War of the Tsurekin

(I was thinking of having a time jump to about two weeks later when Ivy takes everyone to her private beach house for three days. Everyone will think it's a chance to relax from all their training, but there's another reason why she's bringing them there. You leave that part to me. You want to do the time jump?)

Two weeks later Skylar checked all her bags and then carried them down to the limo. She loaded them in the back and then got in with teh rest of the group sitting down at the end of the limo with Tala at her feet. She leaned back and crossed her legs closing her eyes a little as she listened to the converstation around her.

"I can't wait until we get to just relax." Ceder was saying. She took a deep breath and frowned a little and tehn she opened her eyes again and looked around. Something was off, but she couldn't figure it out. She shook her head. She was going on vacation. if the smell continued she'd mention it. Otherwise it could just be a real animal, or something.

As soon as everyone was inside and ready to go they began to drive. Sky looked out the back window to see Sean's car following them. The limo was big, but there just wasn't enough room for everyone and their Tsurekin. Sean and Kai had to take the car, with Ryukin and Reiky in the back seat and Kuma in the trunk. Sean's trunk was a lot bigger than it looked, she was actually surprised they were able to fit the bear into it.

"How long did you saw the drive was going to be?" Ty asked.

"About two hours at the most," Ivy said.

"I sure hope Kuma can take staying in the trunk for that long," Ceder said.

"I'm so excited about getting there," Elise said. "I bought a new swimsuit just for this trip." She turned to Skylar, who was sitting beside her, and said, "I still don't see why you wouldn't come with me when I was picking one out."

"My old one is still in good condition. I don't need a new swimsuit."

"The seams are starting to rip on yours, though." Elise leaned in closer to whisper, "Besides, it'll be your chance to look sexy for Kai."

Skylar's face flushed red as she scowled at the girl. "Shut up!" Elise laughed at her reaction.

Elise turned to Shigure, who was sitting across from them, and asked, "What about you, Shigure? You packed pretty light, I don't think I even saw you pack a swimsuit."

"I don't have one," she said in her usual cold voice.

"Then how are you going to get it the water?"

Ivy piped in. "There's a strip mall not too far from my beach house. When we're all settled in I can have my driver take you there."

"Then it's settled. The three of us are going shopping." Skylar started to say something, but Elise interrupted her. "I'll drag you there myself if I have to, Skylar."

Skylar shut up and shook her head. "You've got to be kidding." She growled. "It's not going to be a two piece."

"Oh yes it is!" Elise grinned. "No choice, we'll find one you like, don't worry about it."

"Your insane." Skylar growled. "I don't wear two pieces for a reason!"

"CAuse your scared of people's reactions." Elise replied. "No arguing."

"This is why I hang out with guys. I could be in sweats and they wouldn't care."

"No wonder you've always been single." Elise laughed. Skylar felt her face flare red again and she crossed her arms.

"Elise, hush." She sighed.

(Man, my internet connection has been really slow lately. It takes me a few minutes just to load up the site, and downloads that should only take about twenty minutes range anywhere from 6 to 12 hours. I can't even watch any of my favorite videos online because the time it takes just for them to load is three times the length of the video itself. It started on Wednesday. I was just watching a video and everything was going fine, but half way through the video stopped loading and I couldn't watch the rest of it because of how slow the internet connection had become. I sent an email to someone in charge, so hopefully the problem will be fixed soon.)


The rest of the drive went pretty smoothly. There was a hidden movie screen built into the front of the passenger area so they were able to watch something through the whole trip. Ivy was rich, there was no doubt about that, but Skylar and the others just couldn't seem to grasp just how rich she was. Once in a while one of them would see something in the mansion and think, how can she afford something like that? At this point, they all were pretty much expecting there to be a hidden switch somewhere in Ivy's office that opened a passage to a secret lair.

The two hours seemed to fly by. Before they knew it they were pulling up to the large beach house by the shore. It was about half the size of Ivy's mansion, but it was still larger than most traditional ones. It looked to be made entirely out of wood. It sat on top of a small grassy hill surrounded by trees. They couldn't see much of the other side, but since it was a beach house it was most likely right next to the sand.

They all started getting out of the limo one-by-one. When Skylar got out she looked around to try and find Sean's car. "Weren't Sean and Kai supposed to be behind us?" she asked.

"They might have run into traffic along the way. They'll probably be here in a few minutes," Ivy said. "Now, bring your stuff inside so we can figure out who's sleeping where. There's only six rooms so some of your are going to have to bunk together."

(Kai and Sean are going to show up when everyone else is done unpacking. They ended up getting lost along the way. I was thinking of assigning the rooms like this: Ivy and Akira will each have their own room, Kai and Sean will bunk together, so will Elise and Becky, Ty and Ceder, and Skylar and Shigure. I was thinking the only reason she'll agree to bunking with Shigure is because she doesn't trust her alone with Elise or Becky.)

(((That's gotta stink. I know how it is. I had it that way til dad hooked me back up to our internet here at the house. Before I was stealing other peoples internet. And that works for me. )))

Skylar got her stuff and followed everyone inside where they were show the rooms.

"Pick who you're going to stay with and then get packed up." Ivy said. Skylar kept from biting her lip as she looked at the four girls. Someone was going to have to stay with Shigure and she sure didn't want it to be little Becky. Elise walked over.

"Can you bunk with Shigure?" She asked after Shigure left to put her stuff in one of the rooms saying whoever was going to stay with her could come in whenever. "Please, I dont' want to."

"Alright." Skylar sighed. "Might as well." They split up and she walked into the room throwing her stuff onto the bed as Tala streched out at her feet watching everything.

"I'm a little surprised you decided to bunk with me," Shigure said.

"Someone has to keep an eye on you," Skylar replied.

"It's been two weeks and you still don't trust me." She made it sound more like a statement rather than a question.

"There's not too many people I trust," Skylar said.

Shigure didn't press the topic. She simply went back to sorting her things.

About fifteen minutes later they finished unpacking. Elise was waiting at the front door for Skylar and Shigure. "Ready for some shopping?" she asked.

"Not really," Skylar said. Shigure didn't even bother saying anything, but somehow Skylar could tell she had the same opinion as she did.

Elise frowned. "Come on, you two are the only two girls I can relate with. Becky is a kid and Ivy and Akira are too old. We're going shopping and you're both going to have fun, and that's final."

Skylar rolled her eyes. "Whatever, let's just get this over with."

They exited the house and made their way over to the limo. Sean's car pulled into the driveway at that moment. Sean went to open the trunk while Kai let Ryukin out of the back seat. When Ryukin was out, Kai said, "I still can't believe you did that."

"How was I supposed to know there was a family driving right beside us?" the dragon asked.

"You scared those kids half to death! You should have been more careful."

Sean finally got the trunk open. Kuma scrambled out as fast as he could. "Fresh air!"

"Sorry you had to ride in the trunk," Sean said. "We'll let someone else ride in the trunk on the way back home."

The girls approached the men on their way to the limo. "What took you two so long?" Skylar asked.

"Sean got us lost," Kai said.

Sean piped in. "Hey, you were the one with the map!"

"Well you were the one who missed the exit on the 204!"

"It's not my fault, that jerk in the truck cut me off!"

"We're going shopping." Elise said grabbing Shigure and Skylar's hands.

"Your taking them shopping and neither has knocked you out and taken off?" Sean asked with a laugh. "Wow, your a magician."

"Thanks for the help." Skylar growled with a smile. Elise shrugged and pulled them towards the limo.

"Y'all want to come?" She called back at them.

"No, we're good." Sean laughed as they walked towards the house.

Skylar looked in the mirror for the second time.

"Come out, Sky, please!" Elise said. "The last one looked great, this one can only look better." Skylar ignored her as she turned around. She didn't look half bad in the bikini. When she finally came out her arms were wrapped around her waist like they had with the rest of the suits Elise had had her try on.

"Must you?!" Elise hissed pulling her arms away and looking over her. "I think this one is perfect, how about you Shigure, what do you think?"

Shigure just stared blankly at the two of them. "I don't really care." She had said the same thing about everything else Skylar had tried on.

"Well, I think it looks great," Elise said. "I'm sure if Kai sees you in this he'll be all over you!"

Skylar blushed again. She frowned and said, "Would you knock it off already?"

"Are we done here yet?" Shigure asked.

Elise turned to her and said, "Of course not, we still need to find one for you." She started to go through a nearby rack and found another two piece swimsuit. "Ah, here we go. This one is perfect for your size."

Shigure took one look at the outfit and said, "I'm not wearing that."

"Oh, yes you are." Elise grabbed Shigure by the shoulders and pushed her into the changing room.

"Wha- hey! Let me go!" Shigure tried to struggle, but short of hurting Elise there was nothing she could do that wouldn't cause a scene. Seeing Elise drag her into the small room earned a smile from Skylar, at least she was being forced to go through the same thing she was.

Skylar could hear their voices from the other side of the door. "Hey, what do you think you're doing!?" Shigure shouted.

"You're gonna have to lose those clothes," Elise said.

"Wait, don't touch me there!"

"Quit squirming!"

"I said stop it!"

Skylar couldn't help but laugh. Shigure always acted cold around everyone. Witnessing her so flustered made the trip to the mall seem worth it.

The door opened a minute later. "There, that wasn't so bad now was it?" Elise asked.

The swimsuit Shigure wore was just as revealing as Skylar's, if not more. She could see the effort in Shigure's face as she tried to keep her composure, even though her blushing put all that effort to waste.

Skylar got changed back and they bought the swim suits heading towards the beach house.

"Everyone is going swimming when we get back." Elise grinned. Skylar swallowed. She really didn't want to wear that suit. She wouldn't be able to keep from blushing bright red. She took a deep breath and looked at the bag at her feet. "You're wearing it." Elise said as if she was reading Skylar's mind.

"We'll see." She replied as she looked at Elise. Elise rolled her eyes shaking her head.

After Elise told everyone that they'd meet on the beach in a few minutes after they all changed. She waited until she'd forced them to get changed and then pushed them outside onto the beach. Skylar had her towel wrapped around her as she went. Once they'd gotten on the beach Elise snatched her towel before she could do anything.

"ELISE!" She hissed her arms automatically wrapping around her waist.

She heard one of the guys whistle and shout, "Looking good, Skylar!"

She turned and glared at them. "Which one of you was that?" Ceder pointed at Sean. Skylar considered giving him a good smack, but decided against it. Knowing Sean he would just find it funny.

"Hey, where's Shigure going?" Ty asked.

Both Skylar and Elise turned to see the girl running back to the beach house with her towel still wrapped around her body. "You're not getting away that easy, Shigure!" Elise shouted before chasing after her.

Now it was just Skylar with the boys. At least she wasn't the only girl on the beach. Akira was nearby, sunbathing on a towel. Becky and Usagi were sitting beside her playing in the sand. But where was Ivy? "Hey, Akira. Why isn't Ivy out here with you?" Skylar asked.

"Kurt came over while you girls were out shopping," she said. "They're getting lovey dovey in the hot tub on the balcony."

"I'll stay down here then." Skylar said before chewing on her lip. "Well, now what?" She heard a gasp and then spun around as Elise ran back towards them with Shigure's towel and hide behind Ceder.

"Don't let her kill me!" She laughed as Shigure stood there hands on her hips her cheeks bright red. Skylar took that chance to take off for the water at full speed. She slowed down once she was out there sinking down to the bottom for a second before coming back up.

(I was thinking, what if Ty and Shigure start liking each other?)

"Give it back," Shigure demanded.

"But you look so sexy," Elise said. "If I give it back, you'll just cover yourself back up."

"I agree with Elise," Akira said. "It's a very nice change from what you usually wear. I'll bet you drove all the boys crazy back in Japan."

Shigure blushed even harder. "Urusai!" she shouted. Her reaction made everyone laugh.

Ty snuck up behind Elise and swiped the towel from her grasp. He went up to Shigure and handed it to her. She grabbed the towel, but Ty didn't let go. "If you want it back, you have to stay out here with us. No running back to the house to hide, all right?"

Shigure stared at him for a moment before sighing. "Fine." Ty smiled and let go of the towel.

With everything settled they decided to play frisbee. By some miracle Shigure actually agreed to play with them. Kai didn't join in, though. He went into the water and swam to where Skylar was floating. When he was beside her he looked back at everyone else and said, "I think this trip was a great idea. It looks like Shigure is starting to loosen up a bit."

(((Gives her more reason to stay. )))

"You should've heard her when Elise made her try that on. It's the only one she had to try on, but it was great." She smiled as she watched them. "She's not horribly bad."

"So your warming up to her." He said it more as a statement.

"I still don't like her. But I don't all together hate her either." Skylar replied. "She's just got a hard exterior, there is probably a really cool girl beneath it all." She shrugged and sighed. "I'm getting soft."

"No, your just trusting a little better now." He smiled. She blushed and looked at the water.

"Long as that trust isn't torn apart. And I don't trust her yet. I just said she wasn't horrible." She replied shaking her head. "She's still off in some way, it's just that there is probably a real good reason she is. That's all."

"And I'm sure she'll let us know what that reason is when she's ready." Kai turned to face Skylar and said, "What about you?"

"What do you mean?" Skylar asked.

"Now that I think about it, you never told us much about why it's so hard for you to trust somebody."

Skylar looked away. "It's a touchy subject for me..."

"If you don't feel comfortable talking about it, I won't press the subject."
