What do you mean, "post as pictures"? You mean, as pictures of handwritten pages? I'm not sure there are any rules against it, but it might be harder to get reviews. People are used to just seeing type to review. A lot of critics copy and paste quotes from the work, as well, so posting the work as pictures would make it harder for them.

If you mean you're working on a graphic novel, then you should be able to. I'm not sure on this, but I think it would go in art and photography. Or, maybe "other."

Hey everybody! For the intents and purposes of this post (and this website), I'm somberelf. I've been told by many people - primarily teachers and students - that I have great potential in my writing skills, though I've never invested time in writing for reasons other than school assignments (and occasionally essay contests). I have absolutely no idea what I'd like to write about, and I've only genuinely started writing recreationally in a journal. I appreciate all feedback on my submissions, and look forward to reading others' as well.

I'm an eighteen year old male and single (not currently looking for a relationship, online or otherwise). I'm currently a senior at a high school in Orlando, Florida, and I live at home with my two brothers (who are both two years younger than me and identical twins), my parents, a black labrador retriever, and two cats (mother and daughter). I have very dark brown eyes, dirty blond hair (more brown than blond), and freckles. I'm 5' 6" and 128 pounds. I am also left-handed.

My list of hobbies and similar activities isn't very high. I like to read; particularly fantasy and science fiction, but I step outside these boundaries every now and then. I'm ashamed to admit that I have (what my parents have dubbed) an "addiction" to videogames; particularly MMORPGs. As most people in the United States do, I enjoy watching television. My favorite television show is Lost.

I'm very intelligent and introspective, though I have a large variety of hinderances. I suffer from OCD, ADD, and general anxiety disorder. I also have a major stutter, which has appeared only within the past couple of years. I have a lack of confidence and a low self-esteem (in many ways, not all), both of which I suspect are due to the fact that I am short for my age. I'm extremely socially awkward, and have difficulty making and keeping friends. I am generally very uncomfortable being around peers in school, though I maintain enough control to hide this fact from others.

For almost everything I do, I tend to write/type much more than is necessary (as I'm sure you've already figured out by now). I'm very good with writing mechanics; in fact, something that I consider both a gift and a curse is my ability to find flaws in grammar, spelling, or punctuation in all professional forms of literature. For example, in the book "The Kite Runner," somewhere between pages 210 and 216 (please bear with my ambiguity; this was a couple of months ago that this happened and I don't have the book with me right now), I spotted a huge spelling error - and this was the most recent copy of the book. Within basically every text I've read I've discovered at least two flaws in mechanics. Something I've noticed about my writing is that I make frequent use of semicolons, parentheses, and dashes. I prefer typing over writing because I am an extremely fast typer.

Hi, I'm new to this site... Obviously. I'm actually on a few other writing sites, which is how I heard about YWS in the first place, but this is a totally new layout. So I'm confused...
I have a tendancy to ramble and to use either far too many commas or far too many ellipses...
I'm English, living on the South Coast of England, where it has been raining all day. I now look like a poodle. It's very attractive.
As for what I like to read/write, I'm not entirely sure. I read/write anything and everything. At the moment, I'm reading a book by Terry Brooks because it came highly recommended, but I tend to read "classics".
I listen to really obscure people such as Iron & Wine, who happens to look like Jesus (no offence to religious people out there... it is true though). If you listen to him too, you're awesome. And you're mine.
Right, enough rambling. Just to let you all know, I joined this site mainly to critique people's work, since I enjoy it and it's a helpful thing to do. My writing is shocking, but that's really the point of sites like these, right?
Anyway, thank you for bothering to read this far. I promise I'll stop now. I'm stopping. Bye.

Hello and greetings. I'm LastPaladin of what you decide and by Paladin I'm going by DnD type ones. The kind, generous, selfless and protective kinds. I'm an avid photographer going out often to pubs, but I don't drink, still have great times with drinking Irn bru. Like somber I'm also introspective and in some ways it's a curse. My main facets are poetry. But I am writing a novel too and a script with a friend. Horror. My favourite writers are Ian Irvine and Christopher Pike. I love debating and spend my times often on the cesspit known as yahoo answers. When not doing that, I'm listening to music, playing Xbox 360 and having great banter with me mates outside.

I actually don't know if I'm new or not haha, I joined this site earlier but drifted away as I got busy with other things. I didn't even have time for writing and for the most part nothing to write about. A very long and tiring writer's block, but somehow I keep returning to writing, just as I have returned to this site! I remember it doing some good to me even though I barely started off with it.
Anyways, let me re-introduce myself I'm 17 years old, love to read and write and like most of us here, have this crazy wild aspiration to get published one day. I think that's enough to know why I'm here!
