I glared at Comet.
"I don't know what you are and I don't know what you want , but I do know that you have no bussines in ANYONE'S head."
Comet glared back at me:
"What are you gonna do? Cast a spell on me?"
I went pale and I felt weak with panic, not knowing what to say. That's when Chris came in.
""How many of you are willing to join Ms.Midori's camp?" That made everyone look at him, but unsurprisngly, I still felt the same way, I had earlier.

Alexis

I looked around, everyone was seemed much too shocked for the question. The cave felt tense, like an arguement had just been going on.

"What's going on in here?" I asked.

James

I went and stood by Alexis and Chris to explain. "Well, basically Comet went and grabbed Luis' head because Star gave him some unspoken instruction to do so, at least I didn't hear anything said but I wasn't exactly near them, and so after Kate knocked Comet's hand away Luis freaked out and said Comet was 'in his head'. Kate told Comet she didn't know what he was but he had no business in anyones head and Comet snarled something like 'what, you gonna cast a spell on me?'"

Alexis and Chris looked very confused, along with half the group after my explination.

"So wait...Comet isn't human?" Chris said at last.

Is that the only thing he picked up from that? "Well, I'm beginning to think that I'm the only fully human one around here anymore. Which really sucks by the way."

The group looked around at eachother now. I think it had sunk in that not all of us could be human. I didn't know if this was a good thing, or if it would just tear us even further apart.

Maeve

I watched the group. For once I didn't feel the need to say anything. I already revealed myself so I didn't feel that I had the right to pass judgement on any other beings species. But I was worried about the fact that now not only James, but Alexis and Chris had urged us to join Ms. Midori's camp. There was something up in this jungle.

Luis

He glowered at Comet. He didn't exactly want to go up against the other boy, he didn't know what his powers were, aside from memory theft. Besides, Luis had more or less zero practice with his own.

"You'd better back down, Camille!" Luis shouted at his cousin, "Father says I'm most likely to be next in line, I've got the most potential! So you don't want to mess with me!"

His cousin laughed straight at him, pointing at her skull mask, even more elaborately decorated than the ones her siblings and his wore, "Please, Luis, don't be so ridiculous! You haven't even earned your bones yet! You threw up last time your dad took you on a Gathering. Come back and talk to me when you've got a mask, you silly little boy."

He'd been twelve, then, and since then still hadn't collected the requisite human soul that would earn him a basic skull mask. Camille, from what he'd seen of her when she'd last visited, had already gathered almost fifty. Nothing compared to his father, of course, but impressive for an unbound relative of his.

"I guess." He said carefully, "We'd better be heading to Miss Midori's camp. Before tempers get any more out of hand."

"Are you sure?" I asked. "Because after all, it was not our camp that got attacked it was hers. Shouldn't THEY rather move here? And as for the temper issues, I'm sure if some people held their mouth shut when they should that could be avoided." I said, glaring at Comet.
He glared back, it was all he seemed to like doing. He kept his mouth shut for once, a huge surprise, at least to me.

Chris:

It seemed that there was a lot of drama going on. Appearently, a lot of people weren't human here. It was surprising. How many of my classmates weren't human in that case? Did they ALL live among us? Was I one of the few humans left? No, I would;ve noticed, people would've noticed. The way we had in such a short while. Which lead to another question...why would there be so many different types of species on one island.
I barely listened to what Kate had to say, I did pick up however, that she was having second thoughts about joining.

James

"It wasn't Ms. Midori's camp that was attacked. It was Ms. Midori when she was in the jungle. Probably near here." I explained. Ms. Midori hadn't explained but I was sure the caves would be less safe than her camp.

I looked around the group and hoped they would really consider coming along.

Alexis

"Ms. Midori's camp is very well guarded." I added after James stopped talking. I wasn't extremely fond of Ms. Midori, I didn't quite trust her yet either, but that didn't mean I didn't trust the safety of her camp.

"Besides, she has food." I said.

Maeve

That was all I needed to hear. I remembered the rabbit James had brought. It was much better than anything we had caught on our own.

"I'm up for going." I said. "Safety in numbers and all that. It's a good idea for everyone to stick together."

i woke up slowly and i was greeted by the morning breeze. It was getting morning already. I looked beside me and Iniyuki lay there asleep. I cannot find Mori though, she must have gone off somewhere. I checked the bandages and was happy to see that it was getting healed.

I looked at the fire before me. It was dying so i had to make a new one. It is time to make some breakfast for her. I checked the food box and i was happy enough to see that it can last for anothere day.

PS
i was suppose to put a picture of iniyuki at the front pagebut this time i found the one

I watched everyone. As I'd expected, no one trusted Comet anymore. We could leave them now without anyone resisting. One this island where the wild lived, we would thrive.

"We'll go where you aren't." I said. Comet nodded. Everyone looked a little surprised; it wasn't me they hated-it was Comet. Now that we knew both he and Kate's secret, we could prepare for it.

Even though he knew he should try to forgive Comet for what he'd done, to tell the twins that they didn't have to leave at all, he couldn't bring himself to. Comet had read his mind, had stolen his secrets. And that was not something Luis could easily forgive. He would have told the truth anyway sooner or later, once he felt that he could without fear of being judged. That's why he'd told Kate, he just knew that he could trust her.

And now she was suggesting that they stay in the caves. He didn't know what to say, the others seemed to all want to go to Miss Midori's encampment. He stepped over to her, putting a hand lightly on her shoulder, "I think that if all the others are going there, Kate, it would be safest for us to as well." He said quietly, "But if you don't want to go, then I'll stay with you."

Luis sincerely hoped that he was doing the eight thing, and that he'd be able to deal with whatever had attacked Miss Midori if it attacked him and Kate. With his powers, he was no pushover. But he had no skill for physical combat, and if there were too many, he didn't think he could protect himself. More importantly, he didn't think he could protect Kate.

Star and I stood, both relieved and disapointed no one had stopped us. Well, she was more disapointed than I was. I just wanted to get out of there. My hand was still tingling from the contact with Luis, as I knew it would. Taking memories was a funny thing and Luis deserved to hate me.

Star and I went outside, and I faced her. She nodded as the thoughts passed from my mind to hers. "I'm sorry, dude. It had to be done. To protect my sister, I'll do anything."

I'm sorry I made you do that, Comet.

It was needed. At least we know what we're dealing with here.

She nodded and turned back into the cave.

~Star~

"Luis." He turned. You could see the suspision in his eyes. I didn't blame him. What Comet and I did was unforgivable-even if he didn't know I had a part in it.

I held out my hand for a handshake, "I want to thank you for not punching my brother in the face for what you did. That could have gotten messy."

He took my hand, and I gave him the memory of Comet's apology. I had more control over my powers than Comet, so the mere contact with another person wouldn't transport any of my memories to the person.

With a small smiled, I walked away. "Be safe."

I watched as Comet and Star left the caves.

"We aren't seriously going to let them leave are we?" I asked. No one responded. "It's dangerous out there!"

James came to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. "They're smart. They'll be safe. And besides, they know where to find us."

I sighed. I wasn't happy, but I agreed. I let James lead me and the others out of the cave to Ms. Midori's camp. I hoped we were all doing the right thing.

i woke up. I can feel the morning breeze brush against my face. I sat up and the first thing i noticed was that Mori ahs dissapeared again.

"Good Morning, Ms. Midori," Lindy greeted me as she was cooking two rabbits. I laid my head on the pole and wrap myself with my kimono.
"Where's Mori..." i can't help asking. I still did not trust mori. IF she's gone, that would only mean that she is with that beastly pack.
"She must have gone for a walk," she said shyly.
"I'll go looked for her." i said
"You can't Ms. Midori. You are still weak."
"But i'm concerned you know..." i lied. Despite what had happened to me i still wanted to find out what on earth she was planning.
"Please, Ms. Midori, Mori will be fine. You are already injured. I did not know what will happen if you get injured more." she insisted. I gave a sigh and agreed with her. She has a point though.

I simply closed my eyes and pulled my kimono closer to me as i feel my stomach grumbling for food.

I looked at Luis, and smiled at him gratefully. But I couldn't ask him to do that, most of all because that would be exposing us both to some unknown danger, and we had to stick together, all of us, if we wanted to survive:
"It's okay, we'd better just go with everyone else. I misunderstood, it wasn't her camp that got attacked, it was her while she was in the jungle." He nodded, relieved. I could tell he didn't like the idea of staying here without everyone else.
Star and Comet wanted to leave, though. That wasn't right. Still, it was not up t ome to stop them, there was a room full of people that could do it, I mean why me?
No one said anything until after they'd left, but nothing changed the fact that they did, even when Meave pointed out that we couldn't just let them go. Perhaps, in their own time they would come back, may be we would come across them, eventually we would reunite, because no one can fight the jungle alone or in pairs, like Comet had said, no matter what they're made of.

Chris

Me and Alexis waited for everyone to make up their desicion, sooner than later it seemed like everyone had decided to go. Star and Comet left, even though I did not neccesary agree with that. Still it was their life to live so they could, if they wanted to.
"So let's set off, shall we?" I said, after the drama had died down to a somewhat normal level. We got out of the cave, and started walking towards Ms. Midori's camp. The trail seemed strong enough, still everyone stayed close together. I put my hand around Alexis, instintively, I didn't want her to get hurt.

He was a little surprised when Star thanked him for not punching Comet in the face, and he shook her hand without thinking about it. Suddenly, he felt her inside his mind, and very nearly snapped at her. Then it sunk in that she wasn't touching his memories. Rather, she was showing him something. Comet - apologising to him.

I guess he just didn't want to say it in front of the whole camp. He suddenly felt a little bad for getting angry at Comet. It sounded like he'd been acting for someone other than himself, had bee doing it in order to protect Star. Luis wasn't happy about him finding out his secret before Luis was ready to tell them, but he wasn't as furious as he had been a minute ago.

As he watched them leave, he instinctively knew that they'd be back eventually. Everyone needed to get used to their drastically changed circumstances in their own way. If Comet and Star had to confront the jungle directly for a while to deal with it, then they had to do it that way.

He himself was relieved that Kate wasn't going to ask him to put himself on the same position.

The whole group got together what few meagre possessions they had in the caves and started towards Miss Midori's camp. Luis saw Chris put his arm around Alexis, and glanced at Kate. But...he remained a little nervous. Would he be able to get say with something like that? Maybe later. Hw thought, telling himself that for now, he needed to figure out the answers to the inevitable questions about his spciea that would come up when they finally got settled in to their new camp.

I blushed as I felt Chris' arm around me. I looked away from him to hide it. I didn't usually let myself get this way. This island was screwing with my personality.

"Is everything okay?" Chris asked, noticing I had looked away.

"Yeah, everything is fine." I lied.

As we walked through the jungle I felt my insides tearing at me. I tried to remember the last time I transformed, I couldn't. Had it really been that long ago? I placed an arm over my stomach and concentrated on walking. I needed to stay human. I also needed time to be a wolf soon. I remembered what had often happened back in the foster homes, changing without much warning, terrifying the other foster kids, being sent away again.

Maeve had come clean to everyone about her species, and many others were beginning to seem a little more than human too.

A rustling came from the bushes. I gasped and Chris' pulled me away from the sound. I noticed that Luis had stepped in front of Kate and Maeve hid herself behind James.

"Mori?" James asked when a small girl stepped out of the bushes.

She nodded like she heard him, but didn't seem like she had understood.

"Mori what are you doing here?"

She stared blankly at James.

"Come on Mori, let's go back to see Ms. Midori." James went to take her arm. She pulled away and snarled at us.

James stayed where he was but the rest of us backed away a little. "Mori, come on." he didn't seem phased by her refusal.

She backed away into the bushes.

"Ugh, I'll go get her." James said. "The camp is right down the path, not much longer."

James

I ran after Mori into the jungle. She acted so young that she probably wasn't capable of taking care of herself in the jungle alone.

"Mori!" I called. "Mori come here!"

A loud hissing came from my left. I turned to see a large lizzard like creature coming towards me. Mori came behind it, smiling and holding a smaller version of the creature in her arms.

"Mori what is that?!" I yelled.

"These are my pets." she spoke clearly but still rather childlike. "They do not like you being here. I told Ms. Midori and she didn't listen, will you listen James?"

I was in shock. The large creature walked gracefully towards me, too gracefully for it's size. It circled me and wrapped its long scaley tail around me legs.

"I always liked you James." Mori said. "I would hate to have to hurt you."

"W-what do you want?" I stammered.

"I want you all off my island in three moons time." she growled. "If you are still here then there will be consequences."

Mori's 'pet' went back to her and she disappeared into the jungle again. I stood there, rooted to the spot, for a few moments before I turned and sprinted towards camp.

"You know what? After i'm healed and back to my feet, how about going to the rest of the jungle?" i

said cheerfully as i ate my breakfast.

"The rest," Lindy asked me quizically?

"Yeah, we had only track the surface of the middle part. There is still a lot there. Besides we can stop

to the hot springs! What do you think? " i siad to her thinking that by doing that i might find the source

of those creatures.

"But-" Lindy tried to protest but she stopped suddenly ash she looked at the edge of the forest. I

followed where she is looking at and i chuckled.

I grinned when i saw a group of people mostly from the ones from the cave going out of the forest.

"Hey, Lindy, can you escort them here. I don't want anyone to be wounded from my traps." i said and

Lindy nodded obediently before she walked to the them.

I looked back again and wondered where did Mori went? I was still curious want she want. I just hope

no one else got injured from her.
