War of the Tsurekin

"Well she has some serious apologizing to do before I accept her." Skylar replied crossing her arms.

"Seriously? Skylar unless your nice to her she has no reason to be nice to you." Kai replied.

"I don't care. I have a bad feeling about her, and thats that." She replied.

"You had one about Elise too." Sean replied with a smile.

"That was a different bad feeling." She replied sourly. "And she approached me about mending that. I don't like this girl. I'm the non-trusting one in this group, remember?" She forced a smile.

"We need her, that's the end of it." Kai replied.

"Just cause we need her doesn't mean I have to like her. I won't do anything drastic, but I'm not going to be nice to her until she gets nice, if then. Until this feeling goes away, she's on the list of people to watch." Skylar got up and walked towards her room. "And don't try and talk me out of it! I. Don't. Like. Her. Mark my words, she's bad news."

"Skylar, stop over exaterating." Sean called after her.

"I'm not!" She stormed into her room shutting the door and then laying on her bed.

"What do you think she is up to?" Tala asked.

"I don't know, it's not really what she is up to. But her personality. She can't be trusted. I have a feeling she is someone that likes to minipulate and ugh, I don't know how to explain it. But I've just got this feeling. Don't team up with them."

"I'm not, I'm just curious. I agree with Reiky, I don't like her Tsurekin." Tala replied.

"Good, we agree. I'm going to sleep."


**Hope it's ok. She won't get suspicious that she is part of the Tsurekansan, but she'll just have a bad feeling about her. LIke a bad gut feeling something is wrong, I get those, and I hate them cause their always right and sometimes I don't want them to be. Anyway, she wont get what exactly she's up to, but she'll not like her. Sorry for being repetitive. **

(What I'm trying to do is with the time they all spend together they start warming up to her, and Shigure starts liking being a part of The Aushalten. So when the time comes for her to betray them she feels guilty, so she tries to win back their favour in order to be with them again.)


Sean sighed. "Seriously, that girl has some major trust issues. It's a wonder she doesn't sleep with a knife under her pillow every night."

"She's not entirely at fault. Shigure was acting a little harshly toward everyone," Kai said. "I'll try talking to her after our training tomorrow."

Sean yawned. "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm ready to crash. I'll see you in the morning."

"Good night." They both retreated to their rooms for the night.


(Let's do a time skip to the next morning when their morning training begins.)

Skylar streeched as she watched Ivy telling everyone what they needed to do. "Skylar, these are weights I want you and Tala to carry as you run at full speed. This will strenghten both your running and your muscles. By the lunch I want you to be able to carry these two big ones." Skylar nodded as she popped her neck and then walked over to the weights picking up the two twenty pounders. She attached the weights that looked like a bag to Tala's back and then picked hers up. She put them in the back pack that Ivy had for her and then she took off at full speed.

"What should I do today?" Kai asked.

"Do you feel confident with your control over your strength?" Ivy asked.

"Yes, I do."

"Do you remember that boulder I had those men bring in last week?" she asked.

"Is was wondering why that was there," Kai said as he looked across the field at a huge rock that was more than twice his height in size. It was all the way at the edge of the property, near the spot on the wall that Taura had destroyed weeks ago.

"You and Ryukin will be working together to move it. By the end of the week, I want it to be on the other side of the mansion."

Kai looked back at the mansion. It was one of the biggest houses in the area, with the property taking up almost four blocks in space. He looked back at the rock, for a normal person it would be impossible to move without a crane or something. "Are you sure I can do it?" he asked.

"That's up to you, Kai."

Kai was silent for a moment, then nodded. "I'll give it my best." He began to walk over with Ryukin, but stopped and asked, "By the way, where's Akira? Isn't she up yet?"

"Hora, hora. Why is the sun so bright?" They both looked to see Akira coming out of the mansion with Mirage. She was wearing sunglasses and was holding a heat pack up to her head.

Ivy sighed and shook her head. "Akira had a little too much to drink last night, and now she has a hangover."

"Hey, I only had three drinks," she said.

"No you didn't. It was twelve, remember?"

Akira scratched her head. "Really? All I remember is drinking my third glass, then everything went fuzzy."

Sahara, who had been sitting beside Ivy the whole time, looked at Mirage and said, "Why do you continue to let your master do this to herself?"

"Because she won't listen to me even if I try," Mirage said in a voice similar to Sahara's, but deeper.

Akira kneeled down beside her Tsurekin and patted him on the head. "Don't worry, kitty. Next time I won't drink so much."

"That's what you said last time," he mumbled.

"Ivy?" Ty said. He and the others were still waiting in a group for her to assign them their training for the day. "Shigure isn't here."

"She's already started her training."

"When did you assign it to her?" Ceder asked.

"I didn't, she was up long before any of us." She pointed at the patch of trees where Kai and Ryukin were trained by Sahara that first night. "She's training over there right now."


(If you plan on having Skylar walk in on Shigure's training, Shigure is going to throw something at her out of reflex that misses her head by a few inches.)

Skylar headed back towards the house stopping for a few seconds when she saw Shigure training. Shigure froze and spun around right before something flew at Skylar. Skylar dropped quickly eyes blazing.

"What the hell!" She snapped standing back up and looking at the knife.

"Don't sneak up on someone." Shigure replied.

"I didn't! Skylar growled. "I simply stopped, just cause your deaf and didn't hear me doesn't give you right to try and kill me." Skylar turned and ran back towards the house anger boiling in her with adrenaline. She dropped the bag and grabbed another changing out Tala's and then looking at where Ivy was talking to Akira.

"I really don't like Shigure." She hissed at Tala who nodded before they tore off again.

Kai and Ryukin stood in front of the boulder. "So Ryukin, think we can move it?"

"Ivy wouldn't have given us this training if the didn't think we could do it," he answered.

Kai nodded. "Then we'd better get started if we're going to move this to the other side by the end of the week."

Before they moved behind the rock, Kai saw Skylar running in their direction. She seemed angry about something. When she started to get close, Kai asked, "Skylar, what's wrong?"

"Don't talk to me!" she shouted back as she and Tala ran past him.

When they were gone, Ryukin said, "She seems to be in a fowl mood this morning."

"I probably has something to do with Shigure. I'll talk to her when our morning training is over. But right now, we've got to start moving this rock."

Skylar ran as fast as she could her jaw clenched as she took off. "Had no right to try and kill me. If I was any of the others she have suceeded." She growled as she kept running her legs tiring from the heavy weight. She turned back and headed back as she reached teh end she didn't think her legs could go another step as she pulled the weights off and then moved around to get her breathing back to normal as she waited for the others to finish.


**UGH, sorry my brain isn't awake yet even though I've been up for a while.**

Kai was the second one to finish. He ended up moving the rock about fifteen yards. He had to step it up if he was going to get it to its destination by the end of the week.

He and Ryukin went to where Skylar was pacing around. She was still fuming over whatever had happened, it showed in her walk. Kai came up to her and asked, "Skylar, what's wrong?"

"Shigure almost killed me!" she shouted.

"What!?"

"All I did was stop to take a look at what she was doing, and the bitch threw a knife at me! If I hadn't dropped when I did the thing would have gone right through my skull!"

Kai noticed Shigure and Kaeru heading in their direction. They must have finished their morning training as well. Kai sighed and approached her. "Shigure, may I speak with you?"

Shigure looked up at him with her cold eyes for a moment, then said, "Sure." She followed Kai around the side of the mansion, out of everyone's sight.

Skylar watched them walk off and she frowned as she kept walking. She took a deep breath as she felt her muscles relax and her breathing go back to normal. When she knew she was done cooling off she slowly sat down and laid back on the grass looking up at the sky.

"Skylar, don't worry about her. We'll get trained well enough and she'll come around or I'm sure she'll disappear." Tala said laying next to her.

"She tried to kill me!" Skylar hissed.

"I understand, and I'm as mad as you. But it's affecting how you are treating everyone. Including Kai." Tala replied.

"How am I supposed to act?" She asked as she took a deep breath.

"Just how you are." Tala replied.

"Skylar?"

Sky looked up to see Kai and Shigure standing behind her. She got to her feet and said, "Yeah?"

"I think Shigure has something she wants to say," Kai said.

Shigure looked up at Kai, then back at Skylar. "I'm sorry for throwing that knife at you. It's a reflex I developed from my previous training. But in the future please try not to sneak up on me, for your own safety." Her voice was still its usual cold self, but it still took a lot of guts for a girl like her to say that.

Skylar eyed her. She hadn't snuck up on her. She felt Tala hit her leg and she frowned. "I'll try not to." She replied as she crossed her arms.

"Lunch!" Ivy yelled. "THe others will finish when they finish." Skylar turned and walked towards the building.

"She apologized, it wasn't easy for her." Tala said.

"I know." Skylar replied. "She didn't really mean it though."

"Let me guess, you never forgave her." Tala replied.

"Nope." Skylar replied walking into the building and taking a seat.

For the most part they ate lunch in silence. When everyone was finished eating they all headed back outside as a group to start their afternoon sparring session. Akira was still trying to get over her hangover. She was laying down in one of the sun loungers under an umbrella with a sleep mask over her eyes.

Ivy shook her head. "Akira, if your hangover is that bad, then why don't you go lay down inside?"

"I have to help you train them, don't I?"

"It's not like your helping from that chair anyway."

"Whatever, just keep it down."

Ivy sighed as she turned back to the rest of the group. "The first match today will be Skylar against Shigure."


(If Tala attacks in your next post, no matter what she does she won't be able to hit Kaeru.)

Skylar clenched her jaw a little as she moved otu to the spot. She stood behind Tala who crouched a little.

"We haven't seen them fight, so we'll let them attack first." Skylar said softly as she looked at Shigure. She would enjoy taking her down. If she could get a clear shot at her she would go full speed at the girl. She didn't care if when she took her down if it hurt or not, she just wanted to put the girl in her place. If she lost, she'd work her ass off to get better and to win the next time. She stood in her normal half crouch like Tala did when they normally fought, her eyes were looking in every direction. She breathed in and chewed the inside of her lip. She'd found out that when a Tsurekin was about to attack the smell of its master grew a tad stronger. She planned to use that to her advantage if she could.

Kaeru's mouth began to open. That's when Skylar caught a whiff of Shigure's scent coming off of him.

"Now, Tala!" she shouted. Tala raced forward, aiming to attack the metal frog before it could move.

For a split second it looked like Kaeru's tongue twitched, then Tala was suddenly flying backward. She landed on the ground somewhere behind Skylar.

Skylar turned to her and said, "Tala, are you all right?"

That's when she heard Shigure's voice right behind her say, "Soboku na." Skylar whipped around with her arm outstretched to strike her. Shigure grabbed onto her swinging arm and, using some kind of jujitsu move, threw her onto the ground.

"The match is over, Shigure and Kaeru win," Ivy said.
