm ahead... if only I could get at them first. He held his arm and took a step backwards, letting out another piercing shriek towards Death.

Falconstrike

She grinned as Mynah seemed to recognise her, already forming a gale with her powers as Mynah attacked. Just as the shriek tore through the air she acted, a rush of air shooting forward and towards the villan, deflecting it. As the sound backfired into Mynah's own ears he winced, giving Falconstrike an opportunity. With a peal of laughter she shot forwards, using the air to propel her into the sky.

She caught Mynah under the arms, laughing as the ground quickly getting further and further away as she soared across the tops of the buildings. Mynah grunted and jerked himself around, causing them both to meander up and down in the air in a spectacular wave.

"Nice try, Scream," she chuckled, using her pet name for the villian as she let him go. She let him fall a distance before zooming down and catching him again. This time though, Mynah arched his body upwards and booted her squarely in the jaw. She yelped as her teeth closed on her own tongue, quickly letting him go. She tumbled in the air before regaining her balance, hearing Mynah's yells as he continued to fall. She shook herself, the grin returning as she performed a little roll in the air, before diving down towards the earth.

She caught up with him quickly, grabbing him by the ankle, only for his shoe to slip off.

"Oh, for the love of God," she rolled her eyes, chucking the shoe over her shoulder before plummeting towards the earth again.

She caught him around the middle just as he was about to hit the ground, sending them both tumbling across the tarmac in a rough tumble, cutting through the path of the road. She rolled out of the way of a car, pulling Mynah out of the way of a truck. She winced; her ribs throbbed from the impact but still she continued to smirk at Mynah.

She nudged him with her blue Converse. "C'mon Scream, that all you got? I'm getting bored..."

Cara/Death

Death was left standing on the ground, yelling after Falconstrike as she disappeared over the buildings.

"Enjoy!" she finally spat, and turned around to see Flux and the other villain standing opposite each other, breathing heavily. The rest of the heroes were surrounding them, waiting for one or the other to make a move. Ignoring them, Death strode over to where her knife was lying, under the light of the nearby lamppost. She stared at the blood on the blade, drinking in the smell before brushing it off with her jacket sleeve.

That was the good thing about black. Stains didn't show.

Mynah/Nick

Mynah groaned and got to his feet, still holding his injured shoulder. "You are without a doubt," he said icily, "the most irritating-"

Suddenly the sound of chopper blades filled the air, as well as sirens. "THIS IS THE POLICE. WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED."

Falconstrike froze and looked around for where the police were coming from, giving Mynah an opportunity to sweep her legs out from under her and pin her to the ground. The sirens abruptly stopped.

"You can't always believe your ears, you know," he said with a grin. "Now let's find out who's behind that mask, shall we?" He was a little hesitant. Would seeing her face take all the fun out of the job?

He shouldn't have waited. A gust of wind knocked him off of her and pinned him to the side of a nearby building. "That was creative... but seriously, is that all you got?" asked Falconstrike.

Electrum

Electrum slapped Mistique gently. "Wake up Mistique." She didn't do anything. Electrum groaned quietly. She hated to do this, but she had to get Mistique up. She put her hand on Mistiques forehead and sent an electric shock into Mistique. It wasn't enough to hurt her, but it would certainly get her up. Sure enough, Mistique's eyes snapped open. She tried to sit up, but Electrum pushed her back down again. "You stay right there until you recover." She said quietly.

She stood up and walked over to Death. She tapped her shoulder. Electrum felt much braver than she had a while ago. "I'm going to go find Falconstrike." Before Death could respond Electrum had dissapeared, running in the direction that Falconstrike had been going.

((I just want to let you all know that ridersofdamar is going to be joining as another hero. The character will join the team, but for now will be a lone hero. No need to try and work the character in - well, you can't, since ridersofdamar hasn't posted the profile yet and might not for a little bit - but you can work out friendships etc at the DT. This is just a heads up. I figure that there's no restraint on new team members, as long as they're willing to read the storybook through a few times.))

Falconstrike

Mynah was knocked back suddenly with a gale of air and pinning him against the wall, as Falconstrike looked at him with her arms crossed. A bright flood light was upon them but she ignored it, rolling her eyes. The police always had to intefere with her fun.

"Trying to take off my mask, that's pretty low," she teased, laughing. However, the noise of her laughter suddenly disappeared as Mynah used his powers to silence her. She jumped, shocked not to hear her own voice even though she was sure she was trying to talk. Mynah threw back his head in laughter.

"Finally, some quiet!"

Falconstrike frowned, a devious smirk on her lips as she whooshed the air from his lungs. Mynah choked, clutching his throat. "Finally," she mimicked him. "Enough of your bad jokes."

She let him breath again and he gulped in air, not hesitating to shoot a high pitched shriek towards her ears. Even with her fast reflexes, she couldn't block it and fell to the ground, clutching her ears in pain. She felt Mynah's shoe collide with her chest and push her to the ground. She looked up at him, her eyes watering with the pain of the sound.

"Hey, that was harsh," she said, grinning and conjuring a twister behind his back as she heard someone running towards her from behind.

Electrum

Electrum saw that Falconstrike was in trouble. She had seemed to be in control for a moment, but then things had spun out of control. Mynah, if that was what he was called, was standing over her. Falconstrike was putting together a twister. She's not going to have that done in time. Electrum thought. She came into the light behind Falconstrike, smiling. She summoned a bolt of electricity. It bounced between her fingers for a second. Mynah sneered at her. "What are you going to do with that little thing? Give me a bit of a zap?" Electrum ignored him and sent a large arc of electricity at him.

He leapt out of the way. Electrum narrowed her eyes. He's going to be difficult huh? I'll show him difficult. She proceeded to send a series of random zaps at him. Finally one hit. He fell backwards. By this time Falconstrike has finished her mini-tornado. Electrum nodded to Falconstrike. "Your turn."

((You do realize that he was mimicking the noise of the policemen, right Moo? The police aren't actually coming.))

Mynah grinned down at Falconstrike in triumph. "This, my dear, is for almost getting me arrested last year." But before he could do anything, Electrum approached, electricity jumping between her fingers.

He watched her cautiously, though his words were uncaring. "What are you going to do with that little thing? Give me a bit of a zap?" As expected, she shot a bolt at him. It was relatively easy to dodge, but he had to get off of his nemesis to do so. Electrum narrowed her eyes and began shooting at him randomly, shocks flying in all directions.

The villain was doing a rather good job of dodging her electric projectiles when he was distracted by a small dark shape that was relatively nearby. "My shoe!" he exclaimed, but then a horrible jolt went through him. Mynah fell back, completely dazed.

He shoved himself into a sitting position and shook his head. That was when he saw the twister.

"Oh dear."
