Donald ~ Secretive ~ Invisibility

The group of students were familiar to Don and he was very glad to see his good friend Farrow amongst them but the question was an odd one. Could he fight? Was there need for him to fight? He was quick, quick enough to save the girls from the falling wall just a moment ago. He cast Desmond a flat look for that. It couldn't have been coincidence that the wall collapsed or that they'd been found. Something was going on here and he didn't like it.

In silence he heard the words pass between Helen and Desmond and was more than certain she had some sort of gift akin to his. The constant flicker of the lights could be no coincidence, in some way she must be controlling that. So what use would a car be to her? Machinery, hmmm, did she perhaps control electricity, technology? How strange and what had given them these powers? Don couldn't help but wonder if they had been intended for this.

Strange that Jem should be there as well if she could not fight. Don agreed with Desmond that it was probably for the best if she went with the other students, he wouldn't want her getting hurt. But him? What should he do? Moving closer to Desmond, Don firmly said, "I may be of some help, I'm quick if nothing else." if nothing else. There was something else and earlier he had though his power a nuissance but at least better than anything anyone else could do. Now though? Invisibility was a mild gift compared to what else might be out there.

The group started moving off and Don followed them but looking back he saw Jem standing watching after them. He paused and looked at her. It would be safer for her elsewhere, why didn't she go? Because she wanted to help and they'd turned her away like she was nothing. What could Don really do? Not much. So who was he to turn Jem away. "If you're going to just stand there, you might be safer with us afterall," Don joked cheerily. "Come along, the other students are long gone anyways."

No, it's not that you didn't succeed. You accomplished a lot, but, if you want to touch people, don't concentrate so much on rhyme and metre. Think more about what you want to say instead of how you're saying it.
