"Follow me," Ivy said. She led them down the length of the beach until they came to a small escarpment. She stopped in front of a large oddly shaped rock leaning against the wall. Sahara pushed it to the side to reveal a dark tunnel.
"Where does that lead to?" Sean asked.
"Somewhere very important," Ivy said as she pulled out a flashlight. "Watch where you're going, it's very easy to hit your head in this tunnel." Everyone followed her into the tunnel. About five minutes in, she said, "Kurt and I found this place three years ago when he brought me to this beach on a date. He and I are the only ones who know about it. I had my beach house built nearby and bought the surrounding land as private property so no one would stumble across it."
They finally got to the end of the tunnel and entered a giant cavern. There were five pillars in the center surrounding a round egg shaped statue. The walls of the cavern were filled with symbols from another language and pictures of dragons. The ceiling was perfectly flat and completely covered with glowing crystals. Every crystal was the same shape and spiralled inward to a larger crystal in the centre. Oddly enough, the largest one was the only one not glowing.
Ivy pointed to the crystals. "There are exactly nine hundred and ninety nine small crystals on that ceiling. Each crystal represents one year. When we first found this place, the three crystals closest to the centre one were not glowing. The one in the centre represents the thousandth year.
"Is that what you wanted to show us?" Kai asked.
She shook her head. "No. What I wanted you to see was this." She went to stand beside the egg shaped statue.
"What is that supposed to be?" Skylar asked.
"What you see before you is the egg of Draco the Dragon."
(Just a reminder, Draco the Dragon is one of the five Tsurekin Lords. And just a heads up, they won't be able to destroy it no matter how hard they try. So how's that for a twist?)
