John

I walked through the crowded room sighing I grabbed some punch and sat down at a table full of chattering old people with fancy suits. I watched as a reluctant girl danced through the crowds with a young man. When the dance was over she walked quickly through the crowds away from him. She grabbed some punch and sat down next to me.

"you know some men would find that rude" I said sarcastically. she looked around quickly checking for some one before talking.

"please don't be an agront little, well you know" She said.

"I won't don't worry I'm not posh, you are though aren't you suppose to like your own type" I said and she smiled.

"John" I said putting out my hand.

"Avelle" she said back before curtseying. suddenly a vision came to me.

A man running with a spear a cry for help and the sound of death.

I opened my eyes to see Avelle staring.

"are you okay".

"Are you okay?" I stared at this young man next to me. "What happened?"

His face quickly turned impassive and he said smoothly, "Nothing."

"..." A awkward pause started between us. I didn't want to seem rude by leaving yet didn't want to seem to concerned and clingy.

He saved me from all that worry. "I must go. Farewell," he said with a little bow.

"Goodbye..." I said quietly, as he was already gone.

I took a small sip of my punch and sighed. I would have to dance and not seem rude. Reluctantly I sat my glass down and stood up. My headache was already leaving and I went to search for my mother.

"Mother?"

"Yes," she said. "Did you greet Miss Felicity yet? This is her debut. You must."

"Well, I not sure how she looks today. It is a masked ball." I said, hiding the annoyance I felt.

"She is the one with that cat mask. Be sure to greet her. We wouldn't want to sound rude."

"Of course, mother." I walked away on search of Miss Felicity. Scanning the room I saw her. A black cat mask with an elegant, flowing dress. I walked over to her and gave a small cursty.

"Excuse me, Miss Felicity," I said with a curtsy.

Her face gave a small, tired smile. "Good evening. You are?"

"Avelle Carvossa. It's a pleasure to be invited at your debut party."

"It is no problem." She seemed tired, especially when her mother called her. "I must go."

"Of course. It was a pleasure meeting you, Miss Felicity."

She swept away. I sighed and walked around for a bit.

As I walked into the ball room, accompanied by my mother and my younger sister, I noticed how the decoration was flawless. My mother would never let anything pass by her, she was very meticulous. AS was Felicity's mother. I walked through the crowd, saying hello to some people I knew. I was particularly searching for Felicity. It was the only person I knew.
As I walked, slowly, through the crowd, the lights started to spin, and everything went black. I saw myself dancing with a tall man. It lasted less than four seconds.
the light come on me again, and I had no balance. Someone grabbed my arm firmly. I looked up to see the boy from my vision.
"Are you alright, miss?" He asked with a firm voice.
"I'm fine, thank you." I tried to put myself back together. He still didn't let go of my arm. I pointed at my elbow, and he let go almost immediately.
"I'm Tristan" The man said.
"Hum, I'm Johanna."
I saw Felicity wave discretely at me, from behind his shoulder.
"Please excuse me" I left, a bit anxiously.
"Felicity, dear! How long has it been?" I asked opening my arms to her, for a quick hug.
"Too long, Johanna."
Piglet: How do you spell love?
Pooh: You don't spell it. You feel it.

Abby~~

Well that was a bore

Abby mentally yawned at this, she was surrounded by people, very old people. She excused herself and wandered about mindlessly not thinking of anything really, curse common courtesy. She then rammed her head into a body,

"So Sorry.." She said

*please someone come meet short little Miss. Abby...*

Tristan~~

I stepped in and introduced myself to the hostess before wandering through the croud without paying any attention to any one. I saw where everyone was going to go, and moved through them, before they could react.

I reached the punch bowl and took a cup, turning to examine the crowd as I drank. They were all so innocent. They all lived in big manors with lots of money. Most of them had never seen the real world.

I sighed and set the glass back down on the table before working my way back through the crowd.

There was a man yelling at a girl about something. I paused to see what was going on but he turned to me and screamed, "What do you want? You looking at my girl?"

I sighed, supressing anger, "No. I was merely going to inquire as to why you would be yelling at a lady in the middle of a party."

"You were looking at my girl!" He screamed, his face flushed, "You want her? Then take her!"

He drew a fancy sword from his belt and slashed at my face. I ducked around the blade, "Calm down. This isn't the time for a fight."

"Oh yes it is."

He stabbed at me but I stepped aside. I slipped my sword out of my sheath and batted his blade away. His next strike came in diagonally and met my own blade. I pushed it aside with my blade and and grabbed his wrist with my free hand. I twisted the blade expertly out of his hands and then knocked him into the guards who grabbed him and restrained him. I flicked his sword to the guards and slid my own sword back into my sheath.

I looked a tthe guard, "Sorry for the disruption. Let me give my condolances to the Host and I'll join you at the station shortly." I couldn't say I wasn't pleased about that. I hated parties.

Madeline

I watched, amused, as a yooung man whipped out his sword and immediatly disarmed another. Very nice, I thought. Well, I might as well introduce myself to him. He could prove to be interesting. Unlike all the other selfish nobles around here. I started to walk over there, then thought against it. I hated talking to people. What if he started up some random conversation?

"Madeline," my mother hissed. "Have you even talked to the host?"

"Of course I have," I lied.

"Well get out there anyways. Find someone to talk to. Do you even know what you look like, hanging out in the shadows by yourself?" She asked. I sighed, here we go again.

"Sorry, mother," I said, walking away as fast as I could. Well, here was my excuse to talk to the man, who had now put his sword away.

"Interesting display," I said, startling him. "Your very good." He turned and shrugged.

"It's interesting a woman, and one of your status, at that, would know about swords," he commented. I almost smiled. That just proved how little everyone knew. While I didn't play with swords like him, I did watch it a lot. Not while my parents were around, of course. As he just stated, it;s pretty much frowned upon.

"I don't know anything about it," I lied. "Though you easily disarmed that other noble."
He looked at me suspiously.

"I'm Madeline by the way," I said, changing the subject, and giving a tiny curtsey. My legs felt a bit wobbly. I really wished I could go home now. Maybe I could go out side and see the stars for a few moments.

"Triston," he replied.

Avelle~

I watched with a curiosity as a young man and most probably a drunk man dueled with glittering blades. This was definitely not a sight you saw at every ball.

Then I watched as a young lady approached him. She looked very similar to my cousin, my father (the duke), brother's daughter.

I walked swiftly toward her.

She was talking to that young man with the sword. No doubt complimenting him on the form and display. We used to hide and watch the men spar each other before, quite a lot. Both of us were tomboys, not girly girls.

She turned around and saw me. "Avelle?"

"Oh, it is you Maddie," I said with relief.

"'Course it's me."

"Right..." I said. We were cousins and sort of close but the strange man who was talking to her was a bit scary. Not many people flaunt their swords at a debut ball. "How are you? And dear Uncle?"

"Quite good." She said. We chatted some small talk for a bit then I left her to talk to that man. I believe she said his name was Tristan. Then I walked away. I was walking mindlessly and then some thing was rammed into me.

I saw a short girl who looked a bit confused, and she said, "So, sorry..."

"It's fine." I replied. "Avelle Carvosso. Nice to meet you."

*WhiteTiger: Is it OK that Maddie is Avelle's cousin? It said Maddie was the Duke's brother's daughter and Avelle is the daughter of the duke, so... Is it okay?

The girl was obbiously lying, but I had no idea why she would, best not to press it. We talked a little longer, me still holding up my gentlemens act. She was probably the only interesting person at the party and as a result I did not want to go, but the suit was driving me crazy.

"I'm going to get some fresh air, would you care to join me?" I said, motioning over my shoulder towards the door. No need to end it so quickly.

We walked through the crowd, me hust a little more gracefully than her. When we were outside she let out a pent up breath and leaned up against the wall, the realizing her dress could get dirty she stood straight.

"You didn't like it in there did you?"

She shook her head, "Nope."

"Niether did I." I dropped the formal speach I had been using inside and began speaking the way I normally did. It was a great relief. I looked over at her and saw her staring up at the stars. "Do you know much about constelations?" I asked.

"Johanna!" I told her, politely, but I'm sure she could hear the relief in my voice. "I thought you'd never arrive. I've been fawned over by one too many old ladies."
"Well, congratulations on your debut. It seems to be a success." She noted. That was the a millionth and one person.
"Johanna, there's something I've been meaning to say... I believe you're the only one I can confide." I told her more quietly.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Come here," I showed her to a small room that was off in a discreet area. "I don't know if you'll believe me when I say this, I may be going mad. I've been having these... dreams I suppose. They're quite frightening and they seem so familiar. It's such an awkward feeling..." I trailed off. Then, a look I had most hoped, yet most regarded as impossible flashed across her face. Empathy.

And I was hoping we'd only have 10, but Teddybear posted a profile when this was already full which made eleven. I guess you should to even it out. BUT NO ONE ELSE!!!

It was nice to get outside and breath the fresh air. The stars were absolutely beautiful. I had alway wanted to study them. They intrgiued me, but I knew my parents would never allow it. Especially my father.

"Do you know much about constellations," Triston asked. I tried to hid my smile.

"A little," I said, shrugging. I actually knew quite a bit, though not as much as I wanted. I remember sneaking out late, bringing maps to match with the stars before me.

"Interesting," he replied. "It sure looks like you know a bit more than a little." I looked over at him, realizing my mistake. I wasn't supposed to know much about them. I wasn't even supposed to recognize them, unless completeming on how 'bright they were tonight.'

"I, um, just remeber hearing my father something about them every no and then," I lied. It was obvious he knew I was lying.

"Well, from what you've heard from your father," Triston grinned. "Tell me what that one is." That was easy. One of my favorites.

"That's the Great Bear," I smiled. I remebered when my brother had shown me that one. Everytime I saw it, it reminded me of him. Triston laughed.

"Good. You know a little bit more than average. I'm surprised."

Great, I thought, please don't let him talk to my mother. She would have a cow. I didn't think he would say anything, but you can never be too sure.

*Forever. I had already saved a spot for my profile, but someone still posted a new profile after I had save my spot. I stated in my post that I had counted nine people and that I was number ten, so whoever posted after my post is at fault. (I'm sort of upset that you didn't notice this before and blamed me for doing something that I didn't do.)*

Elizabeth Bonham (Future)

I entered the magnificent ballroom. Lots of people dancing, in various costumes, some talking, some wondering what they did to deserve such a horrible fate. I, myself, was glad to be at such a gathering, I would never have been allowed to come here, and if my parents found out where I was, they would not be too happy. Still, a woman is only young once, I believe that at the age of sixteen, I CAN attend a ball unacopanied. Even if I didn't know anyone at said ball.
I walked down the grand stairs, taking a deep breath. I could tell that a couple of people had only politely averted their astonshed gazes from my red hair. As if it makes me so horrible to be a reshead, as if your hair color decides your character. I sighed, it would always be that way, even after I had spent hours preparing, with my finest ball gown and mask, and pearls and make up, I would always be a red head. I was already regretting my descision to come, when suddenly someone walked up to me:
" Good Night,Miss, how do you do?" I turned to face the person that had addressed me.

*Anyone can jump in*
