War of the Tsurekin

Skylar rolled out of the bed and jumped up when she hit the floor. SHe looked around and groaned. The bed was smaller then the one she had back at Ivy's mansion. She rolled her eyes and sighed as she rubbed her neck. Tala stood up and smiled as she streched.

"It's to early." Skylar moaned.

"Your the one that woke up first." Tala laughed.

"Shut up." Skylar groaned rubbing her neck.

Skylar checked to see if she woke up Shigure. The girl was still fast asleep. She couldn't help but smile at how peaceful she looked.

"I'm going to get something to eat," Skylar said as she left the room. Tala followed her downstairs to the kitchen. She rummaged around the cupboards to find some cereal.

"Morning."

Skylar looked over her shoulder to see Kai walk in. She caught her breath when she noticed he didn't have a shirt on. The effects of his training were definitely showing. So much was going on yesterday that she didn't notice, but with him standing right there she couldn't help but admire them. He used to look so scrawny when she first met him. Ceder had more muscles than him, but Kai had a nice mid tone. Not too much, but not to little. It was just right.

Kai noticed her staring at him. "Is something wrong?"

"No, I just woke up, I zone out when I'm tired." She half lied as she blinked and then turned and started rumaging in the fridge. She pulled out some eggs and bacon and then got a skillet. "How'd you sleep?" She asked as she fought to keep from blushing as she remembered his chizzled abdomend. She had no right to think about that.


*Oy, I just lost another friend. This is not my year.*

(Losing friends is always tough. I lost a friend once. We were buddies all the way through elementary school, but when we got to middle school he started hanging out with other kids and acted like a jerk toward me. I hope things start to look up for you.)


"All right I guess," he said as he sat down at the table.

"I'm making some eggs and bacon, would you like some?" she asked.

"Sure."

Ryukin walked in a moment later. "Morning," was all he said as he lay down on the floor beside Kai's chair.

"What's wrong with you?" Tala asked.

"I can't stop thinking about that cavern Ivy showed us last night. To think, Draco's resting place is only a two hour drive away from home. The moment he awakens we'll have to fight him just so he doesn't trample over our town."

(((Ya, this one has been screwin up his life and I've always been blunt with my friends so I told him. He talked to me about it and all, and then lied to me. I called him out on it and he's mad at me now and won't talk to me. The old him used to hating lying more then me. But not the new him.)))

"I don't like it either. What if he wakes up early then we're in trouble." Tala sighed. "If that minion woke up early what keeps him from doing the same?"

"I doubt he will." Kai replied as he leaned against the counter.

"He's smarter then the minion, which makes him more dangerous then the minions anyway." Skylar shrugged.

(As people grow up they change, sometimes for the better, or sometimes for the worse. I guess it's just another part of life. But I'm curious as to why he would suddenly start lying to you. Even though people change, there's always a reason behind it.)


"The Tsurekin Agent that hatched from the egg might have just been a coincidence," Ryukin said. "It's getting closer and closer to the time when Draco will awaken, so his powers might be slowly returning to him. It might be affecting some of his servants as well."

Kai nodded. "That's a possibility. But all the more reason for us not to let our guard down. Ceder was right when he said the one that already hatched could appear anywhere at any time. We have no way of knowing until it decides to make its move."

"Ivy said the Agents would be no problem for us once we learn Soul Fusion, but none of us know it yet." Tala pointed out. "Even if it's no where near as strong as Draco the Dragon, it's still stronger than any of us."

(((Well he's 19 with a 16 year old girl toy, that's what he lied about. I get why he lied, but still. )))

"Then we have to work twice as hard. In reality we shouldn't have a vacation. We need to keep working and training." Skylar said turning around with a plate of food. "running in the sand for me is twice as hard. It'll train me better with the same amount of time."

"It was tougher last night." Tala said.

"That would make sense." Kai said.

"So I plan on working out still, a little fun ya, but we can't abandon what we plan on doing." Skylar said.

(Maybe he's just upset. Maybe if you give him some time to calm down you two can be friends again.)


Kai nodded. "I agree. But don't forget that training to get stronger is only part of what we're trying to do. We need to bond with our Tsurekin so we can learn how to use Soul Fusion quicker. Just regular training for me with Ryukin isn't going to do it in the time span I want."

"So what are you planning on doing?" Skylar asked.

Kai closed his eyes and thought for a few moments. "We're here for four more days, right?" he asked.

"That's right."

He nodded. "There are some small mountains just east of here. I'm going there with Ryukin to train." He looked Skylar straight in the eyes when he added, "I don't want anyone to come looking for me until the day we leave."

(((Day they leave?? I'm lost)))

(Kai wants to go into the mountains to train for the rest of the time they're here. He doesn't want anyone to look for him until the day their little vacation is over and they have to go back to Ivy's mansion. Does that clear things up?)

"I'll do what I can." Skylar said. She did her best to keep from being disappointed. She wanted to spend time with him. "Me and Tala will be spending alot of time together too."

"It's a good idea, we need to bond with them. And them with us." Kai replied. She set the food on the table.

"Eat up." She smiled at him as he grabbed two plates and forks then grabbing a few cups then pouring oj.

(Skylar just needs to tell them it's for his training. If he doesn't want anyone to come after him they'll respect his wishes. He is the leader after all.)


Kai ate quickly so he could leave before anyone else woke up. It was the last home cooked meal he would have for the next four days, so he made sure to eat his fill. When he was done he went up to his room to get dressed. He put a few pairs of clean clothes into a bag, as well as a pot and pan from the kitchen to cook with. He found a tent in one of the closets that he brought with him, too. That was all he took with him. He said good bye to Skylar and Tala before he and Ryukin walked out the door.

Everyone else started to walk up a few minutes later. They all came downstairs to see Sky had made them all breakfast. They sat down and started to eat when Sean noticed Kai's absence. "Hey, where's Kai?"

"He went to go train. Didn't want to stop for a vacation." She replied sipping a glass of milk.

"Where?" Becky asked.

"He didn't want anyone to know so he isn't disrupted." Skylar replied.

"I need to know if we need him." Ivy said.

"If we need him I'll tell you where." She replied.

"SO you know." Ivy asked.

"Yes."

"Alright, long as someone does it's fine." Ivy replied as she continued to eat.

"How long is he going to be training for?" Sean asked.

"Four days," Skylar said.

Everyone looked at her as if they thought she was joking. "Are you serious? He's not coming back for four days?" Ty asked.

Sky nodded. "He said he wanted a quicker way to bond with Ryukin so he can use Soul Fusion quicker."

"That kid sure is committed," Akira said.

"That's why he is our leader." Skylar replied. "Me and Tala are going for a run, we'll see y'all at dinner." She said as she turned and walked out the door Tala on her heels.

"Where are we going?" Tala asked.

"Somewhere we can have some fun." Skylar smiled.

"I thought we were running." Tala replied confussed.

"We are, but we're going to play aroudn too. Mix work and play." She smiled.
