*steals hot topic back* :P

Hehe. I'm with ya.

As long as I can still keep my black t-shirts...(seriously, I'm not emo, but I do wear a lotta back. But mixed with with other stuff...)

So your a goth.
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, instead, you should read every single book to see what every book is about before you even come close to judging its viability.

No, I'm not. I'm a member of the Artist Clan.

All we wear is black band t-shirts (preferably rock), beat up jeans, and converse sneakers (preferably black). :P

KICK THE CAN!

A classic game...especially when there's still Pepsi in it and then it implodes.

what's wrong with dorks?

I'm a dork in black and black converse (hmm.. should colour my white ones, eh?). no, not a gothh dork, someone that can't put colours together to save her life (usually. gettign dressed at 6 am does do that to a person).

but yeah, I'm with you and Sambo on this one.

So...you're conforming non-conformists. It seems so silly to wear all the same stuff so as not to look like everyone else.

My biggest problem with 'emo' style is the mindset behind it. "Oh woe is me, no one loves me everyone hates me I'm gonna spend all my money on the over-priced crap at hot topic to make myself feel better. I'm anti-consumerist but I still buy all my clothes at a store that supports the child-labor industry. I listen to angry music on my i-pod and write angsty poetry because no one understands what is like to be a middle class highschooler with normal problems. Woe is me! Woe! *riiiing* Oh wait, lemme answer my brand new picture-phone my parents got me..."

It drives me CRAZY.

Hmm...you guys have different emo...truly emo people shop at Goodwill. Part Emo/Artsy people shop at Hot Topic.

And it's not to not look like everyone else, it's really to try to find people you know you can talk to about music and stuff like that.

Seriously, a couple kids I asked didn't know what Pink Floyd was...*shudder*

I'm moody in my dressing though...today I'm wearing a black Green Day shirt (oh, the irony) and jeans and converses, as per the norm. But yesterday I wore a pink polo shirt and khaki cords...

Then... you aren't listening to the music you say you are. Your conforming to a steryotype in the exact fassion you've been told not to by green day, avryl, among others.

My roommate during my senior year of college listened solely to emo. He wore Abercrombie and Fitch.

Big mistake being roommates with that guy... he was the biggest wussiest McWuss on wuss street. It was pretty funny though how he pretended to be anti-consumerist; having an iPod and looking like the biggest corporate tool on corporate tool street definitely makes you very pro-consumer.

And everyone I know he listens solely to emo is just like that. What really got me is how they were benefitting from the finest public education in the United States (St. Mary's of Maryland... number one public liberal arts college!) and yet listened to music that would suggest their lives suck.

I don't see why screaming in a microphone is considered music. And oh yeah, us regular people have iPods also.

I hate emo. It sucks and must die. It screams "oh, woe is me! Nobody understands my upper-middle class teenage problems! Oh no, my girlfreind of 2 weeks dumped me! What ever shall I do? I think I'll go cry in the corner and wear only black, like my tormented soul."

BOO HOO HOO. Man up, pussy.

Twisted poor souls who do not know where to turn with their questions. There is an answer. It is not Screamo, Emo, or anything of these sorts.
