It's been awhile since I've done one of these...
Story:
People, (preferably around 8-10) find themselves with unique powers. (sound familiar?) Some can predict the future, the others can see the past. This is set in Victorian times when they have, not only their powers to worry about, but they need to uphold their social status and reputation. They meet each other at a masked ball, all in an awkward stitch and begin to talk, realizing that they have more in common than they think.
They begin to realize that their powers have been bestowed for a reason. Behind the scenes of the bright, prosperous London, people have begun to disappear. One person taken from their bed never seen again, another at a market street who had strayed far from their parents. Though the precognition power doesn't give specific names, they do give cryptic hints. (As well as the past, but you can't avoid not having names.)
About the disappearances. All the people that are missing are of high rank and status or the children of so. They find out later that a darker magic is taking these people, possessing them, and sending them back into society to greatly influence the world... badly.
The details are yours to create, we can figure out who is the leader of all of these kidnappings and etc. The past and present forseeing and past seeing is the only power these people have. But keep in mind, that the magic does not limit to only these people. Remember, there are other people out there with various powers. No stupid powers like shooting lightning bolts from your eyes. Keep the powers that secondary characters have more mental.
I'd prefer if we have an even amount of people for each power. We'll begin when we have 8 people, but the limit is 10. Keep track on what power other people have.
Rules:
Read the rules of this forum if you haven't already, you should know these.
- No sex scenes, but characters do have the option of being up for love.
- No idealistic characters. They aren't perfect, no matter how much so you want them to be.
- No killing off other people's character unless they give written permission for you to do so. (It doesn't have to be written I guess, it sounds way more impressive like that though.)
- Keep swearing to a minimum.
*Remember, this is Victorian times.*
And anything else you figure would automatically be against the rules anyway. No bending, breaking, or slipping through these rules. There are no loopholes. Nope.
Here's a character stencil and my character~
Name: Felicity Carlisle
Gender: Female
Age: 19 (Just out of finishing school)
Power: Past
Personality: She's reckless, bold, defiant and energetic. Although she does have the ability of restraining this nature, she doesn't choose to very often. She manages to barely uphold a presentable reputation, but she is known for being wild and unladylike. She is not very respectful of her "superiors." Would rather be running around with the street urchins than sitting inside doing needlework and walking around aimlessly with books stacked onto her head. She's cunning and has a suitable amount of wit for a woman of her time.
Appearance: She has long silvery blonde hair and startling emerald eyes with pinpricks of blue. She is tall, willowy, and somehow full of grace. She has elegant features and is quite svelte. She likes the colour blue and reflects that through her dressing habits.
History: She is in a family of high class reputable people. Her mother is known as being a wonderful host, it is in her house in fact, that the masquerade is being set in. Her father is a famous general and highly respected. She has very high standards to live up to. Her brother, Thomas, is an aspiring doctor.
What She's Wearing to the Masked Ball: She has flowing black dress and a cat mask. She is dressed as... a cat.
Other: She is up for love. She is quite skilled at swordplay, as Thomas has trained her at swordplay.
