**Jok, this may not work out well, but I have to because people are still thinking we are in Starbucks. Let's just say we got our suit and have gone back because Tobias needs more coffee. ;3

Tobias ~ Civilian ~ June 14th ~ 6:30 a.m.

Tobias shifted uncomfortably in the suit he was now wearing. The poleyester was scratching his skin, and his movement seemed almost limited to what it would be liked if he was able to move properly. He carried his pajamas and worn down coat in just a normal plastic bag. Tobias looked over at Jack, eyes widening.

"Coffee?"

"What about coffee?"

"Coffee!" Tobias screamed in the middle of the street and came to a halt. People looked at him slightly confused but they all just managed to continue on their way. Jack still looked at Tobias dumbfoundedly still. "In a more civilized manor, I would like to say that I am demanding coffee!" Tobias hissed.

He looked over at the Starbucks which was across the street from him. Taking another glimpse at Jack, he jumped into the street and started bolting across like a chicken with its head chopped off. He narrowly missed a lonely car and he bursted into the Starbucks again, scaring the waitress. What a sight he would have been now, in a brand new suit, eyes blood shot and jittery and hair still in a disarray.

Soon Jack was behind him and ushered him to sit at a table while he ordered, obviously still fairly angry at the stupidness of that happening. He ended up returning with another coffee for Tobias and a handfull of sweeteners. Tobias smiled, and started ripping open all the sweeteners and pouring them into his coffee.

"Coffee is the answer to everything you know." Tobias smiled as he took another sip.

"Yah, but it is the answer which will leave me broke soon." Jack said, obviously irritated. Jack turned and started to look at everyone examining them closely. If Tobias wasn't foolish enough, he would have expected that Jack was using a power. But then Jack went still, staring at a particular man who was coming towards them. Jack gripped his own coffee tighter and turned to face Tobias, sending him a warning glance.

The man whom which was alarming Jack so stopped at their table and smiled at Tobias.

"You are Tobias, I presume?" He said. he had a pleasant smile. The one thing which was bewildering Tobias was that so many people seemed to know his name today.

But before Tobias could answer a group arrived in the Starbucks. They looked almost like a family, with the two women, a child, and a man. What made everything more suspicious was when Jack cursed under his breath and flashed another warning glance.

Tobias bewildered at the sight of a child got up from his chair and approtched them, smiling pleasantly at the boy.

"Isn't your child a cute one." Tobias kneeled down and pulled out a sugar packet from his pocket and gave it to the boy. "Use it well." He spoke lightly, and staightened up again. "I was wondering if I can have some DNA from you child. I think he would be the perfect choice to clone..."

Lol no, you forgot Larara. That's alright :) Also, the loyalties don't use aliases, do they? I just thought I'd better check before going and introducing us all using our real names  If they do, I can change it

Larara~Loyalty~June 14 6:32 a.m.

Mari took a step back fearfully, pulling her son back with her. Rebecca and I exchanged alarmed glances. Rayne cocked her head to one side and I glanced down at her, then back up at Tobias.

"Quite." I said simply. The crazy scientist looked at me with wide, red eyes. I coughed lightly. "I'm Larara Caneero. I wonder if we might have a word with you?"

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Rebecca, David and Mari look at me with surprise. 'Just because I'm sixteen doesn't mean I don't know how to handle things professionally,' I thought to myself. Tobias looked weary, but nodded in agreement. He started turning to leave, until he spotted Rayne at my side.

"You have a dog too!" He exclaimed, almost shouted. He slid in front of Rayne. She took a step back, but didn't growl at him. He played with her soft black ears excitedly. "You'd love Jack," he said to her. Rayne's tongue dropped out of her mouth, and she panted happily.

I stifled a laugh. "Not trying to interrupt," I said after a bit, "but we're in a bit of a rush," I told him.

Tobias stood slowly, keeping his eyes on the animal. He turned and shuffled back to his table, grabbing his coffee cup and gulping it down before he even sat. Another man was standing there, watching him.

"You like coffee, don't you?" Mari asked him.

"Mmm-hmm," he replied, not moving the cup from his lips.

I looked up at the strange man. "Who're you?" I asked him in a friendly tone.

"Gary Overlander," he answered. He offered his hand to me and I shook it, using my firmest grip possible.

"I'm Larara. This is Rebecca, Mari, David, and the little one is Aiden."

Gary nodded and waved to them. He looked down at my canine companion. "Who's that?" He asked.

I glanced down at her. "Rayne," I replied.

"How do you do?" He asked her, holding out his hand. Rayne placed her paw in it and with a smile, Mr. Overlander shook it.

Tobias' other friend, the one who was already seated, was staring into his lap. His knuckles were going white from grasping his cup so tightly. I glanced up at my colleagues. They, too, were staring at the man. I raised an eyebrow at him. His eyes were wide and his breathing was fast.

---

Not sure what else to put  Hope this works though :)

Jack Hayden

This was bad, this was very very bad. They were all level 4s. Except the Kid Aiden he was a level five dam he must of had some power. The mother of the child was looking at me and focusing a mind reader maybe. Gary didn't seem so different they had come in separately which meant their were two options, one Gary was a drone or two he was just a power coming in at the wrong place at the wrong time.

"so who's your friend Tobias" Larara asked as Tobias gulped down his coffee.

"oh that's Jack normally he talks more" Tobias said a look of realisation flashing across Maris face. Clearly a mind reader, she pulled her son back gently so she was behind him.

"do you know Gary nice guy" I said and went to shake Gary hand as I did his eyes flashed like he was seeing something but he didn't have time to do anything. I grabbed his hand firmly and slammed my other onto his shoulder. So that I had a good grip. Then I swung him at the crowd of loyalties only Aiden and the dog dodged him the rest stumbled backwards, David tumbled over a table and brought it down on top of himself as he tried to regain his balance. Larara however was skilled she turned into a guinea pig and flipped round in the air before turning back into a person, she landed in a crouch.

"skill" I said and she smiled a but before remembering that I was now the enemy. Tobias still sat dumbfounded by what was happening the dog Rayne jumped up and bit the arm I threw up in defence. I quickly but gently prized him off and threw him at Larara. Not two hard though the dog was just a dog and the girl looked pretty young.

"Jack what are you doing" Tobias said as I ran past him grabbing his arm and yanking rather than pulling him out of his seat. Tobias didn't have time to get his feet on the floor at first so for a few seconds I was dragging him across the floor. As I turned to answer his question a sharp slightly curved piece of white something whizzed past my head just missing me.

"Was that bone" I said in awe and turned around to see that David had shifted the heavy table off himself and was currently generating more of the spikes around his arm. I came to a stop.

"uh oh" I said as David fired his first volley of about ten spikes. Faster than I thought I could I grabbed a wooden table and used it as a shield for me and Tobias.

"strengthen the wood in the Table Tobias" I shouted as the spikes started to come through the wood , He nodded and touched the wood now instead on the spikes penetrating the wood they harmlessly bounced off it. Well harmlessly to us to every one else close to us they were like deadly pieces of shrapnel. The volley stopped and I looked over the top of the table David was was standing still.

"Bring it" He said and I smiled back at him lifting the the table I threw it at him but he quickly summoned a force field around him and the other loyalties. The table bounced off it and both Tobias and I couldn't help but watch as it bounced around for a second before slamming into the counter destroying the coffee machines and soaking anyone near it in boiling water and coffee.

"Coffee" I heard Tobias say in sad whisper. I was about to tell him something when I was hit in the stomach my something hard it lifted me off my feat and I flew backwards through a looked door that broke off its hinges. The door hit the floor I landed on it seconds later and looked down at what had hit me it was white and looked like a cube with rounded corners and edges, clearly it was made from bone as well. Tobias ran through the door over to me.

"you okay?"

"yeah I'm fine, oh...." I said but didn't have time to speak before a huge spike slammed through my chest. I tore it out and lifted up the door quickly. Knowing what I wanted Tobias strengthened the door and I could feel a shudder as the bones bounced off as deadly shrapnel. The bones stopped and I could hear shouting.

"what the hell David" I heard someone shout. No wonder Rebel and Loyalties both liked to keep a low profile when it came to the streets and Davids bones had just resulted in the deaths of about twenty innocents.

Daniel Ross

"I finally found you." The voice continued.
"Who is this speaking?" Daniels voice raised.
"Miranda silly! You were always such a tease." The name sounded familiar, like a weight somewhere in his subconscious mind. Miranda, where did he know the name from.
"Why do you keep calling me Jamie?" That's when the thought hit him, it was from his past, from before he became a soldier, from before the day that he lost his memory.
"Are you OK? You actually sounded serious then. What's wrong?" His breathing became louder and heavier. Did he want to remember who he used to be? It was like lifting up the corner of a rock without even taking a peek beneath. It was a heavy weight that could be lifted, but did he want to lift it?
"I'm fine."
"What are you doing these days." He felt adoration for the strange voice, like he should love it. He should love it.
"I'm a soldier." The phone line went quiet, a gasp and heavy breathing were the only sounds from the other end.
"What did they do to you?" Her voice was so much more hesitant, more gentle.
"Who are you to me?" He needed to know, wanted to know why she had bothered looking her up, why he loved the sound of her voice, why, even now he was cherishing being on the phone to her.
"You were a good guy. The man you are now working for, well, there was a time when you would fight against him. You would have fought and won. I'm just an old friend."
"I can trust you, I feel that I can trust you. Why do I feel right now the urge to spill everything on my mind to you? Why do I feel I know you so well when I have no idea of your second name?"
"Because they can wipe your memory, but they can't change how you feel about things, personal connections remain, they just need to be reawakened. Despite that, I no longer feel trust in you. You're working for the dark side." She was going to hang up. He could feel her reaching to turn off the phone.
"Wait. Don't. Just listen to me for one minute. I am working for them because I had no other choice. Meet me. 22nd street, today at 12am." The phone cut off.

11:50 am same day

He walked, swift through the streets. He still had faith. His face was deep in an anxious scowl and his fists clenched. He passed 21st street and headed onwards. That was where he stopped. A figure up ahead. When you spend so long chasing rebels you get to know who is likely to fit into the catagory. It was a girl, she was in her early 20s, hair long and thick. She set every soldier sense in his body off, but he kept walking. He moved forwards. He, despite the feeling that she should be handcuffed to the wall, kept peaceful. As he closed in on her spotted her bright blue eyes, poking from around each ginger curl. His heart throbbed. "Miranda." Each movement seemed so familiar, so beautiful.
"The years certainly havn't been kind to you." A cautious smile appeared on her thin lips.
"It's what not knowing who you are can do to you. How did you know my number?"
"Our people, your people have such a range of abilities, all you need is to know the right person and they can say everything about someone." He examined her delicately freckled face, gawping at each line of her jaw and starnd of her ginger hair.
"Not everything, otherwise you would have known my occupation. So, who was I?" He wanted to know everything about his past, he wanted to go back, one look in her eyes told him that.

This a little longer?

Tobias ~ June 14th ~ 7:00 a.m.

He stared in disbelief at the mess that these power weilders had made. This was why he didn't like being alone and out of public, this was why he prefered to hide in his apartment and tinker with inventions. This mayhem and destruction was bound to pull Drones here, and if the drones found him, he wouldn't at all know what to do.

He slipped to his feet and walked back into the coffee shop, examining the broken tables and injured people. But the one main thing that brought a tear to his eye was the coffee maker behind the counter. It too was punctured and and brutally murdered by the man named David. Today seemed like a sad day, two coffee makers perishing from this world.

Tobias climbed over the counter ignoring the waiteresses there hiding and stareing up at him, and he ambled over towards the coffee maker. "Trace On. He muttered. The familiar designs and wiring came to him. The coffee maker was perfectly fine on the inside, it was only the minor exterior injuries that was making not work able. Tobias pulled out a random wrench, sat down, and started working on it, using his powers to mend the metal and plastic, and to strengthen the parts that were weakened.

All the while, he could sense all the power wielders there, knowing perfectly well that they now knew for sure he was a power wielder himself. He did not care, because he would not let this coffee maker die. After he was done, fifteen minutes later, he got up and patted the coffee maker.

"There you go, lassie." He said sweetly to it. He then turned to the others who were all distressing in their own way over what had happened. "I am going to be leaving with Jack now." Tobias smiled weakly, torn at what he was supposed to be doing. Those powers were monstrous, and just to know this disaster could come out of his own hands was alarming. "I doubt I will see you all again."

Tobias grabbed the coffee maker and held it under his arm. In his now dishelved suit, he slipped through the door to Starbucks and turned to face Jack.

"I found a coffee maker."

This might help the Loyalities figure out just exactly why they have to get Tobias.

Kelly / Civilian / June 14th, some-time-of-the-work-day-I'm-not-feeling-creative-enough-to-even-post-a-time o'clock

"Miss Perriwink, a young man's here to see you," called the building's main receptionist.

"Who is it?" I said.

"He wouldn't say, but he did pass the test as a powered," he said formally.

"Well, give him a shot of the three hour stuff and send him in."

"Yes, ma'am."

I neatly stacked the papers on my desk and looked about the room. Bookshelves from floor to ceiling lines one wall. On the opposite was my PhD and Master's degree in psychology and paranormality, in between a few modern paintings which I couldn't stand. Art was professional, no matter how confusing/pointless.

This job had everything I could ever want. It also had everything I could ever hate. Innocent people who could do amazing things came to me for help to understand what to do, and I had to find out if they were a threat or not. What I did if they were-- Well, it didn't matter. It was my duty to society.

Society can go stick it's head in a toilet, for all I care, I thought in a momentary fit.

A knock sounded on my door, and fixing my hair I said "Come in."

Jesse Wolfe--Rebel--He doesn't know what time it is, because he's high right now.

Jesse made his way down the street on his skateboard, grumbling incoherently to himself. He had his father on his case again and it agitated him more than anything. He pulled up the hood of his sweatshirt and made sure the little baggie of weed in his pocket was still there. After all, he had sales to do. This place sold slower than Boston...but it was enough. Gave him enough cash for what he wanted.

He skidded to a stop and started down an alleyway, examining the spray paint tags he had made the week before. Lame. Someone had gone over them already. Whatever. Jesse didn't care. He had bigger things to worry about right now. Like not getting picked up by the cops again. And with how strung out he was right now, there was a good chance of that happening.

"Jamie," Her face looked concerned, delicate crinkles appearing above her forehead.
"It's Daniel." Unless she gave him his identity it would remain Daniel forever.
"Are you sure that's what you want? Your finally safe where you are, you were never safe. You spent all your time running and hiding, do you really think that's better than being a soldier. Her eyes glossed over, a liquid glow appearing beside her obsidian pupils. He was mesmerized, just for a second, stuck in this weird space between his new and old life. "Jamie... Oh fine... Daniel." He didn't speak, just paused, stuck between his wants and his needs.
"My past has tortured me ever since this became my present. I have a terrible present."
"And you really think knowing your past will change that?"
"Yes."

------------------

"Your birthday's on August third. Your favourite colour was grey, because its in between black and white (wrong and right). You were obsessed with the idea that some day you'd be safe to settle down and have kids."
"Have kids, I was a family guy? How did I know you?" Jamie wanted to know everything.
"You definately were a family guy. As for meeting me... November 22nd, eight years ago. We'd both been set up on blind dates in this off center curry resteraunt. When you saw me you automatically assumed I was yours and I assumed you were mine. We got talking and by the time our real dates showed up, both late, we lied to them saying that they were each others so that we could keep talking." Her face crinkled, as if trying to suppress the memory. "You asked me to marry you three years ago, then disappeared. I didn't take it personally, you were never the commitment type, however much you wanted to be."
He nodded, trying to understand everything, remember what had happened. His eyes brightened. " Your phone number is 07742 191365. Your favourite colour is light blue because it's the colour of the sky when it's smiling. You used to wear this beautiful red dress that made your eyes blaze so bright that I thought I could see the sun in them. I didn't leave you, I was captured."
"You remember?"
"Only you."

Mitchell Mawson

"You're Mitch, aren't you?" The woman said, looking straight at him.

Mitchell winced at the use of his oh-so-hated nickname, but was still surprised she'd known who he was. Whoever she's working for must have a file or something on me...how could they have managed to find out all they know about me without me noticing them? "I'm Mitchell, yeah." He replied.

"I like Mitch better." She said, her lips twitching upwards in an amused fashion, "I'm Trina, follow me."

Disliking her was looking to be as easy as disliking his job right now, but he followed her to a parked, decidedly nondescript car anyway. As they got in, Trina's phone rang. "Sir?" She said. There was a long pause, and after a while, she closed her eyes and moved her lips in what must have been some kind of silent curse. Finally, she nodded and said, "Yes sir. We'll be there as soon as possible."

Trina looked at Mitchell, starting the car as she talked, "Alright, so apparently, the people who you were told were looking after Tobias have lost him or something, at least temporarily. Things have gone pear-shaped in any case. There's some guy complicating things, apparently he won't work with us. You think you can pull your tricks on someone who might be used to it?"

Mitchell sighed, Things just keep getting better and better. "No," he said, annoyed, "My telepathy isn't anyway near that strong. I just haven't practised those powers that much. Empathy, maybe I could, but I don't want to use it to make anyone do something he doesn't want to."

"That's not your job, Mitch." She said as they drove through New Orleans, following a GPS that presumably pointed to her partners, or whatever they were. "Your job is just to help Tobias out with his mental state."

He frowned for a moment, then concentrated on her. We'd better have a better telepath than him there. Hafton didn't make our competition sound too friendly. Shutting down his mind would make this all much easier. She looked up, and straight at Mitchell, "Don't you ever do that again."

He shrugged, "Fine. How much further?"

**I am bringing my new character right into the mess of things. Don't mind me.

Elizabeth ~ June 14th ~ 7:23 a.m.

She slipped into the street and walked, trying to hide herself deeper into her jacket. She knew the stares she would be getting, all the people automatically fearing her because of her distinct differences. And yet she walked on, hating herself and the people around her. What did it all matter anyways, she could not see anything in this clotted street, only a couple traces of powers, but nothing more.

A car whizzed by, the ground vibrating continuously as it rolled by and rounded a corner. It was only until a couple minutes later that she realized there was two power weilders in that car, their auras were shining brightly. And she ran, weaving in and out of people masterfully, moving faster then any human could have ever done. Turning swiftly around the corner, she saw an influx of the power weilders, there would have been at least nine of them, including the people in the car, all their powers were different in ability wise, and she strode towards them carefully, trying not to draw any attention.

The two stepped out of the car. Words were spoken, one seemed to be becoming frantic, protecting another one, possible going to use his powers. She could sense the vibrations in the gorund carefully, noticing the destruction in a store. There talking was useful to her, certainly. They almost made an echoe location kind of deal.

She grabbed her radio and whispered into it; "Back up needed. There is an influx of power weilders on Bourbon Street, New Orleans. Nine in number, they are certainly not weak."

"Roger that, Scout. Engage."

"What? How foolish would that be?"

"The orders are to engage."

"Roger."

She placed her radio back on her belt, and dropped the bad which she had slung over her back. She quietly charged at them, her movements, becoming more and more quiet and the noises of the world around her seemed to drown out everything. She ran up behind on of the males who had come out of the car, he was glowing brightly and she pinned his arms behind his pack just incase she would have to break his arms. She did not know his powers yet, she had to be careful.

"All of you, stay where you are and don't move," Elizabeth called. "I am Elizabeth from the government, and I am here to up hold all of you, Loyalties and Rebels alike." Her voice was louder then she had intented. They did not move, probably bewildered by this short woman holding a males arms threateningly. They did not speak until one which was holding an object under his arms called out.

"I knew it! They were going to come for me! I refuse to be taken!" The man foolishly called, dropping the object and grabbing a piece of glass that was shattered, around the setting. "Trace On. Material composition; glass. Enhancements: Strengthening, sharpening." He said out loud. Foolish.

Elizabeth leapt back from the man and charged at the one holding a weapon. She leapt swiftly over him and hit his wrist so he would cut his own hand and toss the glass. The man, looked at her shocked and slumped onto his knees, blubbering like a child.

Cars arrived, swiftly and twenty power weilders came out of them, Drones. "If you do not fight, you wil not be harmed." Elizabeth cooed.

Jesse--rebel--sometime at night

Jesse heard what sounded like a commotion on the other end of the alleyway and quickly darted to the end of it, then shifted so as to avoid detection. Sounded like cops. He couldn't be picked up by them again--Robin would absolutely kill him. Not that he cared. Right now he was too high to care--but he also wasn't dumb. He ducked into a cardboard box and pretended to simply be someone's stray dog. Hopefully the cop would pass by the alleyway without even noticing.

Oliver (or George) ~ June 14th ~ 7:34 a.m.

Oliver wheeled himself down the sidewalk on his way to work (it wasn't far enough away to bother with any sort of public transportation.) He was feeling a little blue; tomorrow was Jenny's eleventh birthday. Leaving his family was the hardest thing he'd ever had to do, but he was convinced he was in the right. He couldn't have drones going to his house and discovering Jenny's secret.

There was the noise of raised voices nearby. His head turned sharply. There was a woman attempting to take several men into custody, and suddenly he understood. Uh oh, I can't be around here if she's a drone.

He attempted to look only mildly curious as he picked up the pace, hoping to leave the scene behind as more government cars pulled in.

Jesse instantly shifted back and staggered as Robin put him down.

"Nothin'," he slurred.

Robin glared at him. He vaguely remembered the fact that there was something he didn't want her to find in his pocket, but he didn't care. He gave her a lopsided smile--tilted due to the fact that right now he could barely see straight and it felt as if there was a pleasant cloud drifting above his head. He laughed as if something was very, very funny.

Suddenly, it was obvious to Robin that Jesse was high on something or another. She let out an agitated noise.

"Jesse, where's the pot?"

"What pot?" he slurred.

If you have to ask, "Is this cliche?", it probably is.
