So I was thinking about that rule, "No god modding" and I thought to myself, 'Well, what if the character IS a God?' And those were biggest in Ancient Greece. So I thought this would be fun ^^

So here's the deal: You are living in ancient Greece. You can be a God/Goddess, a human, or a mythical creature of some kind. You can have up to 3 characters and, if you choose, they can all be the same thing. For example, you can make three Gods, or three creatures, or three humans.

Yes, you can be an animal, like Pegasus ^^ And yes, there can be unlimited amounts of each creature. These are NOT invincible/immortal, so no god modding with this one.

If you're going to be a God/Goddess, you can be one that already exists, however, you MUST change the name. For example: Ares, God of War. You can be a God of war, but you cannot use the name Ares. Only one of each kind of god, but there can be a god and a goddess of the same thing. That being said, if you have a God and a Goddess, you can't make them the same thing. For example: you can't make both the God and the Goddess of fire. You gotta let somebody else have a chance Obviously, lol, you can make this character immortal. Not quite invincible, but immortal.

Humans are pretty self-explanatory ^^ No god modding with them

History: Nothing, really. Terra helps animals and nature, kind of like Artemis and Demeter

Personality: Terra is very sweet, kind and gentle. She loves to help people and trusts easily, which usually turns out bad, but she can't seem to stop. She makes friends easily and is very fun to be around, but when she fights, she's very fearsome. She can make nature and animals fight alonside her and do what she tells them to.

History: Maia was born a human, but sold her soul to (insert death god's name here) to become a centaur, and realized it isn't as glamorous as she thought it'd be. She completely regrets her decision and now kind of works for (insert death god's name here)

Personality: Maia is sweet, despite the fact that she's been in the clutches of the death God nearly her whole life. She misses being human, but doesn't complain about being a centaur. She's kind of shy, and doesn't trust easily. She's slow to make friends due to her lack of ability to trust, but when she does, she's a great friend. She's caring and helps people at every opportunity

Other: Up for love. She carries a bow and arrows with her most of the time. She lives in the forest.

Name: Virenna (Veer-en-a)

Age: about 19 in appearance

Gender: female

God/Goddess of: Rain (it exists, I checked) I guess it's kind of like water, but I think rain sounds cooler because it can hold a certain emotion to it. Like when it rains.....I'll put this in 'other'.

History: Virenna has always been hard to find. "Following the rain" or so she tells those who stumble upon her. History shows that she's not one of the most famous Goddesses. No wonder, because half of the people even Gods and Goddesses have no idea she is still alive. Virenna was thought to have died long ago in an ancient battle. So now her story is a mystery. (Well, mostly)........(I'll add more to this as the story progresses)

Personality: She is very calm, serene, tranquil and her tone of voice is always soft and sweet. She's innocent although she's lived through many times and met many men. etc. Patience is her name of the game and Understanding is her way.

Other: Okay so, rain? I know you're asking yourselves. The answer: Well Virenna can, obviously, make it rain, not only that but she feels what's going on at the exact moment someone is outside in the rain. It allows her to feel emotion. Virenna, is able to see through the raindrops like a looking glass and see what someone is doing or she can even travel through it to the other side.

She's only visible through that of another person's virtue. (I got this from wiki.) This means that people can only see her if they're a virgin. (this only goes for humans not gods)

Her pendant she wears at all times acts as a shining beacon when a god or goddess is near (how do you think she's been able to avoid them for so long?)

Name: Kaia

Age: Looks 17, but even so, is one of the younger goddesses

Gender: Female

God/Goddess of: Mischief

History: Kaia's past is nothing more or less than a long series of her having fun and causing trouble for everyone else.

Personality: She really is sweet, but Kaia accepts no nonsense. She is a fun-loving girl, who likes nothing better than to toy with people's emotions. She messes with all of the other gods and goddesses, and it has gotten her into trouble in the past. Occasionally she will become thoroughly annoyed with the gods' seriousness, and will go into the mortal world and play with the mortals. She doesn't talk about much that happens down there, but sometimes she comes back very depressed and down-hearted. Despite her constant joking, Kaia has a serious side that has a tendency to be extremely pessimistic. However, she usually keeps any seriousness repressed. Her only conscience is in Basil, who she takes everywhere with her.

Gender: Male

History: He doesn’t talk about it much. All any of the gods know is that he came back with Kaia after one of her mortal jaunts. He is never far away from Kaia. All will be revealed later.

Personality: Basil and Kaia are almost polar opposites. Basil is somewhat shy, and very respectful. He is friendly and smiles all the time. His laugh is light and cheerful, and he never seems to be anything but happy.

Name: Thanatos (means death in Greek)

Age: He does not know exactly. But he looks around 20.
Gender: Male

God/Goddess of: The underworld comes with death, and riches.

Appearance: He is tall, and lean, with longish, raven black hair, and a few white streaks in it. His eyes are a dark black that look hypnotic, cold, but caring. Generally he wears a black robe, which radiates a pale, bright, gold. His skin in surprisingly tan, as he makes it so, and he also wears the helm of darkness, a helmet with the ability to make his unnoticeable in every way. Makes him invisible, his body can phase through solids, he makes no noise, and his senses increase.

History: I will edit in later.

Personality: He is not usually in the best mood, but not a complete downer. When you are around death that happens. The god can look on the bright side though, and tends to try to in many situations, but he finds it impossible to be happy sometimes. Patience is not a strong suit of his either, he tends to try to hurry things, and hates when people try to put things off, especially death.

Age: 300
Gender: Male
Species: Stymphalian Bird

History: He was the son of one of the original Stymphalian birds in the myth that made them famous. After Hercules slaughtered his father, he left and went to continue on by himself. Along the way, he matured, but not by much, until he met another descendant of one of the original birds. They journeyed together for a while until a curse turned his companion into a tree. He carries a piece of bark with him wherever he goes, and has gone the rest of the way alone.

Personality: He is mindlessly stubborn when it comes to decisions, and it is almost unheard of for him to change his mind about things. This caused him a lot of grief in the past, and he usually lets it get to him, making him see the negative about almost everything and everyone. When he's very happy, he won't stop talking.

Other: Hates loud noises. Never takes off a pendant made of wood, around his neck. He's usually in human form. Up for love.



Name: Illana
Age: Looks to be in late teenage years, actually around 700
Gender: Female
God/Goddess of: Prophecy (and part time of Poetry too)

Appearance: But with black hair instead.

History: Illana is usually in the mortal world, inhabiting the spirit of any true oracles. So, she's spread over all of Greece, and can foresee anything happening in the next hundred or so years. She is especially fond of Delphi, and for the past two centuries, she's been staying there, looking for the next prophecy and the hero who will fulfill it. She has been delivering prophecies as long as she could remember, and loves thinking up horrible rhymes for the prohecies.

Personality: Is usually bright and happy, but gets very serious and determined when something happens to people that she cares about. She loves to joke around, but when she receives a prophecy that concerns those around her, she will get very dark. She doesn't like to interfere with things. She believes that everything will go right when you leave it alone. (You can say she acts like Apollo from the Percy Jackson series, but without the flirting and the haikus, but bad poetry intact)

history- The son of the God King, before he was born he was cursed by the fates, and by extension Illana. Basically they foretold that Syn was fated to be the destruction of the gods, the harbinger of the apocalypse. Because of this, quite a few gods would be happier with him dead. In order to protect Syn his father bound his powers and hid him in the human world.

Syn's powers were unlocked when he turned fifteen, since then he has spent the majority of time in the mortal and dream realms, dodging various assasins sent by some of the more paranoid gods. Dispite this he would like nothing more then the chance to get to know his fellow gods/goddesses.

personality- Syn is gregarious and outgoing, with a wicked sense of humor and an insatiable curiosity. He's always ready for a fight and is ready with a quick retort almost constantly, his mind is like a steel trap, and Syn is considered a prodigy as a tactician, he doesn't have the patience to be a strategist. He makes friends easily, and is extremely loyal and fun loving. But at the same time he alway keeps a part of himself aloof. He loves to figure out all kinds of puzzles. His temper is quick to ignite, but usually quick to cool. Thinks with his heart, headstrong and often stubborn to the point of stupidity.

powers- Since he was raised as a human, Syn isn't really aware of just what he can do with his powers. He often loses control of them, and doesn't know what his limits are.

other- up for love, Syn is completely unaware of the prophecy/curse made about him.

Name: Nimriel

Age: Pretty old as humans go, but he only looks about nineteen.

Gender: Male

God/Goddess of: The sun/day

Appearance: Standing at just under six foot, Nimriel simply radiates light. His skin, already somewhat tanned, seems to give off its own extra glow. He has shoulder-length, messy blond hair and bright, sky blue eyes and a crooked smile on his face. He usually wears a white tunic with gold trim, and carries a bow, as well as a quiver filled with a limitless supply of gold-fletched arrows with shafts of white wood.

History: In a similar way to Apollo, Nimriel has to ensure that the sun gets across the sky each day, although this is a lot simpler than dragging it about in a chariot. In essence, the sun gets itself around, and when there is some kind of danger, always causing an eclipse, he has to be there to make sure everything works out. Aside from that, Nimriel spends a lot of time relaxing in the mortal realm, and enjoys talking with the philosophers.

Personality: As he should be, Nimriel is almost always happy. It's almost infectious, pouring off him in the same way light does. He's rarely seen without a smile on his face, and prefers to laugh something off than take it seriously. As for his level of maturity, he's the least mature of the gods after Kaia.

Name: Desirae

Age: appears late teens but is centuries older.
Gender: Female

God/Goddess of: Desire and lust. Sister to Virenna, Goddess of rain and serenity.

Power: She can feel into every Mortal and Gods/Goddess's soul to see their deepest desire. To some she is the very heart of their lust. For she was gifted with beauty at her birth along with curiosity, but it came with a price. She was also cursed. (read history for more info)

History: When she first came to be born, long ago, Desirae was cursed by a cruel Goddess named Fesvira who was full of jealousy, but this didn't come till later. Fesvira's daughter was hideous, an outcast, and had no powers whatsoever. Fesvira snuck to Desirae's bedside in the depth of night after a century had nearly passed already. She couldn't take it anymore. The men flaunted over Desirae, practically worshipped her while Fesvira's daughter was dead to them.

Fesvira, laid upon the sleeping Desirae a riddle, turned curse. If she kisses a man he will turn into stone. So far there is no way to break the enchantment and for that reason Desirae was banished from Mount Olympus by all men. The women happily agreed, grateful to have no competition any longer. Ever since, Desirae has been living in the mortal world, surviving in the forests around Athens.

Personality: Desirae is sexy, mysterious, and curious, with a fiesty edge and a slight dash of bitterness. She's befriended mostly animals and smiles are hard to get from her. (More will be revealed)

Personality: bubbly and fun, but serious when she needs to be. And excellent actress, no one can quite tell when she is telling the truth. What is a good thief without great acting skills

Personality: Outgoing and fun, up for anything, loves her sister allot, roams the earth, to learn more, doesnt like to see her sister mix with humans that much.

History: same as sister, except she doesn't understand why her godly parents gave her to humans to raise, in fact they did this so they would become kind and loving gods.

Personality: shy and musical, loves her sister allot, roams the earths cities to find the perfect tune, loves humans. Especially Thea.
