Gene Strike

Evan~~

i was beginning to feel tired and i could see the others getting to the same point. I shot a blast of lightning at several guards then a barrage of fireballs. The guards that came now seemed immune to the attacks. he looked at the uniforms and frowned, they were wearing a new uniform which meant the elites were in the fight now.
"quick, we got to run" i shouted to the others. They nodded and then with a few final blows ran, i followed them. But before i left sent a 30 meter thick wall of rock between them to slow them down.
"where do we go" i heard someone yell.
"follow me, i think the way out is this way" i heard someone say but could not see who.

Concentrating, she used her mind to change a few of the rocks into flashlites. The rest, though, she changed into hard metal, encasing all of the guards trapped within. It would at least give them a head start. And that was what they needed. She shoveled the flashlites into her arms.

"Guys! Catch!" She threw the flashlites into the air, and knew they would be caught by the other lab rats, rather with their minds or just their hands. Now she wondered where they were going, and how far they would get...

Jason

He caught the flashlight with his mind and kept running, phasing through a steel door and dragging enough telekinetic force behind him to tear it off its hinges to allow the others through. Mikael could have achieved more or less the same thing with his own power, but as far as Spook could see, the other boy had thrown down the gauntlet. It was his turn to show off.

He heard the door crumple as he kept running, Mikael suddenly beside him, "How's that?" He muttered, raising an eyebrow at Jason.

Zire caught up with them, still in the officer's body, "This is neither the time nor the place, you two."

Spook stopped suddenly, nodding. He reached out towards the crumpled door, lifting it from the ground. "Didn't you hear me?" Zire shouted.

"I heard just fine. Mikael, give me a hand unfolding this." The door was soon in its original shape, aided by Mikael's control over its metal particles and Spook's telekinetic shaping. He set it back into the frame. "Now weld it in place, that should give us a bit extra time." He grinned at Mikael, "What say we turn our escape route into the kind of maze they always made us run?"

*What i don't get it, *

"Sounds like a plan" i smirked to Spook. While the others ran we slowly reversed down the corridor, adding twists and turns and cavernous drops as we went.
"Sorted" Spook laughed
"Yeah" i smiled "now lets run." We turned and sprinted down the corridor after the others reaching as the first scream reached us from the corridor.

Brad~~

I sat in the lounge sipping a glass of coffee. It was morning and all had been going well. We had reached a new way to improve the elite's amour, and to increase powers power. And i was feeling good while i read my book, Inkheart. Until that was i heard there had been an escape. I quickly sprung to fight slipping on my uniform for the elites. I was able to make it there but when i was seen they quickly ran and that pain Evans tried to stop us with a measly wall. I easily crushed it and we ran to find them but they were gone already.


Evan~~
We quickly got away from the inside once we saw the elites and ran to the roof when it happened. We were able to confuse them thanks to Spook and Mikael. We had made it to the top and now were flying away in one of the helicopters. I flew us out, keeping the clouds below us for coverage as we cut through the day sky.

"Wow," she said loudly, trying to speak over the roar of the engine, "I didn't know these guys kept helicopter's up here!" She was practically yelling now, as they soared above the clouds. She was fascinated to see how much the outside world had changed in just a few years.

Lightly, she nudged Melanie's arm and pointed through the clouds, to a small suburbian town. Smiling, they both hoped to get away from that lab for good, and start their own lives....But they all knew they would probably be running for a long time.

Melanie~
I followed Nicole's finger and saw the pleasant town. We had never been out like this and it felt so good.

"But where are we going to go? We have no where to run!" I asked someone.

Evan~~

I looked back to the others. "we are going down to my family farm upstate, no one is up here during the winter so we should be safe, now" i said as i began to bring us higher. Then i heard the first blow. It was defining thump that was right below us rocking the copter. I looked down and saw that it was a group of elites following us in another copter. I switched it to auto pilot and then plugged in the directions and ran to the back with the others. I quickly saw another shot coming, it was a a plastic explosive. I shot a ball of fire at it and then saw it melt away under the heat.

She was tossed aside, and she thought that she might even fall out of the helicopter for a moment. Luckily, she caught herself and managed to sit back up.

"What was that?" She saw Evan set the Autopilot feature, then join then in the back. Many large blasts could be heard even under the sound of the roaring helicopter. She watched as a ball of fire extinguished a plastic grenade the Elites had shot at them.

"Guys, the flashlights!" She had a good idea. Quickly everyone handed her the flashlights; there were about four left. With as much strength as she had, she threw them out of the helicopter, towards the Elites. Using her mind, she turned them into homing missiles, and trained them onto the Elite helicopters, keeping theirs out of focus.

Evan~~

The men easily dodged the missiles. Frustrated i hit the side, and almost shocked the others with an electric blow. Then i had an idea, the missiles were still in view. "hey Nicole, though heat seekers" i asked
"yeah, why" Nicole answered.
"this is why" i said then let a stream of fire from my mouth, it bent around the copter and i could hear the Elites laughing at it but not for long. I lead the fire in front of the missiles and then after the took the bait back behind the copter. The i made the fire go out and the missiles crashed into the copter and it began to fall fast to the ground.
"okay, spook, i need you to check the copter for trackers on the outside" i said
"okay" was all he said and he put his head through the floor and began to turn it. A few seconds later he pulled out a small black disc and threw it to me. "this one"
"yeah, and now we have a way to throw them off" i said " then throw the disc to Mikael. "i need you to send that thing as far as you can that way" i said point to the east.
Mikael nodded then sent a pulse at the disc which went flying out. After that i climbed back to the pilots seat an began to fly again. But after a minute i realized it i had no idea how and turned the auto pilot back on.

Sighing, she sat back in her seat, shaken. Luckily, she hadn't panicked and things didn't go hay-wire. Everyone was accounted for and unharmed. This time, even though her missiles had missed the first time, she felt like she had accomplished something.

"Hey, Evan." She was shouting again. Helicopters were annoying that way.

"Yeah?" Evan looked at her.

"Where did you say we were going? Cause anywhere but here is good for me." She smiled and tried to make herself comfortable.

Evan~~

"My family farm. It is upstate, we use it as a vacation home in the summer, but no one is there this time of year. We can hide out there for now, plan the next move out" I said
"okay" she said. "so how long will it take"
"about 4 minutes at the longest, maybe less if i can keep the wind down"

"I can help with that" I said walking up to Evan and keeping my right hand on his shoulder.

I looked at Evan for his permission, which he gave. I took a deep breath and slowly absorbed the outer limits of his power enabling the both of us to control the wind. I did not absorb all his powers or even try to absorb them in fear of getting their memories in my mind too.

After a few minutes, 3 to be precise, we reached Evan's Family farm. From the looks of it, it was deserted, but we knew there was no way to be certain until every inch of the farm was checked.

Mikael

"Um guys i'm not sure its safe to land here" i shouted over the engine "i'm picking up a lot of people shaped blobs of iron in there and well a lot of guns although if you give me a minute i can solve that little problem." I held out my hand and deftly lifted one of their pistols from its holster and blew the owner up the wall. "Um you might want to re-decorate. It's gonna be a little bit messy." and then i pulled the pin out of every grenade in the room. A few seconds later a plume of smoke came out of the window. " Can someone clean that up?" I asked guiltily.
