War of the Tsurekin

"Sounds good to me, long as I have somewhere to stay." Elise smiled.

"We'll set you up in a room in a little bit." Ivy replied as she finished her food. "Now, Kai, Sean, and Skylar, you need to get back to your training."

"Ok." All three said getting up and excusing themselves.

"Hang out for thirty minutes so your food can settle, then begin." Ivy called aftr them. They walked to the pool and sat around it. Skylar laid on one of the flat chairs and closed her eyes, then sat up.

"What do y'all think about her?" She asked.

"Who?" Sean asked looking over at her.

"Elise." She replied.

"I can't say yet, don't know her well enough." Sean shrugged, then looked at Kai. "She seems to like you though." He smiled teasingly. Skylar bit her tounge to keep from making a comment about that.

Kai blushed a little. "You thinks so?"

Skylar shook her head. She tried to change the subject. "What about Becky? When did Ivy find her and Usagi?"

Ryukin piped in. "She left the mansion about an hour before you guys woke up, then she came back with Becky five minutes after you left for school. She said she found her in an orphanage. Apparently, Sahara leaves the mansion every night to search for more people with Tsurekin. That's how Ivy found her."

"Cool." Skylar said. "I wonder how many more he'll bring in."

"Who knows, but hopefully alot." Sean replied. "So, Kai, what do you think of Elise?" Skylar wanted to tackle him for not letting it drop. She didn't want to hear Kai's reply.

"Y'all chat, I've got laps to run." She said getting up and walking to the house before she started to run, Tala at her side.

"Whats wrong?" Tala asked.

"Nothing." She growled. "Nothing at all!"

"Your upset, and you still had ten to fifteen minutes to rest." Tala replied.

"I didn't want to rest anymore." She replied.

"You didn't want to hear what he had to say." Tala replied.

"Same thing."

(Wanna do a time jump to the last day of school after they finish their exams? It'll be about a two or three week jump.)


"Anyway, what do you think of Elise?" Sean repeated.

"She seems nice," Kai said.

"That's it? Nothing else?"

"What do you mean?"

"Come on, Kai. She kept looking at you during lunch. First Brittney, now Elise. I wish the girls would come after me like they do with you."

"Now that you mention it, wasn't Skylar acting weird when Brittney was trying to get close to me?" Kai asked.

"Yeah."

"She's acting weird again now that Elise is here."

Sean shrugged. "Who knows what she's thinking?"


(All I could think of. I need to help my sister clean off the dining room table.)

Skylar sighed as she walked outside. She was finally done with all the exams. She watched as Sean and Kai walked outside and over to where she was.

"I can't wait to relax." Sean smiled.

"That won't happen with Ivy on our tails. We'll be doing training after training if she has a say in it and she does." Skylar replied shrugging.

"Elise is lucky she didn't get enrolled in school." Sean sighed. "I'd give anything to be in her place."

"I rather not get behind in school." Kai replied.

"True, very true." Sean shrugged. "Lets get back though, I want to see what Ivy has in store for us today."

Yay, we get to go back to where Elise can continue to flirt with Kai, just what I wanted. The past three weeks had been torcher for Skylar, she'd barely been able to keep her mouth shut. She had no claim to Kai so she couldn't say anything to stop it, but it bugged her. She'd bury herself in training or schoolwork when it got to the point that she thought she would bust.

"Earth to Skylar, lets go." Sean said pushing her shoulder. She blinked and then nodded.

"Race you back." She smiled jumping on her bike and revving the engine.

They managed to get back without being pulled over, which was a miracle considering how many times they broke the law while driving. Kai was just glad they didn't end up crashing.

"Don't race like that again," Kai pleaded as they came to the front door. "Do you know how dangerous that was?"

"Relax, you're way too uptight," Sean said. He reached for the door and opened it.

As soon as they stepped foot into the front room, they were met with a loud roar. At first they thought it was Sahara or Ryukin, but what greeted them at the door was neither. A large white and black striped metal tiger stood in front of them, its teeth barred and its body crouched, ready to strike.

"Ryukin!" Kai called instinctively. The metal dragon came rushing two seconds later from another room. He stopped between Kai and the their new friend and readied himself for a fight.

"Hora, hora. What do you think you're doing, Mirage?" An Asian woman appeared from one of the rooms. She had medium length red hair done in a messy ponytail that left strands going off in different directions. She wore a tank top under her sports jacket, a pair of jeans with one of the knees ripped out, and sandals. She looked to be in her late twenties.

The tiger was suddenly docile. There was no sign of threat from it anymore.

The woman came to stand beside the Tsurekin. "Mattaku, didn't I tell you not to attack anyone here?" The tiger said nothing. The woman turned to face the others, and her gaze locked on Ryukin. "Wow, that's a cool looking Tsurekin you've got there." She kneeled down in front of Ryukin and said, "What's your name?"

"Uh... Ryukin," he said.

"Metal dragon? What a clever name."

"Excuse me," Kai said. "Who are you?"

Ivy and Sahara emerged from the same room the woman came from. "Oh, you're all home. I see you've met Akira."

"Do you know each other?" Skylar asked.

Ivy nodded. "Akira was one of my colleagues during the Tsurekin expedition. She's been helping me find more clues about Tsurekin by traveling to different dig sites and joining all kinds of expeditions around the world. She's originally from Japan."

Akira made a peace sign with her fingers and said, "Yoroshiku!"


(Just so you know, when Akira's words are in italics, it means she's speaking Japanese. You don't have to worry about duplicating her mannerisms when you post, since I know you probably don't know any Japanese.)

Skylar said Tala walk in the room and stand next to her. "How'd the tests go?" Ivy asked.

"Fine." Sean shrugged. "Their tests, their not good, not always bad, so they were fine." She smiled and nodded.

"Good, well we will be doing more training starting tomorrow. I figured sense you had so many exams today you could have the day off. If you would like Elise and everyone else are in the game room." Ivy smiled looking at Kai. Skylar's insides twisted as she saw the smirk on Sean's face.

"Sounds good." Sean smiled. "Lets go." He took off for the game room.

"I'm going to put my stuff in my room." Skylar said. "It was nice meeting you, Akira."

"You too, Skylar." Akira smiled. Skylar walked towards her room Tala right at her side.

When they left, Akira said, "So, Ryukin is the descendant of Draco the Dragon?" Akira asked.

Ivy nodded. "That's right. His master is Kai, the boy who called him when Mirage almost attacked them."

"What can I say? Mirage just isn't good around new people," she said. "Kai is that kid you were telling me about, ne?"

"That's right."

Akira smiled and began to rub her chin. "That kid is pretty cute if you ask me. You know, if I was ten years younger..."

Ivy cleared her throat to get Akira's attention. "I think we should focus on the business at hand. Were you able to find anything at the dig site in Greece?"

Akira pulled out a folder from under her jacket and handed it to Ivy. "It looks like your hunch was right. Tsurekin have appeared in more places than just Egypt in the past. From what I gathered, it seems the Tsurekin Lords awaken in different parts of the world from each other, and their location changes each thousand years."

"The only question is, why?" Ivy said as she opened the folder and looked at the first photo. It was of a pot with pictures painted on it. The first picture was of a man standing beside a wolf, the next was the same picture, except the man was kneeling down touching the wolf. The third picture was of a werewolf.

Ivy's eyes widened a bit when she saw the next photo. It was of a dragon, sphinx, hydra, basilisk, and phoenix, and overshadowing them all was a man with rays of light coming from his body. "What's this?" Ivy asked.

"It was painted on the other side of pot from the first picture."

Ivy stared at it. She knew that the five creatures represented the Tsurekin Lords, but what did the shining man represent...?


(I was thinking of introducing at least three new characters. Two of them can be brothers, and one of them can be another girl. I was also thinking of making one of their Tsurekin a bear. You think you could think up some new characters with that in mind?)

(Sorry, I meant new caracters that Sahara had already found during the time between when we did the time jump and now. That means they already live in the mansion. You think you could edit your last post so they find them in the games room? If you can't think of the girl character, I can bring her in on my next post. If you can, great. Just remember, her Tsurekin can't be a descendant of one of the Tsurekin Lords, they have to have special introductions. )

Skylar got changed into a pair of sweat pants and then a tank top. She pulled her hair back in a lose pony tail and looked at Tala.

"You can't put it off anymore." Tala said as she laid down looking up at Skylar.

"I know." She sighed. She walked towards the door and Tala got up following her. They walked down to the game room where Ceder and his younger brother were playing a Wii game as Elise sat next to Kai talking.

"Hey, Sky, you still owe me a game." Ceder called over as he knocked out Ty, his little brother. Ceder stood at a good 6'4 and his shoulders were as broad as at least two of Skylar's.

"Sounds fine with me." She said as she walked over. Ty handed her his Wii remote and stood to the side. He was smaller then his brother and wasn't as muscular. Ceder's Tsurekin was a bear that never was out of site of him, and Ty's was a anaconda snake that was at least six foot long. She heard Elise laughing and her back stiffened. She really didn't want to be in the same room as them right now.

(Don't forget to give the new Tsurekin names. I suppose we can introduce another character later. The brothers are enough for now.)


Sahara had found Ceder and Ty a week ago. The school they went to had an earlier exam date than Kai and the others, which was why they weren't at school. The brothers had already discovered their powers from the bonds they shared with their Tsurekin, and Elise discovered her's a week and a half after she moved into the mansion.

Ceder's power was brute strength, even more so than Kai's. The two of them had started to become friends because of the time they spent together in the weight room. Ty's power was the ability to move around without making noise, so Ivy was putting him through various stealth exercises. As for Elise, her power was swimming so every day she had to swim back and forth in the pool. Skylar didn't like it because it meant she had an excuse to show off her body in a skin-tight bathing suit around Kai, every day.

As Skylar went to take the Wii-mote from Ty, Sean said, "Everyone, Ivy said we could have the day off today. How 'bout we all head over to the mall? We might be able to get to the arcade before the crowd shows up."


(By the way, when Tala said "You can't put it off anymore," was she refering to Skylar getting a hair cut, or was it something else?)

"Why not." Ceder smiled. "After I beat Sky." She laughed.

"That's not going to happen in the least." Sky replied with a smile. She made her person punch several times in a row and Ceder held the remote tighter crushing it. "Ceder, that's the fifth one!"

"Well their fragile." He growled as they shut the game off. "I'll beat you later." He picked her up and tucked her under his arm like a football as he walked towards the door.

"Stay here, Quincy." Ty said to his Tsurekin.

"Ya, you too, Kuma." Ceder said to his Tsurekin. Skylar didn't bother to tell Tala to stay knowing full well she wouldn't listen. Thy walked outside and Skylar finally got free.

"You smell like woods." Skylar said bunching her nose up.

"That's a good thing." He replied.

"Whose in the car with me?" Sean asked.

"I claim front!" Ty said jumping in the front seat.

"I'm taking my bike." Skylar replied.

"Can I ride?" Ceder asked. She nodded.

"That puts me and Kai in the back." Elise smiled. Skylar bit the inside of her lip knowing that she couldn't keep it from happening.

"See y'all there then." She said shoving her helmet on and getting on the bike. Ceder climbed on and she felt the bike sink closer to the ground. "Well, y'all might beat us." She laughed. She started the engine and pulled out. Once the bike got going it was fine.

Tala left the games room a few moments later to follow Skylar.

"Hold on, Tala. I'm coming with you," Ryukin said.

"Our masters told us to stay here," Mira said.

"Someone needs to keep an eye on them. Just because Tsurikansen hasn't made a move ever since Taura broke through the mansion's outside wall that doesn't mean they've decided to leave us alone."

Kuma stood up. "In that case I'm coming, too."

Ryukin shook his head. "No, you stay here. You're too big to move around at this time of day and not be spotted."

"I'm not going to let them hurt Ceder," Kuma persisted.

"Do as I say, Kuma."

"I take orders from Ceder, not you!"

Ryukin roared at the other Tsurekin. It made Kuma take a step back. "Kai is the leader of The Aushaulten! When Ceder is not around, you take orders from him and me, understand!?"

Kuma clenched his teeth for a moment, but said, "Yes, Ryukin. I understand."

"This is just a precaution, Kuma," Ryukin reassured him. His voice was more sincere than it had been a moment ago. "If anything happens, I'll have Tala come back and get you all."

"Ryukin, how long are you planning on making me wait?" Tala called from the hallway.

"I'm coming, Tala," he said as he left.

Reiky dropped down from the chandelier that she had been sitting on and landed on Kuma's back. "Don't worry, Ryukin knows what he's doing. If worse comes to worse, he and Kai will keep everyone safe."

Skylar parked her bike as Sean parked next to her. She put her helmet on the seat and walked inside with the others. She hung back a little behind them and couldn't help but notice how Elise did her best to stay right next to Kai. Ceder was ahead of everyone walking with his brother. Sean slowed and walked next to her.

"So the bike held up." He smiled.

"I wouldn't mind taking Elise on it. I'm sure I could scare her to bits." She replied.

"Yes, thus the reason I wouldn't let her ride with you. Whatever you've got against her you need to get over. If we're all going to fight together then we need to all be friends." He said.

"Easy for you to say. I don't play well with girls." She replied as they walked.

"What is your deal, the past few weeks you've been snippy whenever she is around." Sean said looking at her.

"Oh, what no guesses at what it is anymore?" She asked with a slight smile.

"No, cause I don't get a yes or no answer." He replied.

"That's cause it's my secret. No reason to act on a...whim." She replied.

"A whim? What whim?" He demanded.

"Doesn't matter, I have to go beat Ceder in a game." She replied as they reached the arcade.

They walked around a bit at first. There was a crowd in the arcade, but it was nowhere near as big as it could get on a really busy day. There was enough space between the aisles to walk through without having to wade your way past someone.

Elise spotted a Dance Dance Revolution game. She grabbed Kai's arm and said, "Come on, Kai. Let's dance!"

"Actually, it's not really my kind of game," Kai admitted. "Why don't you play with Skylar."

Elise seemed to think about it for a moment, then nodded. "Okay." She came up to Skylar and grabbed her arm. "Come on!" They were already up on the small stage before Skylar had a chance to protest.
