Gene Strike

When you were young you were injected with an experimental gene alteration formula that gave you super powers. The formula has now finished its job and the powers have come to you, you slowly find your powers but when you do they know it and they find you. They bring you back to the lab where you can either be a recruiter or a lab rat the chose is yours.

Recruiters- they are the people who take in the people with powers, they capture them and then bring them back to it, train new recruits and are guards for the complex. They are usually bad but some are only there because they want to live
Lab Rat- they are basically just there as well lab rats, they are painfully tested trying to find out ways to make the formula stronger or control the powers. They are usually the good, but are sometimes the ones that have no control or are to weak to be an officer.

Name: Jason 'Spook' Davis

Personality: After nearly six years of what he regards as imprisonment and torture, 'Spook', as he is called by the recruiters, has more or less become what they call him. He rarely speaks to his captors, and eats only a little more often than he speaks. He's angry at people in general, and has very little faith in them. He's very strong-willed, though, and repeatedly attempts escapes.
Power(s): Telekinesis, Phasing, Invisibility. His powers gave him his name, he can turn completely or partially invisible, become immaterial enough to walk through any barrier and he can lift objects up to the weight of a car with his mind.
Other skills: He's got some martial arts experience from his initial stay, just after he was first captured. He's no expert, though, because they stopped training him after his first attempt to escape.
Other: Up for love. Currently, they keep him tagged with several small machines similar to nanobots, which track the electrical signature of his heart, and can follow him anywhere. They're programmed to deliver an electrical shock if he phases and then comes back to reality.

Personality: She's only been in 'captivity' as she calls it for a few weeks and she already hates it. She's very cold and hatefull to those she cannot trust but if she trusts you it's a totally different story. Although she's only been there for a short period of time she's constantly shifting into different things and trying to sneak her way out.

Power(s): Shapeshifting, animal telepathy, animal mimicry (able to take on aspects of different animals without shifting)

Other skills: Great with guns once she gets her hands on one, amazing with first aide and technology, and quite good at hand to hand combat.

Appearance: She has long thick ebony hair, brilliant violet eyes, a small light build, a pale complexion, and an intimidating stance.

Personality: She's dark and mysterious with a twisted way of looking at life. She's had a complicated past and a darker future. She hates the lab but knows its a test of faith. She's very religious and very solemn. She acts like life is a funeral that she must endure. She walks around in a trance sometimes because she can never control when a message from the past or present will be sent to her. She lives a very unpredictable and tortured life. Overall though, she doesn't hold grudges and is very accepting of her situation. She takes life as it's thrown to her. She's adapted to her lifestyle pretty well, and is pretty much a nice person. She's not quick to love but if you crack her shell you'll find compassion and buried wishes.

Power(s): She's a very advanced necromancer (which includes seeing the past and knowing the future, speaking to the dead, knowing when you're going to die, and even bringing people back from the dead), she's a shadow speaker, and a soul seer.

Other skills: She's extremely tough and has amazing endurance skills. She's pretty athletic and very intelligent. Although her life is fractured by her horrible powers.

Personality: Dark and shy. Doesn't talk much and keeps to himself. Although he seems like a dead person, without any emotions and love, he really is loving and caring inside, its just that he doesn't trust many people and only cares about his close friends. Tends to befriend those who make the strange seem normal and who are dark or tend to stay alone, as he does.

Power(s): Yin/Yang controllable, Can dematerialize and enter and control another person to a certain extent and absorption. In long, he can control Light and Darkness, he can enter another persons body and mind and control that person to a certain extent, meaning that he cannot do something that that person's subconscious mind does not want to do in any way, for example he cannot kill the person he is controlling he can however do almost anything other than that other than anything written in the person subconscious minds that cannot be changed. and he can use/absorb another persons powers when he/she is near him.

Other skills: Intelligent and a quick thinker, convincing and friendly when needed to be.

Other: Up for love. He doesn't tend to use his powers when weak and when close to another with powers or without powers because he would unwillingly either absorb their powers forever or kill them by absorbing their life force.

Personality: She's typically a calm person, but being in the lab for too long sometimes frays her nerves. She often meditates to keep herself calm, but when she loses control, she has panic attacks and her "abilities" break loose. She loves to take pictures with an old polaroid camera, which helped her first discover her powers.

Power(s): Nicole has a strange ability to change an object for a short amount of time, completely morphing it into another object. she first discovered this one day by accident, looking at a picture she had taken, and the image simply changed. If she panics, objects all around her will distort and change into random things; although, she has never been able to change a person before.

Other skills: Nicole loves to relax and meditate, so it has become one of her "skills".

i guess we can start now, and if anyone wants to join they can do it at anytime, and skull your spook thing is kind of impossible since in this everyone was injected when they were not even a a week old.

He walked down the almost empty prison hall. All the others were in bed waiting to be woken up for the next round of tests. Brad walked down two cells then opened it, he found Evan Daniels and Jason Davis. "Davis, Daniels, get up time for training." Brad lead them down the hall and through the maze of corridors to the death room. "now, i hope you guys live your my favorite powers, and i would hate to lose them." Brad shoved them into the door and then sat down outside as he heard the room go on.

Evan~~
Evan and Spook, were lead to the death room that night by the most uncaring guard Brad. Once they made it there they were forced in and the traps and weapon released. The various weapons emerged from lasers to saws. Their bracelets that kept their powers off came off and there powers came to life.

We were shoved to the "training" room by that horrible idiot of a guard. He was all brawn, no brains. But sometimes that helped.

The room looked more like a dungeon than anything else. I stuck close to Nicole for support. She was my good friend and I would rather not face this torture alone.

The moment we stepped inside the doors slammed behind us. The dark room was illuminated by a single candle. We paced around a bit.

Then the whole room seemed to come alive. It was a maze. It was like we were lab rats. The ones the scientists sent into the white mazes to test their intelligence.

But this was an extremely complex labyrinth constructed of iron with booby traps every square foot. There was only one foolproof way to get across. That was impossible to map out so we'd have to fight their booby traps of carnivorous plants and huge syth that swung across the path that would cut your head off if you didn't stop it in time or duck. We've had worse too.

For example to obstacle course... someone nearly lost an arm to a group of hungry crocodile/lion hybrids.

We knew the only way to exit this room would be to complete the labyrinth. We stepped forward.

Nicole:
Sigh. Another day in paradise, she thought to herself as she was pushed into the training grounds, as they called it. Her patience was running a little thin at the moment; the guard had roughly seized her in the middle of a meditation "ritual", as she called it, thus shocking her back to reality and leaving her a little tense.

Luckily, she had been paired with her friend Melanie today, and it was just another labyrinth. They had been tested on these a few times before, just with different....obstacles each time. Today though, she had help. On her own, she was just a helpless little girl who could merely change objects into whatever she wanted. Melanie was at least strong, and could tell Nicole what to change the obstacles into, and used them to get them out.

"Mel, you know how it goes," they often played around with their powers in their spare time, if they had any, "just tell me what to change the stuff into." Nicole glanced left, then right; everything was way too still and silent.
