Sadie

I laughed, seeing Lyanna so happy made me feel really warm inside too. It was like seeing a kid ride a bike for the first time.
Maybe we can be good friends...
Tanya walked back into the room. "Nope, no movies."
She sat down on the sofa and grinned at both of us.
"But I do have another idea..."
"It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want."

Lyanna

Lyanna wasn't paying attention to anybody. She was lost in her own thoughts. Why do they like me so much? Everywhere else I've been everyone hated me. She was confused. Her self-esteem was the lowest on Earth. I'm nothing special. Just a girl that's too quiet for her own good. These thoughts had been hanging over her ever since she had met Tanya and Sadie.
Just another quack spouting psychobabble.

Tanya smiled at the two girls. "So what should we do?" she asked. Sadie shrugged.

"A makeover?" she suggested. Tanya laughed.

"A makeover like they do in those stupid sleepover movies?" She asked. Sadie nodded, giggling.

"You've never had a makeover?" She asked. Tanya shook her head. "I'm also guessing that you haven't had one either?" she asked, Lyanna.

Lyanna shrugged and grinned sheepishly. Sadie rolled her eyes.

"Then it's decided," she laughed.

DAMION

He danced...well clumsily, but he tried. Laurie seemed to glow slightly in all the lights. Her hair danced on her shoulders and she seemed unaware of how beautiful she looked. Her eyes sparkled when she smiled or laughed.

"What?" She asked, cocking her head to the side.

"What?" Damion asked, shaking his head. "I sort of zoned out."

"You were...you were just sort of staring at me," Laurie blushed a little, laughing. Damion shrugged.

"Sorry," he replied, glad he didn't blush. It was pretty hard to make him blush. "You do look very beautiful, though. And I have to say you dance with much more grace then I do."

He laughed and shook his head. "Frankly, I suck at all this."

Lyanna

A makeover. Lyanna hadn't gotten one of those before. But then again, she never got anything other than a beating. Sadie reached into her bag and pulled out a flat black box with a clear plastic top. She examined it curiously. It had small indentations that were full of multicolored powder. Sadie laughed at Lyanna's confused expression. "What's the matter Lyanna? Haven't you seen a makeup kit before?" Lyanna just shook her head.
Just another quack spouting psychobabble.

I sighed, she really hadn't had the chance to live out a normal life. I turned to Tanya.
"How about you?" She shook her head, looking slightly worried.
I grinned evilly, and started to empty my bag more. It was pretty manky in there, but I managed to locate the rest of my make-up stuff. It was all pretty basic, but it would do.
I looked at Lyanna.
"Right, I think you should be natural, let's just excentuate your features, yeah?"
Lyanna nodded and and I cracked open my make-up bag.

...................

Fifteen minutes later and I was done. It had been basic, really, but Lyanna looked amazing. But what made it even better was the wide grin she wore when I led her to the mirror.
"Wow."

TANYA

Back home, she always thought make-up was for those girls who felt insecure. Now, she was having doubts. When Lyanna wore it, it seemed to raise her self-esteem. Tanya was interested now. These humans were the most curious species she had ever encountered. Well, so long as they weren't the brutal ones. Still, Lyanna and Sadie didn't seem to be like that.

Tanya had never thought she needed make-up, but it would be pretty fun to try it out.

"Your turn," Sadie grinned over at Tanya. She only laughed and shook her head.

"Alright then. Do your worst," she rolled her eyes. For once she didn't feel like their elders, she felt like a teenage girl.

"Wow." Lyanna was shocked. She looked better than she had ever looked in her life. Sadie grinned.
"Like it?" Lyanna nodded vigourously. She was at a loss for words. Sadie turned to Tanya. "Your turn." Tanya laughed.

"Alright then. Do your worst." Sadie and Lyanna both laughed. Sadie got to work.

Sadie

I laughed; I'd used colour on Tanya, beautiful sweeping colours that had transformed her into ... a princess! I sprinkled some glitter on her face and she was done.
When Tanya looked in the mirror she laughed. "Wow, I look ... different."
We all laughed, and Lyanna looked at me.
"What about you, Sadie? You haven't had your turn!"
I struck a pose, sticking out my hip and pouting.
"I don't need a makeover, I'm beautiful the way I am!"
Lyanna mirrored me and we started to shimmy about the room. Tanya joined in and we were all laughing, their made-up faces stretched in smiles.
Then someone knocked on the door.
"It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want."

Lyanna heard the knock and froze. Her blood pressure went up several points. She would recognize that knock anywhere. Lyanna gulped and her limbs began to shake. Sadie noticed her obvious discomfort. "What is it?" Lyanna didn't answer and grabbed a towel.

"I need to get this makeup off. Right now." Sadie looked like she was going to ask questions, but repressed them. Lyanna got it off and then came to the door. She was shaking so hard that her knees were hitting each other. She opened the door. There, on the porch, was her parents. They were obviously insanely drunk and furious.

"You are in so much trouble!" They said more things that was mostly profanity. Lyanna was breathing hard. She turned and looked at Tanya and Sadie, who were frozen and staring at the door. "Um... I gotta go guys." Her mother grabbed her arm and wrenched her outside. The door slammed.

OK, was taht a confession or what? But whatever it was, it made me smile...and blush. He looked so funny laughing at himself.
"Well, I think you're pretty good" I said, lowering my gaze and laughing a little.
"ok, then, thanks2 he said, still smiling"
"Well, now let's see. It's my turn. So, you look incredibly handsome in that tux and your smle seems somehow cute tonight"
OH my! I thought, I just said something, I shouldn't have, or shuld have but not at this moment. I took a deep breath and looked at him. He was staring at me shyly.
"Thanks" he muttered.
And I rested my head in his chest and the music finished. The piece was over, but I couldn't help but to think, was I enjoying this? For real? Did I like being with him?

Dylan

"Are you going to open that?"

"Uh, well..." He was shaking uncontrollably.

"Common! Open up!" Another pound on the door.

Dylan got up, and slowly made his way to the door. "Okay, everybody stay out of sight." He saw that David had already disappeared. He opened the door and stared into the face of a lone police officer.

"Excuse me sir, but there have been complaints of some noise."

"Yes, sir. I uh- that is- when I came in earlier I tripped over the cord for the lamp and it fell off its stand. I kinda of- um...fell into the chair as well," Dylan rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm a bit of a clutz."

"I can see that," the officer looked around the room. "Well, son, there are going to be some charges to your bill. And you may have to come down for questioning later."

"Okay," Dylan tried to remain calm. He was about to melt from the shaking he was trying to suppress.

The officer turned and walked down the hall, whistling a faint tune. Dylan closed the door, turned around and fainted.

Sharonda ran out of her hiding place and went to Dylan, who was lying on the floor, out cold. "Dylan, wake up." She said, smacking his cheek gently. Dylan groaned. Sharonda glared at Gillim, who had also come out of hiding. "Gillim, what is wrong with you?!" She shouted. "We could have all been discovered! you need to quit acting like a kid and get your head out of the clouds!" She continued like this for a full minute. She was very angry with him. He should know better. She thought. Dylan opened his eyes. She turned back. "Are you all right?"

Gillim

Gillim's brow furrowed. "Well excuse me for wanting to have a bit of fun-" he began, but Sharonda gave him a rather fierce look and continued ranting. Gillim quailed, thinking it might be best if she got the chance to blow off some steam.

Finally she turned away from him and looked back at Dylan. "Are you all right?" she asked.

As she and Dylan conversed, Gillim quietly made his way towards the window. These people had no sense of humor, and he didn't like the way Sharonda had been able to entrance him earlier to make him behave. As quietly as he could, he slid open the window.
