Imagine you have just awoken. You hear the silence of the morning. You get up and stretch and do your morning stuff. Maybe even earlier though, you realize just how silent it is. You begin to get worried. Then after a frantic search, you realize that you are alone. Your family is gone. There is a reason for this though and your parents knew it was coming. Your parents are secret agents. They have mysterious abilities that enable them to travel through time. The past, however, is catching up to them. Early on, 24 people who somehow held this power formed a group. It was to destroy an ancient power that was bent on destroying the world. In the mix, 12 of them betrayed the others and are now, as we speak, helping the power. The other 12, your parents, are being hunted into extinction. With them gone, the whole world will be slowly, and obliviously, demolished. You are being left alone, helpless. Not as helpless as they might think though. You have inherited your parent's power. It lies inside of you, buried, waiting to be used, unleashed. Later in the day, after calling the police, you get a call back from one of them. She is not a policeman. She is a general. She is one of the 12 who remained good. She has sired no children. And she knows your potential. She has the addresses and locations of the 11 children, 5 girls, 6 boys, who's parents were abducted. She is coming to find you and bring you back into a group and hopefully train you to go back in time and destroy the evil. Or in the least, stall it. You each have something in common with each other. You have never seen or heard about your Grandparents. You are only children You have known each other since little children but are not related. You don't know how you know each other but you just do. One of your parents belonged to this group. Your other parent knew nothing. You each share the same birthday and are each 12 years old. It seems to be a RECURRING NUMBER. You have sort of an empathy link with each other but you don't know how it came to be or why. Your fates though, have just been forced together by a women who calls herself Melpomene. You have been introduced to something you have never thought possible. Time travel and changes in history. You now know where your mother or father went when he/she left you with a babysitter and went to a last minute "cocktail party." Little problem. The 12 traitors will know when something's up. They have clever disguises. Trust no one but each other. And guess what? Like your own parents, the traitors have also sired children. 12 of them though. You are at a disadvantage. Watch out for them. They are like you in more ways then you could even imagine. Two gadgets will be presented to you. And they are a huge book called the History of the World. In it are the dates of every disaster, natural or not, the death toll, the coordinates and the main problem. Each one of them have been caused by the traitorous 12 or the ancient power. What you need to find out is how they caused it and how to stop them from doing it. You have also received a backpack to carry it in so it will be with you always. It makes the book seem light. It also lightens anything else you choose to put in it. It never gets in the way. Your mission. •To rescue your parents •To save the world No pressure. Put together a profile like this: Name: (Don't need age. You're all 12) Appearance: (Pictures are always welcome) History: (anything odd happened to you that you can't explain?) Special ability: (no magic besides time travel. This is hardly a fairy tale) Weakness: (Come on. You have to have one.) Anything else you care to add. Sample profile: Name: Melpomene Age: 20 Appearance: Dark brown hair. Hazel eyes. Tall willowy figure. Your typical secret agent complete with the overcoat and homburg. History: Escaped the abduction. The most determined of all of them to destroy the power. Her best friend, Calliope, turned bad. Special Ability: Extreme endurance skills. Weakness: Anything to do with her friend. No godmodding, sex scenes, perfect characters, killing off other people's characters unless granted permission to do so, or anything else on that list of 'don't dos.' No loopholes either. Read this through pretty thoroughly because it's confusing. It helps a lot. Work with the other people too. As I said, this can be pretty confusing. ONLY ONE CHARACTER PER PERSON PLEASE. Make a compromise with them or whatever. I'M WATCHING YOU! (joking) Any questions, feel free to PM or just write it here. I need to wait for 11 people to start. Tell your friends or whatever.

"Melpomene, they...it felt like they electrocuted me" Emily had tears running down her face, but Melpomene needed answers.
" So now they know where we are." Melpomene said, looking out the window. "Where were you?" Melpomene asked turning back to Emily.
"Tibet," Emily whispered, shifting her gaze to the floor.Jake looked away from Emily. He could see Abi on the chair in the corner of the room she looked deep in thought. Chase still lay unmoving on the hospital like bed in the center of the room. Jake couldn't bear it, he had to leave. This place was too much for him, too much trouble, and he couldn't see that they had gotten any closer to their parents.

Melpomene's really angry, no maybe she's confused, I don't know. Chase what's going to happen to Em? Abi thought, she was tired of Chase asking questions.
Abi, I don't know, but you have to look out for her, please. You're the only other person I can communicate with, besides Emily. Chase pleaded.
How do you know? Have you ever tried to talk to any one else like this? Abi's frustration was beginning to show.
No,I haven't. Just, please Abi, don't be mad. Help me, help Emily. Chase was desperate, Abi could tell.
Okay, what do I do? Melpomene's still asking questions.

She was sobbing into her hands giving Melpomene and the others muffled replies. Finally, Zire just asked: "Emily, what exactly did they do to you?"

Emily looked up, her eyes red and puffy. "This man tortured me. It felt like he put millions of needles into my skin and signed his name with them. Then he left for a while and came back with this weird box. He attached probes to my skin and shocked me." She shuddered involuntarily. The others looked at her with horror. "He just kept shocking me. And, and.. I could feel myself changing with each shock."

Zire turned away from her and looked out the window, eyes filled with horror and wonder. Chase twitched in his sleep. Emily got up and kissed his cheek. "I am going to go to bed. I just can't take answering any more of your questions." She left the room.

I came into this world wrinkled and ugly. And no matter how much I accumulate here, it's a short journey. I will go out of this world wrinkled and ugly. So I enjoy life.

Chase, I'm leaving the room. Emily left.Abi thought before walking out the door.
I know. I heard.Chase thought back.
Abigayle walked down the hall to Emily's little yellow room. Abi could remember when she use to stay in the yellow room, before her aunt went nuts. She knocked on the door four times before Emily said anything.
"It's me. Abi." She said, hoping that would persuade Emily to let her in.
"You can come in." Emily replied quietly from the other side of the door. Her reply sounded muffled like she was using a pillow to hold back her sobs. But Abi encountered the exact opposite when she swung open the door. Emily was mad. Tears of anger rolled down her cheeks.
"Why does this always happen to me?" Emily asked, Abi remained silent fearing Emily's reaction if she answered."Am I weak? Is that why people do this to me?"
"No," Abigayle whispered,"you're the opposite of weak. The fact that you have gone through so much shows that you're strong. Stronger than me, maybe even stronger than Chase, but not weak."

Chase say Emily smile a little as he thought those words. "But what are we going to do now," she whispered.

"But, Chase, you are still in a coma, and those goons could be coming any minute because of me," Emily said, eyes flashing. "We have to stop them, and save our parents. What they did to me was probably minor compared what they did to our parents." Abi was staring at Emily, as if trying to make sense of her.

Trembling, Emily thought. The stupid tracking devises were going to be in her blood system for weeks, maybe even months. She had to give her friends more time to train. She either had to leave, or have them leave, which wasn't a very good idea, considering that it is a very bad idea to move somebody in a coma.

"I have to go. Now. I'll try to find somewhere safe to hide, but they will most likely find me. Keep each other safe."

And with that, Emily was out of the room, and out of the house.

Emily, what the hell do you think you are doing!? Chase screamed in her head. She did her best to ignore him. She waved down a taxi and told the driver to take her to the nearest airport. The driver looked at her skeptically, but she assured that she had money.

Emily? Chase's voice was softer now, and much harder to ignore. She shook her head. She loved him, and she wanted him and her friends to be safe.

The drive to the airport was agonizing with Chase begging her to come back every five seconds and the driver looking at her like some sort of freak. Upon arriving, Emily gave the driver a wad of cash from her backpack and rushed into the airport.

She looked up a the flight board, trying to decide which country would be safest. She shook her head when Chase kept pleading for her to come back. She would only come back when her friends were safe.

Suddenly, her eyes were caught by a familiar flash of red hair. Scanning the area she saw someone who she thought that she would never see again.

Her mother.

She stared wide eyed at her mother, who was talking to a strange man in dark hair, looking anxious. She was pointing in Emily's direction and arguing.

Emily, I have a bad feeling about this. Emily ignored him, and kept staring. Then, her mother turned her way, and she saw that the woman wasn't her mother at all. She had the exact same hair that Emily had once had, but her face was all wrong. Tears budding, Emily turned away. "Chase, please wake up. I am tired of all this drama," she murmured. "I don't know what to do anymore, or how to feel. I keep thinking that this will be all over in a few days, and that I might be dead." She sat down on a plastic airport chair, too exhausted to cry.

He wanted desperately to jump up from his bed and run to Emily to comfort her. He wanted to do something, but it was like he was stuck.

Abi, I can't it's too dangerous for all of us.Emily said, Abi could tell she was still crying, her thoughts were all jumbled up.
Emily, it's more dangerous for you to go off by yourself with that tracker thing. They'll come after you, please don't let that happen.Chase said rejoining the cause.

Suddenly, Emily was yanked up by her hair. Spinning around, she saw the Master, his eyes bulging, and his face red.

"WHERE ARE THEY?" he yelled. Several people screamed as he pulled out a gun and led Emily out the doors. "You are going to tell me where they are," he said, pushing her toward the street. Numbly, she nodded.

Two hours later, Emily was pushed out of the cab and walked up the driveway to the Aunt's house. The Master grinned and kicked open the door. "Everybody out!" he yelled into the house.
