((Yay Sophia!))

Spot, hyena

I grinned as Sophia came back and began gnawing on my padlock. After a moment she grimaced and pulled back, apparently in pain.

"Here, let me have a go at it." I shifted and slipped my arm through the bars, pulling the padlock through, and had Sophia hold it in place. I cracked my neck. "Whoo, okay, here we go." I turned back into my beast form and cracked down hard on the padlock. Hyenas have tremendous biting power, you know. We bite through bones, horns, hooves, all that jazz.

Unfortunately our teeth were not made to crush reinforced steel padlocks. My eyes teared up as I gnawed, but finally the stupid thing gave way and I pulled back with a little whimper. "Ow."

Sophia rolled her eyes as I shifted back and opened the door. "Holy crap that hurt." I stood up and stretched. "I want to meet the guy who made up padlocks so I can chew his face off."

I froze. "Wait... you hear that?"

Whiteside was back in the building. Crap crap crap I was in trouble.

*My dad kicked me off halfway through, had to switch computers, will finish shortly.*

Jaidev-

Jay couldn't believe it, he was free and with other shifters. They had shifted back to human form, or as human as they ever got. Derrick was leading the way, since no one else knew where to go.

Lupa kept sneaking glances at him. Finally she spoke. "I never heard of Whiteside making a tiger shifter. He would have gloated about another major predator."

Shifting uncomfortably, Jay looked anywhere but at his two friends. "My animal form is extinct, so Frankenstein isolated me from other shifters. For my own good he said. Personally I think he was just wanted to see how long I could take it without going nuts."

Snorting Derrick asked. "Hence, the reason for the figurative 'up yours' when you escaped?"

He grinned devilishly. "Got it in one."

Masumi

I ran, barely conscious, trying to get as far away as possible, the n=moment Arun bit me I understood, he was letting me go. I didn't know whee I was going, I could have been going round in circles for all I knew, I was loosing too much blood, I needed help, and fast. I changed into my human form, while it was weaker, I had hands to block up what felt like gaping holes in my neck, anything to reduce my blood loss. to stop my scent I stumbled into the nearby stream and walked against the current. The corners of my vision began to black out and I knew I couldn't afford to faint in the water. With the rest of my strength I clambered up the embankment and collapsed, suddenly I began laughing, hearing a snap of wood I struggled to stifle the noise and got up to hide. I got up too soon and the darkness that I had been fighting to keep away came with an overwhelming rush. I fell into darkness.

*Can some one please run into Masumi? He's kinda bleeding to death right now so I'm guessing he needs major help...*

Keiran loped along at his leisure now that the danger was gone. While on the scent, he still managed to take in the sights around him: Giant, moss-covered trees lay widely spaced out, roots rippling above-ground before diving back into the earth. Here and there a squirrel or some other animal darted from underfoot, startled by his appearance. He didn't bother chasing any of them; he was smart enough to know there was no point chasing something as impossibly quick as a rodent. But oh, his stomach was rumbling, and they began to look increasingly tasty as time wore on.

He noticed several bushes drooping with all kinds of berries, but his nose told him that none were good for a dog to eat, and maybe not a human. He wouldn't take the chance of shifting to his human form to eat them while they might kill him anyway. He could have whimpered. Not even a puddle to drink from.

Keiran tried his best to ignore the grumbling of his stomach and focused on the chase. The scent was getting stronger, and the blood he occasionally saw was having less of a chance to dry before he found it. They must be slowing down.

With that thought in his mind, Keiran picked up the pace. Maybe once he found them they would have already searched for food, and with a little luck the cat and his strange friend ate more than berries. He practically drooled in anticipation. Juicy deer, a tender rabbit, maybe even a- A back-wind had blown yet another scent to him, which carried the scent of cat, and blood. Had they doubled back on him? No, it couldn't be. That smell is a different cat.

And it was injured.

Keiran wheeled back the way he came, starting off at a sprint. A cat! His luck was definitely in today. The thing was injured too! It might as well have just walked into his paws. Foam started at the edges of his mouth as he ran faster and faster, searching for that tasty feline.

The scent was getting stronger. It could be anywhere! The scent lead him left off the path, through sparse undergrowth and over rocks. At one point he even had to skirt an impossibly large bramble bush, the thing covered in blood. Keiran would have lapped up the glorious red stuff, if not for the gleaming thorns that stared back at him. No matter, he thought. Why have a thigh when you can get the whole bloody chicken?

And suddenly-just like that- he saw it. Laying beside a stream, his hands to his throat. It seemed unconscious.

With a jolt, Keiran realized that it had hands to his throat, not paws. A shifter then. Damn it! he thought. He seemed to be saying that a lot today.

He fought down the urge to close in anyway. I'm not like Whiteside. I couldn't kill a human. Keiran went and sniffed at the wound at his throat. Gently nudging the boy's hands away, licked the wound. The saliva of a dog could stop the bleeding, after all.

He continued to lick, until he was sure the wound had stopped bleeding. For now, at least. Now it was even more important to find Lupa and the others.

He spun around, running as fast as he could back towards Lupa's blood-trail. He quickly regained the distance lost. Now that he was closer, he let an ear-splitting alarm-howl sound through the forest. He hoped Lupa could hear, and if she did, knew that something was terribly wrong.

I laughed at Jaidev's comment. Whitehead had been sneaky, hiding a tiger can't have been easy.
I began to feel woozy, my vision blurred and began to black out. I tried to sit down, but before I could my legs collapsed and my head hit the ground. Hard.
"Oopsie." I mumbled, closing my eyes and trying to block out the pain. "Guys, I don't think walking is a good idea for me now."
I felt one of them pick me up, "I'll carry you, you don't seem too heavy."
"Thanks," I breathed, trying not to fall asleep. "Nice of you."
They chuckled and we carried on walking. Then, from behind I heard a familiar voice shout my name.
"Lupa!"
"Keiran?" I asked, trying to lift my head and see.
"Lupa!" He called again.
Then I closed my eyes and blacked out.

*sorry it's so short, going to sleep!*

Dalton, Scorpion

Dalton crept forward half an inch, tiny eyes watching as the spider set to work rebuilding her web. But moments later, out in the hall, there was a great crash of metal - perhaps a cage knocked over in the current escape attempt.

Instinctively, the scorpion scuttled from beneath the rock (which had wobbled ever so slightly with the vibrations), and to a safer corner of his tank, scowling at the light now shining down on him.

"What are those idiots doing now?! Can't they let us have five seconds of peace?" Rebekah set about repairing her web, muttering about the idiot experiments.

Dalton settled back into his corner, trying to ignore the brutally bright light bearing down on him. "They don't have any patience." He sighed, caught between relief and annoyance. "If any actually escape, we'll probably be sent after them. Or after new subjects." On the one hand, going after specific targets would be an immense effort on his part. On the other, it would give him a chance to hunt something that wasn't trapped in a Perspex box with him. And it would get him out of the box.

Conrad, Komodo Dragon

Since he'd escaped such a long time ago, Conrad Bennett had stayed near to Whiteside's laboratories, hoping that someday he'd be able to free his cousin, or find another shifter, at the least. He owned a small apartment in the nearest town, and held down a part time job to pay the bills.

For food, he hunted in the woods surrounding Whiteside's nightmare factory. Which was exactly what he was doing now. Even in his human form, his tongue flicked at the air, testing it. It was a habit he was forced to suppress constantly in town.

It wasn't long before his nose twitched, catching the smell of free-flowing blood deeper in the forest. Conrad started towards it, sniffing constantly now - this dying animal was going to provide plenty of food with minimum effort. As he drew closer, however, the smell grew more familiar through the blood, and he identified it almost immediately. A human! That's a human that's dying!

Conrad broke into a run, crashing through the undergrowth towards the source of the smell. He paused upon reaching the clearing, looking about frantically, before calming himself down and giving the area a careful look-over. There! He crossed to the prone body, bending down beside it.

He identified the wounds immediately, punctures in the boy's neck, seeming like a snake-bite. Conrad lifted his head, tasting the air again and sniffing. How close were Whiteside's pets, then? At least, he thought, The blood has stopped flowing. There's got to be someone who can help this guy...

Masumi

I woke up looking at a tall man, I tried to push him away and get up but my body was devoid of strength. "Stay still," he murmured, "I'm here to help."
I struggled more and managed to get the words out, "No! You don't understand! Whiteside is coming!"
I remembered that this stranger probably didn't know who whiteside was, when I looked at him his eyes were wide and he was staring at me in confusion.

Sora

Her limp body crashed through the canopies of the trees, slowing her fall as she slipped off a branch and fell harshly to the forest floor with a thud and a shower of leaves. A blackness engulfed her for what felt like many days, light appearing and then disappearing again every so often. Her body ached and scratched littered her arms and face where the tree's branches had snatched at her on the way down.

Distantly, she could hear voices and the sound of twigs breaking underfoot. Her brain stirred slowly as she realised some of them were familiar. Then, as they got closer, they stopped.

"Jeez, what happened to her?" one said.

"You idiot, that's that bastard Arun's sister. She's one of them," another spat angrily, as she felt a shoe press against her shoulder and flip her onto her back. "She must have got hurt trying to spy on us."

"Get rid of her, quick," another snapped, and suddenly she was torn from the darkness and into the harsh daylight, nearly jumping out of her skin in fright when many angry faces stared down at her.

*I'm confused sre Jay, Derrik, Kieran, and Lupa helping Sora or Masumi?*

Devraj-

Dev watched Arun pace slowly around him. Whiteside had come back and confirmed Jay was gone, Dylan was still trying to peel him off the ceiling. Arun cocked his head to the side, "How could you do it Dev? Letting your brother escape like that?"

Not even bothering to deny the accusation. Dev glared at Arun standing toe to toe. "Do you know why big brothers are born first Arun? It's to protect the little ones that come after."

Arun actually flinched at that remark, though Dev wasn't sure why. "Jay is my twin, my other half. He's also stronger then I'll ever be, strong enough to survive in the outside world."

*EDIT* Lol. I went to read over it again and now I get it. Will post shortly. ;)

Ok:
Jay and Derrick found Lupa, she is unconcious now and Keiran is with them, he came to find help for Masumi. But now Masumi is being helped by Conrad, I think the others should be the ones who bumped into Sora. But as I (Lupa) am unconcious, I was waiting for others to post about it.
