The worlds hope

OK. I was in this exhibition about gems..., and I had this idea:

There is this stone. Its a Gem(of course), one of these blue, really light colored, kinda see through ones, that have a little white in and turquoise and a bit green...
Its round, and the person who has it, controls the world, has absolute power (not over the people, but over stuff like weather and over the person that held the stone before).
It was found by dwarfs a long time ago, before the humans came, and when they noticed its significance, they first tried to break it into tiny pieces and equally share them among the different creatures, but when they saw it couldn't be broken, they hid it.
In time the humans came, and the stone was forgotten.
In the mean time, there is a lunatic ruler and he now rules all the land(except the dwarfs and elf's and other creatures hidden from the world).
The elf's, dragons, dwarfs and some humans(and other creatures), formed a rebel group, and remembered the stone. Now they hope to find the stone again, and free the world of the lunatics kings rule (name: The king or something... Still thinking).

Rules:
1.No one is the king. When something happens, and the king has to do something, I'm gonna write something in fat.
2.No god like characters.
3.No killing other peoples characters, except if they told you so.

Name: Jaspis

Age: about 300(dragon) as human he looks about 19

Gender: Male

Specie: Dragon

Special Power: Flying and Water controlling

Appearance: A blue turquoise in dragon form and as human: blue-turquoise eyes, tall, slender, hansom, blue hair(dragon feature) scar on this back which starts to burn on various occasions.

Personality: Quiet, clever, doesn't trust people easily

History: He was captured by the Empire when he was a egg and had to flee and when he did the king slashed him open across his back. Now he has this scar which reminds him of his past and never to go back.

Name: Luna

Age: 258 (dragon), looks to be 17 as human

Gender: Female

Species: Dragon

Special Power: Flying, pyropathy (controls fire with mind and a few motions)

Appearance: Scarlett Chinese dragon with small patches of gold; Luna. Red brown hair that reaches just below her shoulder blades and blue-gray eyes. A few patches of red and gold are scattered on her back and arms, making her wear long sleeves most of the time.

Personality: Happy-go-lucky and humorous, laughs a lot. Is the kind of person you become friends with quickly. Her sense of humor is dry and sarcastic.

History: She was raised by dwarfs. No joke. They just found a dragon egg, hatched it, and raised it. She was told of the stone by her adopted parents as a bed-time story and realized that if anyone were to get rid of the king, they'd need the stone. So she went out looking for it.

Name: Rachel

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Species: Human/Elf

Special Power: Inhanced senses like an elf and talks to animals and plants.

Personality: Shy and keeps to herself. Loves to ride horses and is best friends with an oak tree.

History: Was raised in a poor village and then ran off when her father (a human) could not pay his taxes and the soldiers tried to take her away. She then found the dwarves who took her in and taught her to use a sword. She learned to use a bow by herself.

His dragon traits are slit pupiled eyes, and fangs.

Personality: Reckless, competetive, and hot tempered. Experience has taught him to keep a cool head and a check on his temper. Tribe doesn't really care what happens to the world, but is fiercely loyal to those friends he has. He's the type to dance to the beat of his own drum, and resents the fact that the king is trying to manipulate him. More will be revealed with time.

History: Jaspis' twin brother (if that's alright), born a rare black dragon. He was separated from his brother at birth, Tribe longs for his freedom from the empire, but is tormented by the knowledge that if he flees, his brother will pay the price. He longs for his freedom and does his best to thwart the Empire from the inside. If pushed far enough, he will escape and join the search for the jewel.

*I'm confused, the king is human right, yet he was able to capture Jaspis when he was an egg, 300 years ago. Is he immortal? Or was an ancestor of his?*

Well OK.
The king is human and immortal, jet, no one knows why.
In fact if you summon spirits, which are immortal (for eg the spirit of a tree), and you are able to control them, they go inside you, and become a part of you.
Sometimes the different souls inside you will think of things differently, and you will seem to have schizophrenia(which you do). They give you a very very long life.


Could we have more humans and dwarfs please (dwarfs aren't ugly! They are actually kinda cool.)??

We need at least one dwarf. I hate having 2 characters, so Id really appreciate if I don't have to do another. i get really confused.

Name: Altu

Age: 142 (looks 20 in human form)

Gender: male

Species: A griffin/basilisk hybrid

Special Power: He can cause something immense pain if they look into his eyes when he activates the power. He thinks it if a form of cheating in a fight and will only use it if he has no other choice. He also has a lot of magical talent like his father, whom he never met, but he is unaware of it and often casts spells by total accident. He usually finds it difficult to change into his human form and spends a lot of time in his griffilisk form.

Appearance: Griffilisk form:



In human form he has all the colours of his feathery mane in his hair (so like blues and greens) He is tall, handsome with green eyes.

Personality: He is couragous and strong, and would never turn down a fight as he feels it is an matter of honour. He is brash and bold, he rarely thinks things through and jumps straight into situations without fear. Sometimes he can be a little rude to people due to this, but deep down he means no harm. He feels he doesn't fit into the world, and mostly tries to keep to himself but secretly he is very lonely. He tries not to show his true feelings to anyone. If you got close to him, you would find he can be can be considerate and thoughtful, maybe even loving.

History: He never met any of his siblings and knows nothing about his family. He can't remember his hatching at all. He finds the topic of family sensitive and becomes rude and snappy if someone asks him about it. He usually resides in the forest and comes into town every once in a while to get a decent meal.

Special Power: None ^^' He's a hunter, but strictly for food, never for sport

Personality: Oscuro is a very gruff, serious dwarf. He never shows a fun side of any kind, as he has none. He does, however, have a sense of humor, and enjoys a good joke every now and then. He would protect his friends and neighbors at all costs, and believes pride and honor are very important.

History: Oscuro was born and raised in a small village of dwarves. He protects the village from all threats possible and he is one of the most respected dwarves in the village.

Special Power: She's kind of a 'wolf master', and she can communicate with them, but only wolves. No other types of animal. She can also summon wolves. She's also a bit of a shape-shifter, and when the tattoo on her leg glows, she can morph into a wolf

Personality: Aria is gentle and kind, but if necessary, she'll protect anyone she needs to. She loves all wolves and would die for any of them. She's only met a few people, so they're kind of strange to her. The intrigue her, however, and she'd love to meet more of them. She's sweet and friendly, but doesn't trust easily because she doesn't know what people are like. She's quiet most of the time and she's very smart despite the fact that she has been raised by wolves her whole life.

History: Aria was left in the forest by her parents when she was a baby and she was raised by wolves. She was born with a long tattoo down her leg and, as she lived with wolves her entire life, they grew on her and she gained the ability to morph into one when it glows yellow. A few humans had passed through the forest during her life, and that's the only way she knows they exist and what they are. One wolf loved to spend time with her, and she grew on Aria, becoming a bit of a 'pet' to her.

Name: Zao

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Special Power: He can control air, and also focus his energy to strengthen himself, or heal himself to a degree.

Appearance: Zao is tall, with longish, straight white hair and blue-green eyes. He has skin of a dull gold colour, sharp features and he holds himself as if always filled with energy. He wears clothes like this.

Personality: He radiates calm and control, and rarely gets upset by anything. He does, however, have a good sense of humour, and can often be somewhat teasing towards others.He tries to get along with most people, and favours a kind heart above anything else.

History: Zao was born into an order of monks who were not quite human, people who cultivated a 'friendship' with the elemental and otherworldly. He fitted in to the order naturally, enjoying learning their ways and excelling at them. For a long time, the monastery avoided the discovery of the king. However, eventually word reached him of them, and he realised that they would be excellent weapons. He sent a large army to capture the monastery, and was forced to slaughter most of the monks, including the grand master, in taking it. Zao escaped, and has been living in the mountains for more than a year since the attack.

Tribe can fire chaos bolts etc... His element is very similar to fire when in its weaker form. As a master of Chaos Tribe can also summon natural disasters, like say a hurricane or tornado. He has thus far hidden this particular skill from the king.

His element also has an unhappy side effect. Chaos is drawn to him, impossible things happen in his prescence, like say someone in the room with him chokes to death on a feather, or a kid falls twenty stories and walks away without a scratch.

Wherever he goes he leaves a trail of confused and baffled people in his wake. Tribe once spent the weekend in a village inn. That weekend every unmarried person in the village up and got hitched.

So when are we starting

I thought I would make an evil character to keep the story full of action Altu's father guys:

Name: Anshul

Age: 6582 (appears to be 29 in human form)

Gender: male

Species: Basilisk King

Special Power: Controls the darkest and most evil magic known. The most powerful and dreaded sorcerer in all the kingdom. He can cast most type of dark spell; magic that only has a negative affect. He can also summon snakes and control most things repltilian (if the victim is strong willed they can break the curse.) He uses magic to stop him from aging.
His venom is a deadly neurotoxin that can paralyse and eventually kill you, unless you are of reptilian blood (so dragons etc. Then it will only make you severely ill, depending on how much venom you got)

Appearance: In his human form, he has short, dark jet black hair, ghostly grey skin, blood red eyes and all his teeth are pointed. His finger nails are pointed and black, and he wears black clothing with a ring on his right index, which is the shape of a snake coiling around his finger.

In both his snake forms he has pale grey scales and red eyes.

He only ever shifts to his King form when he has a particularly powerful enemy to face, to terrify innocent people, or to reveal himself as the Serpent King.

Personality: Dark, cold, callous, and heartless. He feels no love or compassion to anything but his reptilian friends. Hates anyone and anything that comes across his path. He never feels regret for any of his horrible deeds. Anyone who dares get in his way gives themselves an instant death sentence; he has no mercy for anyone.

History: Thousands of years ago, Anshul was once an ordinary man. He was even capable of love, and did indeed fall for a griffin shapeshifter. But, during this time, he began to mess with dark magic and slowly it consumed him and blackened his heart until he became what he is today. He gained the ability to communicate with snakes and earned himself the title, the Serpent King.
By the time he became a father, the evil in his heart was already too far gone to repair. His wife died in childbirth and full of hate, he blamed the children born for the death of the only person he ever loved. He killed all of them except Altu, who managed to escape his fathers wrath and survive on his own.
Anshul still to this day is looking for Altu to end his life and finally achieve what he believes to be inner peace. He knows that if Altu knew what a monster he had for a father, he would kill himself, so he keeps his plan secretive and will only reveal his identity just before he strikes.

Other: He wants to use the stone to gain power over the world, and then truly become king. He is incapable of any sort of care for another being, 'love' being something he despises.
